The founder and creator NEW NORDIC

In 1990, Karl Kristian Jensen founded New Nordic. His dream was to develop herbal-based products that could nourish and activate life working in harmony with the human body. The unique goal was to find the perfect combination of herbs for each product to help with vitality and beauty. In 2004 François Gerard joined as a herbal expert and ever since they have travelled regularly all around the world to discover new herbs and ways to use what mother nature has to offer.

Karl Kristian’s vision is to make New Nordic products available all over the world. FRANÇOIS GERARD | THE CREATOR

François Gerard is the creator of many of the remarkable New Nordic products. With more than 30 years of international herb and beauty experience, François spends as much time travelling to distant places in the world investigating rare botanicals in their natural unspoiled environment, as he spends in the laboratory.

The New Nordic product creator François Gerard and Karl Kristian Jensen the company’s founder, are two of a kind. Experts in natural herbal ingredients, they are both equally intrigued in the healing power of nature and constantly investigate new herbs and compositions. One of their sacred tasks is to go out hiking in nature to get inspired and rediscover new natural alternatives that can bring us vitality.

François spends as much time travelling to natural unspoiled environments all around the world as he does in the laboratory. He has dedicated most of his life studying herbs in a detailed manner.

Karl Kristian Jensen established New Nordic in 1990 with the dream of developing exceptional herbal-based products that would help people live their best, healthiest life with effective food supplements and beauty products.

The CLINICALLY TESTED* Hair Gro ™ tablet is based on apple and palm oil extract. Palm oil naturally contains tocotrienols, which are in family with vitamin E. The capsule contains additional extract of millet, horsetail, amino acid, biotin and zinc. The tablet adds nutrients to the scalp and hair follicles (hair root) where the hair is formed. Annurca apples are probably the oldest known apple variety in the world. They grow in volcanic soil in Southern Italy, in an area with a radius of 50 km just north of Naples. The apples are small, juicy and sweet with a little acid and extra high levels of procyanidins. They keep their flavour, aroma and quality for a very long time. The extract from the Annurca apple is the secret behind the production of the Hair Volume ™ tablet.

THE PROCESS BEHIND THE EXTRACT

The annurca apples are picked and placed on beds of reeds, where they slowly mature. Every four days, the apples are turned by hand until they are perfectly mature and ready to turn into a fine extract where the desirable procyanidin are preserved.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is created when apple juice is fermented twice and mixed with yeast and sugar. A few weeks later, with a little help from natural bacteria, it reaches a point that sees the natural sugars turning into alcohol before being transformed into acetic acid. The resulting mixture is apple cider vinegar.

The benefits of apple cider vinegar in shampoo is that it has a mild exfoliating property that helps cleanse and stimulate the scalp, without drying out the hair.
