Education | Eliminate Week
From May 4th until May 8th, Key Clubbers will be eliminating Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus, from The Project, by performing acts of service and advertisement around their school.
Education | The Eliminate Project
Kiwanis International and UNICEF have partnered up to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) from the world. Every year, MNT takes the lives of nearly 60,000 babies and a significant amount of women. The average is that MNT kills one baby every eleven minutes. Key Club International, along with the Kiwanis family, is contributing to The Eliminate Project by raising money to help deliver vaccines that only cost $1.80 to protect mothers and babies from tetanus.
How to start | Informing INFORM and educate the members you
serve (or even people out of Key Club), so they can spread the word about The Eliminate Project and soon help donate towards the cause. Ways you can inform people about Eliminate Week: E-mails Publications (posters, announcements)
Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) Verbally telling others (talking to people) Giving out food (check with your school)
How to Start | Advertisement
Another way to advertise Eliminate Week: Use the advertisement above as your Facebook cover.
AND/OR Use the advertisement on the right to post on all Social Medias.
How to start | Plan PLAN an activity within the club that you
serve, whether it be a fundraiser or verbally informing your peers about this horrible disease. Examples: Sell cookies or bows for $1.80.
Hold a restaurant fundraiser with a restaurant and receive some profit. Host a car wash costing $1.80 (keep a tip jar) and advertise saying all proceeds goes to The Eliminate Project. Hold a Pie in the Face and each pie would cost $1.80. Host a talent show, auction, or walk-a-thon, making admission $1.80.
