Dear Fellow Kiwanis Family Members, My name is Carolyn Chang and with the greatest honor I serve as Key Club Division 19 North’s Lieutenant Governor for the 2015-2016 term. I am currently attending El Segundo High School as a student of the graduating class of 2016. I have been in Key Club since my sophomore year and it has impacted and changed my life for the better. For the 2014-2015 term, I served as Executive Assistant. Serving in these past two years remind me of the improvement I have made since I joined and also have a sincere passion for Key Club to serve back on a higher level. Other than serving in Key Club, I am involved in my high school Drama class and in my church Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles in Alhambra, California. I joined Drama as a freshman and as a current junior, I have worked in back stage twice, performed as Large Lady, one pig from the Three Little Pigs, a dancer, and currently I am in ensemble for Beauty in the Beast for our musical. Also in Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles I participated in my church’s youth choir as a freshman and sophomore in high school and participated in Youth Speakers Tournament 2014. I also enjoy working in teams with others to learn the different types of personalities to collaborate with, and spending time with my family and friends. Key Club has aided me through most of my high school journey and developed me to the leader I am now. This service organization has opened my eyes and showed me the true way to serve back with a genuine heart. I see the impact of how one person can accomplish so much in a short amount of time. What Key Club stands for and trains members to prepare for the future ahead of them, inspires and motivates me to keep serving. Key Club inspired and still inspires me to put my best face to positively affect everyone and encourage all members to experience the dedication and passion to serve. I plan to show people how they can achieve and strive for their goals through diligence and perseverance while expressing the Key Club Core Values. I desire that members will see the happiness that I express and spread this energy throughout all events to inspire others to attend and become more passionate for this organization.
