2015, Season of Success With no stand out lead story this week, and the news recently dictating several negative front pages for the Ibizan, we thought a simple reflection of the Island’s mood would be justified in giving our pages a shot of positivity. The ’Season of Success’ is not based on any of the endless and often quite meaningless statistics issued with great regularity by the institute of statistics and others, it is not based on any financial evidence or research, but it is based on something that perhaps gives a more reliable benchmark - the outlook of the many business owners we talk to both direct in work connected to the newspaper and indirect through press statements etc. It is the first year in at least 4 or 5, so long I have lost count, that not one business has used the word ’crisis’, other than an occasional reference to the fact it is over.
