Ian Stringer As a teen, Ian Stringer played for the Syston football team and was an avid fan of Leicester City Football Club. His passion for football as a hobby quickly developed into a career for Ian. Starting at the BBC Three Counties Radio, Ian asked for help constructing and reading bulletins and even started to present the 5am-6am Early Breakfast Show that covered football around the globe. Ian is an experienced BBC sports reporter who has worked in live broadcasting for over 16 years around the world. In 2017, the Sports Journalists’ Association judges selected Ian for ‘highly commended’ within the Commentator of the Year for his work in calling the greatest sports story ever - Leicester City becoming Premier League Champions. Ian has worked at KPMG since 1985. In 2007, he was appointed Senior Partner for KPMG’s Leicester Office and, in 2014, for the whole East Midlands practice. Ian has served on the boards of Leicestershire Business Voice, CBI’s East Midlands Regional Council, the Richard III Visitor Centre, National Forest Charitable Trust, Special Olympics Leicester, and the National Space Centre. He’s also been a judge for the Leicester Mercury Business of the Year Awards and Business Executive Awards, and still acts as a judge for the Joe Humphries Memorial Trust Award Scheme. He received an honorary doctorate from De Montfort University in 2013 and was named Leicestershire’s Non-Executive Director of the Year in 2016.

Brewin Dolphin is a national wealth management company with a key focus on being active in local communities. For Leicester, that shows in the company’s support of a series of initiatives aimed at supporting local businesses and Scott’s professional colleagues in the county. Dr Kotecha has become an active Midlands business leader, taking up board and advisory positions for the Confederation of British Industry, Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership, Department for International Trade, and the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce. In 2016 he accompanied former Prime Minister Theresa May on her first overseas trade mission to India. Dr Kotecha also established the Randal Charitable Foundation. Its vision is to save lives, help the socially disadvantaged, and improve the quality of life for those in need in the UK and around the world. The business leader won Businessman of the Year at the Niche Business Awards 2018. He went on to win the Community Champion award in 2019.

Allison, who was formerly Deputy Head of Community at West Bromwich Albion Football Club, leads ‘Leicester City in the Community’ which is a charity working in partnership with Leicester City Football Club. She is a qualified teacher and trustee of several multiagency trusts. She has been heavily involved with the rebranding of the Leicester City in the Community trust. There have been a number of programmes and campaigns set up by Alli in order to give back to the community, particularly in schools. Her plans have helped to develop young people’s education, health, and community cohesion by working with various local organisations.

Glynis became a lawyer at the age of 42. Within five years of qualifying as a solicitor, she set up her own firm specialising in family law. Glynis Wright & Co won multiple legal and business awards and is now a leading provider of family law services in the Midlands. The company was named the national winner of Law Firm of the Year (Small) in the Law Society Excellence Awards 2018. Glynis was elected President of the Leicestershire Law Society in June 2019, having served on the executive committee of the society for the past four years. She is now Partner at Nelsons.

Simon is Managing Director of Red Monkey Play Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of outdoor wooden play equipment for schools that is focused on improving education for young children. Passionate about supporting the local community, Simon is Chairman of both the Leicester Riders and The Furnley House Foundation as well as supporting several local initiatives. A big fan of sport, Simon supports Leicester City, Riders and cricket.
