Cairn Energy, the company undertaking petrol and gas surveys in the Gulf of Valencia close to the coasts of Ibiza and Formentera, have asked the Ministry of Industry for their survey permits to be cancelled. On Tuesday Alianza Mar Blava and Consell d'Eivissa technicians travelled to the Ministry of the Environment to ascertain the status of the project’s environmental impact statement and it was during the visit that the general director of Environmental Quality and Assesment, Guillermina Yanguas, and the Director of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, Pablo Saavedra, explained to the Ibiza representatives that the company had asked the Ministry to cancel the permits first granted in 2010. Representatives of Alianza Mar Blava then met with the Island Consell on Wednesday morning. After the meeting, the president Vicent Serra, said that it is "a great

2015 Balcony Deaths
1
31/05/15, Robert Gillespie, 25, Scotland. Every year we report on far too many deaths, and cases of paralysis and serious injury resulting from hotel balcony falls. Some are caused by the insanity of intentional jumps, some are due to inebriation, all are a tragic and unnecessary loss. Take some sensible steps. If the party has taken its toll and you don’t trust yourself, or your mates, to be safe, either lock yourself/them out of having access to your balcony and pass the key to someone else, or if that is not possible, leave the room to ride it out on the beach, hotel reception, or basically anywhere flat.
Brit dies in balcony plunge
A young man died last weekend after falling from a balcony on the fifth floor of the hotel Piscis Park in Sant Antoni. The deceased was named by the Guardia Civil as 25 year old, Robert Gillepsie from Scotland. The team from the Judicial Police headquarters has taken charge of the investigation and is working on two hypotheses: that the young man fell by accident or voluntarily jumped. The autopsy, will determine whether he had consumed alcohol and / or drugs. The death is the first of this season, but more are expected from the experience of previous years.

Police Face Charge Of Torture
Two policemen deny having tortured a detainee in Sant Antoni The victim identified one of the defendants, said nine guards beat him in Sant Antoni Two police officers face 5 years in prison for torture Two members of the Guardia Civil posted in San Antonio are accused of torturing and causing injury to a detainee in the bathrooms of the barracks, after discovering that he had used his mobile phone within his cell. They have denied charges during the trial for the incident which occurred in the early hours of October 11th, 2009. "I never hit him. I did not do anything. If he recognizes me, it was because I put the shackles on him", said one of the accused in the court of the Audiencia Provincial de Balears in Palma, Majorca. The second accused Civil Guard, also denied torturing the detainee. According to his version, that morning he celebrated the feast of the patron saint of the Guardia Civil barracks in the courtyard where 80 or 90 people were congregated. The officer, who was off duty and in civilian clothes, recalled that he went to smoke. It was then that he
saw the other accused and a companion, both in service uniform, leading the arrested and alleged victim to the cell. He then states that he heard screams and added that soon after he observed the defendant and other uniformed guards dragging the arrested to the bathroom down the hall. "I saw it from the outside. I heard screams, but did not see what was happening inside the bathroom”, he said. Both suspects face a possible five years in prison. The trial will continue next week with more witnesses, findings and reports. The apparent victim said that he was arrested for no reason as he left a bar with his ten year old son. On the street there had been a riot. "A guard shouted at me, and then I was on the floor. They took me to the barracks and an officer hit me in the car". According to him, one of the accused pulled him from the prison cell and brought
the Balearic Sea as examples. It is understood that the Ministry received the communication of withdrawal by Cairn on May 3rd, but failed to make the news available to other departments until May 25th, a day after regional and municipal elections.

Couple Deny Heroin Charges
A couple tried for allegedly giving a man a car with two kilos of heroin hidden in the baby seat denied any connection to the drug and to drug trafficking. Both said they do not know how the packets reached their car. The prosecutor did not believe their explanations and kept the sentence petition: five years in prison and a fine of almost 240,000 euros for each. When arrested, the accomplice, already convicted and imprisoned, declared to having been forced to transport the drugs due to a 16000€ debt he had with the couple. During the proceedings he denied this story.

Ibiza DJ’s election puts traditional politics in a spin The highly fragmented political jigsaw produced by Spain’s elections last Sunday has forced coalition-forming to the top of almost every political party’s agenda – and that goes for Ibiza, too, where one of the fun-loving island’s top disc jockeys may now become the town council kingmaker. Joan Riba, 51, who has spent two decades as a resident DJ at Pacha, one of the island’s best-known nightspots, has won one of four city council seats for a fledgling leftleaning political movement, Guanyem. Reflecting important but not crushing gains for similar anti-austerity and anticorruption parties across Spain in last weekend’s vote, Guanyem garnered 16.3 per

The City Council has transferred the cars to a local impound, adding that they have been removed to avoid the risk of contamination that could occur if there was leakage of oil or fuel. There is also more chance of vehicles catching alight with the arrival of summer temperatures. Landowners of private plots containing abandoned vehicles will be reminded of their obligation to keep their land clean and will be urged to take appropriate measures to prevent situations like this reoccurring.

Meanwhile, Ibiza’s current mayor,

He has a lengthy past in local politics and helped found Ibiza’s branch of Amnesty International. “Why is my job news?” Mr Ribas asked on his Facebook page. “Am I any more or less capable [to work in local politics] because of my job to represent people? House music all night long The property market in the Balearics is on the rise this March after the signing of new mortgages for home purchase was up 35.3% over the same month last year. Borrowed capital amounted to 64.5 million euros in the archipelago, 16.7% more than in March 2014, according to data released by the National Institute Statistics (INE). The figures suggest that, because of mortgages taken increasing at a faster rate than capital borrowed, the market in the lower price bracket for homes is particularly buoyant and may well be due to the increase in apartments being built throughout Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

Air Traffic Controllers plan walkouts in June Balearic Museums set to suffer
In a panel discussion held earlier this week in Madrid, Miguel Zugaza, of the Prado Museum, Manuel BorjaVillel, of the Reina Sofía, and Guillermo Solana, of the Thyssen-Bornemisza, clearly rejected the valueadded tax hike that currently sees cultural goods and services throughout Spain burdened with a 21% rate. Museums in Ibiza and Formentera, no matter the size, will all suffer alongside the larger institutions on the mainland. Solana sums it up by saying, “I understand the dire situation, but the Treasury has been notoriously insensitive and probably not proportionate to the profits expected..”

Spain’s air traffic controllers’ union has called for temporary strikes on June 8, 10, 12, and 14 to protest the national airport authority’s decision to reprimand 61 controllers over a stoppage that led to the closure of Spanish air space in December 2010. The walkouts are set to take place between 10am and 12pm, and between 6pm and 8pm on those days. Walking on Water is Possible
Dozens of onlookers were on the promenade in Santa Eulària watching the curious artefact approaching the dock of the Yacht Club on Sunday. It was a kind of hamster wheel adapted to the size of a human, which makes it possible to walk on water but entirely devoid of divine glamour.
Safety first on Ibiza’s roads The San Jose road has a new roundabout to allow easier access to Ibiza airport. The roundabout is located at the km 4.4 section of the Ibiza to San Jose road, a notorious blackspot for accidents. The works were agreed upon after requests by residents of Sant Jordi, and were completed to schedule after three months of construction at a cost of 327,443 euros. The
The union is also demanding the reinstatement of a controller in Santiago, who was dismissed four years ago over his role in the strike. On December 3 and 4, 2010, air traffic controllers across Spain either failed to show up for work or abandoned their posts in order to protest against a decree passed by the then-Socialist government to significantly increase their working hours at the same time as it lowered their salaries by a claimed 30 percent. As a result, the Public Works Ministry ordered the closure of Spanish air space, causing chaos at airports across the country over a holiday weekend.
project aims to "improve the security of cars and pedestrians on a contentious point of the island road network". The Government has also invested a further 326 290 euros in a new elevated walkway in Ibiza Town, so that pedestrians do not have to navigate traffic crossings at street level.
More Farms for Formentera The Consell de Formentera has stressed that the 'Land Fund' project, promoted by the Cooperativa del Campo and the insular institution, has added five new farms to the program. The manager of the Cooperative, Carlos Mari, said that "with the addition of these lots, which add up to 68,000 square meters, the surface of abandoned agricultural fields to be recovered are 242,000 m2" Thus, it has been reported that the plots are spread across the island and work has already started on 6 of the 21 farms targeted by the program. It has been stated that planting will take place in November and December.

The fire caught hold quickly as flammable materials were stored in the greenhouse. Locals praised the effective performance of the fire service. Even people in Playa D’en Bossa were aware of the fire. Veteran party animal, Darren Candy, reported

Help Stop Forest Fires! Association seeks sponsorship

The project has an estimated cost of 100,000 euros and is funded by LEADER funding, but this European aid does not cover the entire cost of installing this network of depots throughout the island. Tijuana
Way back in the 1990s Ibizan local Tony Torres, inspired from his visits to Mexico, opened a Tex-Mex restaurant underneath the Hostel Alicante in San Antonio. The food was authentic, but what made it an instant success was the atmosphere. Tony employed very loud and interactive staff, played Mariachi music and even had a selection of different sized sombreros for adults and kids to wear. Not one to rest on his laurels, Tony decided he could make some improvements to push the atmosphere and authenticity even further and relocated to a purpose-built venue right by the shouting man at the turn of the millennium. He built it from the ground up with excessive attention to detail, and I’m still reminded of Spielberg’s classic movie, ‘Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom’ as I walk in many years later to see if the food and atmosphere are just as good as they used to be. The first thing that strikes you when you enter through the doors is that the restaurant looks like it has been chiselled out of a cave. Aztec relics adorn the faux rock walls, and there are indentations
www.theibizan.com
everywhere full of little treasures. There’s even a rope bridge, which only children and extreme sports nutters would even think about crossing. The music is still Mariachi and what do I spy over there by the stairs? It’s a bundle of sombreros, which are already diminished as I scan the tables and see them on various laughing heads. The atmosphere is still raucous, fun and friendly. You would feel just at home here with your family or a group of mates. I take a seat and instantly get a phone call from another table. I had forgotten that each table has an old fashioned phone connected to all of the other tables. Host Tony comes over with a menu and he still has the boundless energy he had when he first dreamed of this concept. With location and atmosphere ticked, it’s time to check out the food. Now I have a slight aversion to beans which has always scuppered my enjoyment of most Tex-Mex places. Fortunately, Tijuana is as authentically Mexican as they come and I have plenty of options. I’m tempted to try the €13.90 set menu, but then I spot two of my favourite things.

For starter, I’ve gone for Spicy Chicken Wings – you have 2 choices, and I bypass the BBQ sauce and opt for Spicy. It comes in a little terracotta bowl and the wings are covered in the sauce and herbs. Moist with a crispy skin, the wings are everything I hoped for. My only complaint is the flavour seems to have seeped into my fingers, but then what can you expect? For main, I’ve pushed the boat out and am soon eating what is honestly one of the best Sirloin steaks I’ve ever had the pleasure of chewing. It’s easily up there in quality with some of the best grill places on the island. The sides are Mexican rice and potatoes so I feel a little bit healthy, but that soon goes when I have dessert. I’m absolutely stuffed, so have plumped for Hierbas. At least having that acts as a sort of shield for the amiable host, and Tony doesn’t force Tequila on me like the rest of the restaurant. I leave feeling contently full and a little jealous of the other diners. They seem to be having too much fun! Next time, I’ll bring a posse…

Relocating to Ibiza 3: Cathryn’s Story Carly Sorensen
Thirty three year old Claire Turley, originally from Manchester, and her thirty six year old husband, Ben, originally from Cornwall, live in Es Canar with their sons William, nine, and George, two. William was born in Manchester and George in Ibiza. Ben is the manager of an entertainment venue and Claire is a part time singer in shows around the island. They also have a small business supplying bouncy castles for events and parties. Most recently Claire has set upon a new venture, supplying performing Disney and superhero characters to appear at or host children's parties and events. I chatted to Claire about why she and Ben had chosen Ibiza. How long have you lived here and why did you decide to relocate?
We moved here about 3 years ago. We had met on the island in 2003 when Ben was a DJ and I was a performer. In 2004 we
moved back to Manchester, we bought a house, and we went back into 'normal jobs'. After becoming totally frustrated with the lack of a work life balance in the UK, having stressful jobs and terrible weather, amongst other things, we jumped at the opportunity to move back to Ibiza when Ben was given an opportunity to manage the venue where he had once been a DJ. We had holidayed every year in Ibiza and had also got married on the island in 2010. We never imagined we would end up back here 12 years later bringing up our children. Any regrets or things you miss?
It is the best decision we could have made for our family. At first we missed silly things, shopping, certain foods, no bank queues, simple systems, etc, but you adapt quickly and forget about those things because the sacrifice is so worth it. All we miss now is family and friends, but we get many visitors and we try to get back to the at
least UK twice a year. What are the best things about living here?
The best thing about Ibiza for us is the outdoor life we always wanted to give our children. There is not so much pressure on them to grow up, be into the latest craze, etc... They are learning another language, mixing with children of different cultures and nationalities, exploring the outdoors and enjoying everything Ibiza has to offer them. There is far less TV and computer time than our friends children get in the UK because the weather allows you to do so much more with them. It feels like back in the UK your day is so much shorter and ends at 6pm, when you have finished work and have had your dinner... We also love how friendly everyone is and how you are not frowned upon for taking the children to a restaurant. Everyone seems to love the children being
of
around. And the worst things?
The worst things are not necessarily bad, just frustrating... Nothing is very fast or simple. Every form you need to fill in, something you need to apply for or register for, waiting for your car to be fixed, etc. are all very long winded and rather complicated. Shopping, especially for children's clothes is not the
best, but as long as you are organized and prepared to wait for deliveries of what you need its fine. There is also a lack of things like mother and toddler groups, where you can meet other new mums with small children and let them play while you have some adult chat! What advice would you give someone thinking
moving over here?
Best advice for a family wanting to the make the move here is that nothing comes cheap! Especially when you are looking for a place to live. Rental prices, for houses in particular, are high and always in demand. You need to be on constant look out for what you want and move fast if you see it!

Baby Names
Lucía and Hugo: the most popular baby names in Spain Classics such as José and María continue to top the charts for population as a whole
Lucía and Hugo are the most popular names for babies born in Spain, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE), which reviewed 425,390 birth records for 2013. Hugo has pushed Daniel off the podium after the latter topped the baby boy name charts in 2012 and 2010; Alejandro was the most popular in 2011. As for girls, the situation remains much more stable, with Lucía leading the rankings for the third year in a row. It is followed by María, Paula, Daniela, Martina, Carla, Sara, Sofía, Valeria and Julia. Forty-three percent of the Spanish population has one of just nine surnames After Hugo, the most popular boy names in 2013 were Daniel, Pablo, Alejandro, Álvaro, Adrián, David, Mario, Diego and Javier. In the Spanish population as a whole, regardless of age, the classic names still rule. Statistics from 2014 show that the top five men’s names are Antonio, José, Manuel, Francisco and Juan: 12 percent of the entire male population has one of these names. On this ranking, Hugo is listed 70th, behind Mohammed. As for women, María del Carmen is followed by María, Carmen, Josefa and Isabel. Lucía ranks 20th on this list. Additionally, 43 percent of the Spanish population, or 20.4 million people, have the surname González, Rodríguez, Fernández, López, Martínez, Sánchez, Pérez, Gómez or Martín.

Top 12 countries where British expats say they are healthiest and wealthiest A study by the Centre for Future Studies points to na-
tions where Britons are living the high life Australia remains the most successful destination for British expats but the Far East has soared up the rankings for overall quality of life, a survey has found. Nine out of 10 Britons (89pc) living in Australia reported an improved quality of life, according to the seventh annual NatWest International Personal Banking Quality of Life index, undertaken by the Centre for Future Studies. Some 82pc said the main reason for living in Australia was a better environment and quality of life for their children and 73pc said their health had improved. More than two-thirds (68pc) said they were wealthier in terms of having an increased disposable income, and 88pc rated the state of Australia's economy highly. More than eight in 10 (84pc) said the Australian sunshine was one of their top five reasons for living there, with 87pc saying they would remain indefinitely and 28pc saying they had already retired. But China, Singapore and Hong Kong have risen sharply in the rankings since 2008, with China jumping the most from 11th place to fifth. Among British expats in China, 71pc moved there for better job prospects and 87pc said they earned more than they did in the UK. Half (49pc) said their worklife balance had improved,
citing a friendly local culture, good food and good fitness opportunities. Almost half (48pc) said the quality of public transport in China was a draw, citing the bullet trains, city subway systems and vast bus networks. Expats in Singapore, which has risen from ninth place in 2008 to fourth place, gave it a low score for work-life balance but rated it highly for raising children because of its "excellent" albeit expensive childcare and education. But 53pc said they worried about job security. British expats in Hong Kong, which has risen to eighth place after failing to rank in 2008, said they were attracted by low taxes (74pc), efficient public transport (58pc) and the widespread use of English (92pc). The downsides were a shortage of international schools (34pc), overcrowding (73pc) and air pollution (94pc). The United Arab Emirates (UAE) took third place in the index for the second year running, with 92pc of British expats there reporting a high disposable income, 84pc enjoying a good working environment and 82pc saying they had excellent career prospects. But almost three-quarters (71pc) reported they had found it difficult to make friends and integrate into the community. Austerity measures and fears over job security were
prompting 63pc of British expats in Europe to consider returning to the UK, according to the index, while a third of expats in France (31pc) said they would move back to the UK permanently. NatWest head of international personal banking, Dave Isley, said: "Our seven year Quality of Life Index has shown Australia to be consistently popular with British expats and who can blame the many Brits who have decided to make their home in this sunny country which has fared reasonably well during the financial crisis. "But the survey has revealed some interesting shifts. "With the heyday of Europe seemingly forgotten, the Far East has tempted many expats to dip their toes into a different life, one they appear to be reaping the benefits of. "Better career prospects and higher wages are enjoyed by many in China, Singapore and Hong Kong, which has lifted these countries up the league table."
The top 12 countries, as ranked by the index, 1. Australia 2. Canada 3. United Arab Emirates 4. Singapore 5. China 6. New Zealand 7. South Africa 8. Hong Kong 9. USA 10. France 11. Spain 12. Portugal

Insider’s Guide to Coping With The Disco Bus…
If you have never used the Disco Bus it is worth it even if you don’t need it. Nutter central—take your camera. In their own words “DiscoBus is the most safety, funny and cheaper transport you never find”. Bless them.
Discobuses start Claire B
The Discobus routes begin on June 1st, except for the route to Santa Eulalia and Es Canar, which starts on June 6th. The five routes link the main parts of the island with the main clubs. The bus from the port in Ibiza to San Antonio links Pacha with Amnesia, Privilege and the clubs in San Antonio. The bus from Space to Pacha links the clubs in Playa d'en Bossa (Space, Ushuaia, Bora Bora and Sankeys) to Ibiza
Town and Pacha. The route from San Antonio to Playa D'en Bossa links those two resorts and their clubs including Amnesia and Privilege, which are in between. There’s a route between Port d’es Torrent and San Antonio and the route between the port in Ibiza to Es Canar via Santa Eulalia begins on June 6th. All the routes operate every night at regular intervals throughout the night until September 30th. Each journey costs 3€. More info for all bus routes is at: http://www.ibizabus.com
Top Tip—don’t assume you’ll get a place on the last bus, especially from Amnesia and Privilege—there is no queue, it’s just a bun fight for whatever seats are left. Get stuck in, or hang back, be cool, and chat to the locals. They’ll always know the best place to go next.

Eden Stan Farrow Eden conjures up many different images. If you’re religious and British, then the name probably lends itself to visions of a paradise formed when the Lord God

apparently created everything in 6 days. If you’re into history and British, then the name may give thought to one of the 170 parks created by the 18th Century’s Capability Brown, known as England’s greatest gardener. If you’re a clubber and from Earth then the name is more synonymous with Ibiza, specifically San Antonio. Now Eden has had a rough ride over recent years. Once home to hugely popular nights such as Pete Tong’s Wonderland and Judge Jules’ Judgement Sundays, the club was completely refurbished in 2013. The new owners installed a Void

sound system, and turned the interior into a dark, brooding, futuristic space. It should have been an unrivalled success, but a very spethial promoter took over the whole club and, according to everyone with any knowledge, expertise or who actually went, completely buggered it up. Until recently, we weren’t even sure the club would be opening this year, but the club is back in the hands of the owners and back in business once more. Social media abounds with the #edenibizaisback hashtag, and the club’s reputation really seems to hang on the success of this Opening party. Can Eden bounce back so soon? Only one way to find out… On entry, I decide to swerve clear of the other press bods posing in the VIP and investigate the minute details. I mean really investigate. I’m even going to check the quality of the tile grouting in the toilets:
The Bar
First thing I do, and I’m hoping that most people do, is to grab myself a drink. There are bars everywhere, I manage to hit one on entry and get served within a couple of minutes…not too shabby considering how stupidly busy it is, and the price is reasonable as well for someone of my frugal habits.
The Sound System
I had an inkling of this in the queue, but I needed to hit the middle of the dancefloor to really appreciate the quality of this system. Void’s reputation as pioneers of sound is up there with Funktion One and it’s warranted. The bass throbs, the hi-hats are crisps and the mid-range is warmer than my cat’s furry ears. I love this system and won’t be surprised if more clubs in Ibiza follow Eden and DC10’s example in future by installing Void.
The Lighting
This can be the make or break of any club. Too dark and people can’t see enough. Too light and people see too much. Eden has gone more down the dark route, but the myriad of strobes, spots and LED strips throughout the club enables my good self to navigate the walk ways and also shines a light on the new décor and furnishings. I think they’ve got it just right, until the smoke machine sends me temporarily blind.
The Toilets
Often over looked by the men folk, the mark of any establishment from restaurant to aqua park is the state of its freshening up facilities. I wander for my first visit quite some hours into the opening and was pleasantly surprised by the
When I arrived, Prok & Fitch were belting out ‘Walking with Elephants’ and just finishing their set for the arrival of special guest, Mark Knight. Within minutes, the already throbbing crowd, seem to swell as the music gets that little louder and more energetic. The crowd are lapping this up and it sounds great on the new system. Eden seem to have firmly set their music policy for the year to come as Tom Crane, Grant Collins and Dermot C wrap things up late into the morning with a selection of funky, minimal bangers. It really is a testament to Eden that so many island faces and residents have made the effort to turn up tonight. After talking to some of them loitering on the edges, I realise that they haven’t come here to see a club fail. They really want it to be a success. They understand that great quality clubs will ultimately bring in more people and can only be good for the whole area. Well, they’re in luck… Eden may have suffered a blip last year, but this one night has erased it. They have a cracking set of nights linedup for the summer and I, for one, am really looking forward to seeing how that grouting holds up.

Opening Parties Stan Farrow The summer tourist season fully kicked on the weekend just gone. We made the herculean effort of visiting Privilege on Friday, Ushuaia and Amnesia on Saturday, and finishing off at Space on Sunday. Talking of Hercules and his twelve labours it may well have been easier to clean out the stables at the San Rafael Hippodrome, but this marathon clubbing mission was without doubt much more fun and only slightly less smelly. According to the Leisure Association of Ibiza, 12,000 - 15,000 people passed through each establishment over the opening weekend, making an estimated six million euros for the island. Convinced that we probably contributed the lion’s share of that estimate, we reconstructed the events of the weekend into some sort of sense. If you managed to miss it or want to try and piece it together, then here’s what vaguely happened. Our first port of call was at Privilege, who are celebrating their twenty second season since renaming the club from Ku. We got there early doors to avoid the mayhem of the queue and walked into a wonderland of sound and visuals. ALITOU was starting up in the main room, but it wasn’t until 2:30am, and the arrival of Kryder, that the party really got going. Next up was the main course of Example and DJ Wire who rocked it, but it was the show on the main stage that sums up what Privilege is all about. Ever since Manumission had its home here, the club has been known for cabaret and slightly bizarre dancers. Tonight was no exception with galactic go-go dancers in odd helmet/horse hair combinations and a live orchestra performing to a kaleidoscope of spotlights, glitter and confetti. The huge club was rammed from 2am, which is also when the Vista Club opened its doors supplying a much more ‘get down and dirty’ vibe. We lasted pretty well and left as the sunrise was streaming through the Vista Club windows, not really pacing ourselves for the weekend ahead. Would we ever learn? Next up, we headed down to Playa d’en Bossa for a bit of daytime clubbing at Ushuaia’s Opening. A relative new kid on the block, Ushuaia has never the less managed to firmly implant itself as one of the major venues on the island and we’re a little excited. The major advantage of daytime clubbing, aside from the sun and skimpily clad people, is that you can see everything going on…and there was plenty to see here. The huge screens on stage bombarded the crowd with expensive 3D visuals, girls were dancing on platforms in the pool and fire and smoke seemed to be going off everywhere. Not only was Ushuaia a visual feast, the DJ line-up was also impressive. We were treated to the deck skills of a
host of talent including Maya Jane Coles and The Martinez Brothers. The music suited the daytime beautifully and we even managed to cool off with a little water action. So now to the night-time and we get in a quick disco nap, purely because we know that Amnesia has a habit
of staying open long into the next day. It’s roughly 4am when we walk in the doors and turn right into the main room. It’s as impressive as ever with that awesome sound system, the jet powered smoke machines and possibly the largest collection of dancers on the island, who were throwing shapes in black skin tight outfits. The music in the main room is what you expect at Amnesia; hard and funky. The terrace took on a slightly deeper vibe and was closed out by Maceo Plex, who began at 10.00 am – we told you it went on late! We do something a little silly now, we decide to head straight over to Playa d’en Bossa to wolf down some food before going into Space. Not even one wink out of forty was taken, but we’re buzzing with excitement as we head into the car-park out the back of the club which, as in previous years, has been turned into a techno paradise. The sound system is superb as per usual and we probably witnessed the set of the week-
end when Luciano absolutely ripped the crowd apart. All of the arenas were open by 8pm and we were spoiled with a selection of over 37 artists, loads of gorgeously dressed dancers and loads of feel good, smiley people. So we did it - four clubs in three days, and they were all awesome. Check the websites out for the upcoming line-ups throughout the next few months. I have and it looks like it’s going to be a cracking summer! Now to get a rest before the closing parties… (Continued on page 14)

He kept everyone dancing but his music was a bit slower than we had expected, let’s just say he wasn’t playing Space! By 11pm we decided it was too crowded, we had been dancing for five hours and couldn’t get near the bar to get another drink so we went home agreeing it had been a great evening at a lovely place!

Mind Body & Soul
Listen To Your Heart Sabina Brownstein
Wouldn’t it be great to have a source of wisdom that could give you the answers to all of life’s questions? Perfect responses for everything from the biggest decisions to the smallest wonderings: Should I take that job? Is she/he right for me? Can I trust him? Should I go out or stay home? And on, and on, and on… Whatever the situation, your path to happiness would always be clearly marked. Sound good? Well, congratulations, because each of us already has an inner guidance system that always stands ready to steer us in the right direction. It is our wisest self or soul self, and it speaks the wisdom of our hearts. The challenge that we all face is learning how to consistently connect with this heart-based wisdom so that we can follow our inner knowing. Every situation in life presents you with the opportunity to choose whom you wish to be in the world. You can either continue the same old responses and reactions that have been programmed into your mind since birth, or you can choose to follow a more intuitive
path. That path leads to the wisdom of your heart, and the easiest way to find it is through heart coherence. Your heart is the most powerful organ in your body, and it produces an electro-magnetic energy field that is five thousand times stronger than that of the brain. When we are feeling love-based emotions like joy, caring and compassion we create a special frequency called coherence that greatly increases our ability to access the inner intelligence that flows from our hearts. Coherence is strengthened through practices that teach you how to access inner stillness, because in order to find the wisdom of your heart you must first get past the chatter of your mind. There are many ways to find that peaceful place within, and whatever feels right for you is your perfect path. Meditation is the classic approach and it works well with breathing exercises that help you to travel inward. Moving meditations like Yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi connect you with your inner presence by working through the body and breath. Being in Nature is the simplest way to
strengthen your connection to the wisdom of your heart. Walking in the countryside, working in your garden, or just sitting under a tree lets you feel the stillness which is always present in nature, and through that stillness you can experience your own inner peace. Of course the point of all this is not to spend your life sitting on the top of a mountain in silent meditation. The reason that we build a strong connection to the energy of our hearts is so that we can have access to that wisdom when making choices about how to act in the world. Each of us has a unique gift to give to the world. That gift is our beautiful inner light creatively expressing itself in every aspect of our lives. So whenever you come to a crossroads in your life remember these simple words from The Little Prince: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.” If you have any related questions please get in touch with me via my email below, or see my advert sabi-

How to become an Organ Donor in Spain Nicole Torres Spain has had the highest donation rates worldwide for 23 years. In 2013, 4.279 operations were performed from 1.655 donors, representing a rate of 35.3 per million people, according to the World Transplant Registry. These figures exceed those of the European Union (19.5) and the US (25.8). But even though records show that the number of donors increased by 1.8% compared to 2012, every day there are more people who need transplants to live. It is estimated that 10% of recipients die before receiving an organ, as reported by the National Transplant Organization. To celebrate the National Day of the donor, we wanted to answer a simple question asks: How to become an organ donor? It is as easy a process as making a decision and communicating it to family and close friends, they will be the ones consulted by the doctors about the possibility of donating organs and tissues after death. The other way is by filling a donor card and carrying it around like your driving licence, anyway, this card has no legal value if the family is not aware of the decision. There are two ways to apply: -Digital Donor Card: by downloading it in PDF format or by the installation of an app for mobile devices. http://www.eresperfectoparaotros.com - Conventional or Physical Donor Card: through the regional transplant coordination office of your autonomous region. If you chance your mind, all you have to do is break the card and inform your family as there is no official record. Despite our willingness to be donors, not everyone can be. For a donation to occur, the death must happen in an Intensive Care Unit of a hospital so it is possible to preserve or-
gans and evaluate them. Donations are always made altruistically and are financially covered by the National Health System. This model has become a role model and is being implemented in much of the world.
ARIES – The High Priestess The High Priestess asks you to operate through feeling rather than logic this week. You’re able to rewind situations in order to refine previous thoughts or actions. Again you’re being asked to trust your intuition; you’re being guided to meet people who'll make a huge impact in your life. They’ll be drawn to you like moths to a flame. TAURUS – Judgement Time this week to weigh up what’s important in life and to make decisions that change your life direction. Maybe family and loved ones should become your priority and not work. Or even the reverse could be true. It’s a time to take your responsibilities seriously and to choose wisely; don’t judge or be harsh on yourself or others either. GEMINI - Eight of Swords You feel a little ‘off’ and are likely to be overwhelmed by deadlines or the demands of others; you feel like running for the hills! Stop struggling with impulse to have a couple of duvet days. You need this to restore your equilibrium; others will just have to get on with it. Next week you’ll be back in the game. CANCER – The Emperor You're on better form this week and have a more positive attitude; any tasks you need to accomplish now won’t seem so daunting. Your leadership qualities stand out and others will take notice of how you handle a difficult situation. Some of you will be approached to take charge of a new or existing project, so say yes with confidence. LEO – The Hanged Man This card brings a deep desire for self-change. You're determined to breakthrough old patterns of behaviour and to literally turn your life upside down in order to gain new perspective on life. If you’ve been in a stubborn mood lately, you now appreciate that a flexible approach will makes life better all round. Don’t however, make unnecessary sacrifices. VIRGO – Knight of Swords You’ll be challenged to stand up for your principles or even to take on those who seek to question your motives. You may feel at times that you're lying on a bed of nails; others around you tend be prickly. If the patient approach doesn't work, get creative and think outside the box in order to reach the right solution. LIBRA – Queen of Wands You’re on a voyage of self-discovery as this card encourages you to look into what drives and motivates you in life. If you need a second opinion, consult a fire sign woman; Aries, Leo or Sagittarius will help you with anything to do with business or more intimate areas of your life. Their advice will be worth listening to. SCORPIO – Justice Get to grips with health matters; decide on the right diet that suits you. You feel more balanced about situations that left you sensitive and out of kilter recently; they are now resolved in a more harmoniously. For those of you that write for a living; time to start an important project as your imagination/mind could improve your bank balance. SAGITTARIUS – Queen of Cups Others turn to you for support this and you feel obliged to help them handle difficult or emotional situations. It’s also time to be more authoritative and to set your boundaries, especially when it comes to having some time to yourself. Get your point across in a kind but firm way. Remind others that your kindness is not a weakness. CAPRICORN - Four of Disks You’re laying the foundations of a bright financial future this week; that could provide more than one steam of revenue. Pay attention to the details when finalising anything where money changes hands, make sure all's fair and square. ‘Money's round to go around’, as the saying goes; spend wisely on anything that's considered an investment, and that includes on you! AQUARIUS – Eight of Cups You're feeling a tad introverted this week and not sure of what you want, but on a mission to find out. A change of lifestyle is a good idea and you're thinking of ways to put this decision into action. You need some time alone to work this out. Look positively at your situation for positive changes to occur. PISCES – Ace of Cups Good news is on the way and with it a reason to celebrate. It’s a time of new beginnings and for some a birth that brings friends and family together. If you're awaiting an outcome to long running saga the indications are that you'll get the result you want. Emotional balance comes easy after a period of stress and vulnerability.

A summer stalwart, guaranteed to make you feel like it's June, even if it's pouring down, is the annual and biggest festival of all - Glastonbury. Now I’ll admit (very unfashionably), I'm not a fan of festivals. Firstly, I can't bear the thought of camping. Not that I've ever
tried it but the thought of trying to put up a tent and sleep amongst mud and thousands of 'merry' people without decent washing or toilet facilities makes me a little sick in my mouth. But that's just me. This is not my idea of fun: Tickets sell out within half an hour of going on sale every year. For this. Call me a spoilt brat but I'd sooner do what the likes of Nick Grimshaw and Kate Moss do and fly in via a helicopter, watch my favourite act from the side of the stage and the only tent I go anywhere near, is the VIP. Then fly straight home. But I doubt that will ever happen. Who am I kidding? True, I have had the luxury of VIP festival treatment in the past which makes me biased, but it's still not my bag. I know many of you love Glasto. So if you're going, enjoy! For me, I'm more interested in what everyone wears, besides the wellies of course, so enjoy my rundown of festival clobber available on the high street right now. If you do go down the muddy route this summer, there's nothing better than a hot bath afterwards and I've found the ultimate bath smellies guaranteed to make you smell so delicious, you'll want to eat yourself. Luscious Lush bath bombs have landed! More about this in this instalment online or in print very soon So slip into that bubble bath and enjoy this week's Zips It Up. x Read Amanda’s fashion blog http://amandazipsitup.com/

Shopaholic Abroad Sophia V. Shopaholic abroad? Yep, that's me! If it's one thing I love, it's shopping! And what better way to talk fashion, clothes, fave shops and recommended buys than diarising my shopping trips. Each week, I will share my latest splurges, amazing offers, discounts and photographs of stunning items. This week, I had a browse in San Antonio. San Antonio has some lovely little boutiques, larger stores such as La Sirena, El Coral Sports & Chic, brand shops such as Pacha, Space, Ibiza Rocks and more, shoe shops, cosmetic stores, and stalls to pick up some unique little pieces. I purchased some gorgeous shoes in a shop on the strip called Ibiza Smiles. They're black suede platforms, with white rubber soles. And they're so comfy! I hate the pain of wearing heels bring, but these don't hurt one bit, which I also find with wedges, which are my fave to party in. I also purchased a matching handbag from La Sirena, which comes with different straps, so it can be held as a clutch, around your wrist, or as a shoulder-bag. I also picked up a lovely little bracelet in one of the tourist shops. I love anything that symbolises things, such as Elephants representing good luck, crystals/gemstones for healing, and The Hand Of Fatima/Hamsa Hand as protection against the evil eye. The bracelets can be purchased in many stores and stalls in Ibiza, and come in different colours and styles. I also bought my sister one of the bracelets, with a pretty little Ibiza jewellery box, which I got from a souvenir shop. I also got a new eye-brow pencil from the new Mercadona. And the reason I’m raving about this is because it’s brilliant! It's an angled pencil, and amazing for getting that perfect arched brow. And I’ve tried lots of eye-brow pencils, shadows and cream based ones, but now, I’d never go back. For more of Sophia’s articles and tips check out her blog: www.sincerelysophiav.wordpress.com
Luscious Locks Sophia V. For some, getting hair to grow at the length we want can take months, maybe even years. Perhaps you’ve had a hair-cut and found it didn’t suit you, or you miss how your hair looked before. Luckily, there are several options to getting luscious locks, whether it be shoulder, or even waist length, curly, or straight in a variety of different colours, to create the illusion of thicker hair. For as little as 60 pounds, and over, you can get the hair you really want – whether it’s by way of hair pieces, clip-on, glued, sewn, or halo hair extensions. The hair can be 100% real human hair, or synthetic, however I strongly advise paying extra and purchasing real hair, as this can be styled with heat appliances, even coloured and blends in naturally with your own hair. Women have been wearing hair pieces for decades. And to this day, they’re popular amongst celebrities. Below are the different types of hair fittings, to help you decide which is best suitable for you. Firstly, there are the clip-in hair pieces. This can be a long, sleek clip-on ponytail, to make any up-do look glamorous. Or perhaps even curls, piled on your head. Or a thick top-knot. These pieces are easy to clip in, and usually come attached to a crocodile clip, or pull-strings. Secondly, there are standard wigs. Wigs can be brilliant if you fancy a different look every now and then. Perhaps you want to be a blonde one week, and a redhead the next. Or perhaps you just want your hair to appear big, rather than dull and lank. Wigs can be applied by placing on your head, adjusting it neatly to fit your head, and applying bonding glue along the perimeter of your hairline, leaving it to dry, until the wig feels secure. Thirdly, there are hair extensions. Hair extensions can be glued in. I highly recommend if doing this, it should be done by a professional, and also when removed, (with oil or other remov-
Page 19
ing agent) to prevent any loss of your own hair. Extensions applied by glue feel secure, and can last months. Another way is to have the micro-ring / loop extensions. The hair extensions aren’t glued to your own hair strands, but rather a small bead / ring to attach the extensions to your hair. Most salons offer this service. They can be removed by bending open the beads. These extensions usually last up to three months. Another way is to have the extensions sewn in. The extensions are usually threaded through cornrows in your hair. This can last several months. Clip-in hair extensions are another way of adding volume to your hair, and if you prefer to wear the extensions only now and then, or on special occasions, rather than for long periods of time. These can be individual strands, in all different colours, or they can be full pieces, for the back, sides, and front of your head. The packs usually come in 8 pieces. By sectioning parts of your hair, you clip the extensions in, ensuring that your own hair at the top covers the final line of extensions. These are great for avoiding hair damage, and easy to clip in, and out. They can last several months, maybe even years, if handled with care. Another type of extension is the halo hair extensions. These are amazing, and do not damage the hair in any way. The hair comes on a thin transparent wire, which is placed on the crown of your hair, and covered by your own hair. These are perfect if you’re always on the go, and want full, healthy looking hair in seconds. These are easy to place on the head, and remove with a gentle tug. And providing you take good care of them, can last forever. All of the above can be fitted, or purchased in most hair salons, and online, on websites such as – Amazon, Ebay, halo hair extensions website, and more. If you purchase human hair, and the colour doesn’t blend in with your natural colour, a hairdresser should be able to colour, and layer the hair so that it looks as natural as possible. I highly recommend, to keep your own hair unaffected, to use either the wigs, hair pieces, clip-
in, or halo extensions. For more of Sophia’s articles and tips check out her blog: www.sincerelysophiav.wordpress.com

Sport Jezza’s Sports Report ... Jeremy Parmenter
As we're now in to summertime (and don't we know it with all the clubs, both beach and night, now open!) let's start with some summer sports. Tennis
and Andy Murray is looking good for the Quarters at the French Open, the 2nd Major of the year, as he takes on Frenchman Jezza Chardy which should, on paper anyway, look straightforward. Great to see the big 4 still in, altho' the Fed was looking a bit dicey against local favourite Guy Monfils having lost the 2nd set but came back to win the last two. Biggest shock was in the Women as World No 2 and 2-time winner Maria "the Grunt" Sharapova was knocked out by little known Czech Lucie Safarova. Cricket
As reported last week England took a deserved 1-0 lead in their pre-Ashes 2 Test Series against New Zealand, but as in the previous Windies Series, look as if they could well lose the 2nd Test at Headingley as they face a mammoth 454 to win or bat out the best part of a day and a half to draw and win the series. Mind you, with Captain Cook in the form he's in and new boy Adam Lyth having scored a century in the first innings, anything's possible but logic tells me t'will be a drawn series. And what about this for some stats, as debutant and Windies destroyer Chris Gayle scored a huge 151 not out for Somerset on Sunday in a T20 Big Bash match in Taunton, with 15 sixes and 10 fours incredible, but the Cidermen still lost out, would you believe, by
“Sepp Blatter who makes Idi Amin, Adolf and Hussein positively innocent “ 3 runs. Put that in your cap, KP! Athletics
now and congrats to Alastair Brownlee as he won the London leg of the World Triathlon Series beating his bro amongst others. Also congrats to London Olympics Golden Girl Brit Jessica Ennis Hill as she qualified for the heptathlon for the next Olympics coming 4th in Austria, this her first event since having a baby some 10 months ago.
Rugby Union
Couldn't get the time off to see my old mates at Twickers but just as well really as Bath lost out to a very determined Saracens team 28-16 in the Premiership Final. My boys didn't come out to play really until the second half as they let Sarries build a 22-3 lead and although Bath came back to 22-16 and were well on top, t'was too much to claw back. Still a nice afternoon at Bash's, just shame 'bout
the result. No luck for Gloucester either as in the European Champions Cup PlayOff Final they lost out to Begles with the French outfit winning with a conversion at the death. Rugby League
And it was the Big Super League Magic Weekend at Newcastle's St James' Park with all the matches being played there over the w/end. Status quo tho' in the standings as leaders Leeds were beaten by 3rd placed
Wigan, 2nd placed St Helens beat Warrington, Castleford beat Wakefield, Hull beat Hull KR, Catalans drew with Huddersfield and Widnes beat Salford. Finally this week, Footie
and yes, it's still going on and altho' it pains me to say it, Congrats to holders Arsenal who, as expected, thumped Aston Villa 4-0 at Wembley in the FA Cup Final to win their 12th FAC, a new record. Also congrats to Mnsr Wenger
The Ibizan, Thursday 4th June 2015, Issue 786
who won his 6th FAC from 7 Finals but oh, how he would like to win the Big One! Mind you, two FA Cups as the only trophies he's won in the last 10 years isn't a bad record! Ooooh, miaow but at least all 3 English trophies are now in London! Congrats also to Barça as they won their 2nd trophy of the season, beating Atlético Madrid 3-1 in the Copa del Rey Final with that man Messi helping himself to a brace. Interesting fact here that this Saturday's European Champions League Final has both Barça and Juventus seeking the magical Treble as Juve, having won Serie A, also won the Italian Cup over the w/end so all to play for in Berlin. On paper, should be the Catalans but this is footie, and if Juve's blanket defence does what they did to Real Madrid in the Semi, and they park the bus, could be interesting and don't be surprised if the Italians win by 1-0! Final footie thoughts have to be regarding that old despot Sepp Blatter who makes Idi Amin, Adolf and Hussein positively innocent and FIFA. Firstly, surely it's time for him to go/be sacked/exterminated and secondly, in my experience, if he was head of a worldwide corporate, he would have been the first to have been booted out as all this corruption has happened on his watch and secondly, don't tell me he hasn't bribed all those FA's in Africa, Asia and Oceania to vote for him in last week's elections. My God, in sporting politics, he makes Jaoa Havelange, the ex-President of the Olympic committee (who, I hasten to add, was booted out for exactly the same thing!) look like a real pussy! 'This all for this week, have a good 'un, Jezza.

15/05 25 overs per side. Ibiza 164/5 beat LNZ 156/7 by 8 runs.
Ibiza chose to bat first and top order batsmen Martin Cooper (52 retired) and Sam Feasey (52) produced a useful 118 run stand which set Ibiza up well for a good score. This plus over 30 extras from the visitors allowed Ibiza to finish on 164/5, a healthy run rate of over 6.5 runs per over. LNZ bowlers Richard Brooks (2/24) and Liam O'Donnell (2/19) plus Sam Martin (1/10) were the wicket takers. LNZ then batted and kept well in touch with the required run rate thanks to Cheyne Voss (25) , an aggressive 69 from Luke Vivian and Sam Martin
(25). In fact, the visitors came to the last over needing 9 runs to win, but Ibiza bowler Graeme Cooper (1/24) kept his cool, caused a run out and took a wicket and LNZ fell short by 8 runs. The other Ibiza wicket takers were Sam Feasey (2/19) and Mike Amos (3/32), who continues to add to his seasonal tally of wickets for Ibiza.
16/05 30 overs per side. LNZCC 200/5 beat Ibiza 195/6 by 5 runs.
This time LNZ batted first and showed their intent to score runs immediately by opening with the formidable presence of the bighitting Luke Vivian (18). However, even when he fell early, the runs continued to flow, thanks to useful innings from Jarrad Bourke (46), Gerard Walsh (30), Cheyne Voss (21 not out) and Sam Martin (14 not out). In addition, Ibiza began with only 8 players, then 9, so with a fielder less than the visi-
tors, it was always going to be harder to prevent boundaries than usual, and this plus several dropped catches allowed the visitors to finish their innings on an imposing 200/5 off 30 overs. The Ibiza bowlers tried hard, with Robin Parmenter (2/ 38), and Mike Amos, Graham Boe and Indian newcomer Shubham all taking w i c k e t s . Ibiza now began their innings and did not start well at all, losing early wickets and soon falling to 30/4, then 30/5, and it was finally a 96 run partnership between Shubham
( 5 9 n o t o u t ) and RobinParmenter (26) that made the score more respectable. However, when the latter departed at 126/6, Ibiza were still 74 runs short of the target and it was another stand of 69 runs between Shubham and Mike Amos(43 not out) that made the run chase very close, also thanks to over 40 extras from the visitors. Ibiza finally finished on 195/6, 5 runs short of a tie, on the last ball. LNZ bowlers Sam Martin (2/25), and Richard Brooks (2/33) had the most success, with Liam O'Donnell and Jar-
rad Bourke taking other wickets.
the
This is the fourth consecutive match between LNZCC and Ibiza CC that has ended in the final over, with 2 wins each in games that are always played in a friendly and sporting spirit with plenty of entertaining cricket and banter! As is customary, we thank LNZ Chairman Gerard Walsh for bringing his team of eccentric Kiwis from London to Ibiza and long may this annual fixture continue!
Peña Play Off Progression
Great news for Ibiza, and specifically Santa Eularia, as Peña Deportiva beat Racing de Santander B by 1-0 last weekend to ease into the 2nd Round of the 3rd Division PlayOffs. This Saturday will see them taking on Algeciras. Forca Peña! Left: Jessica Ennis qualifies for Olympic Heptathlon Bottom Left: Giroud and Cazorla celebrate Arsenal’s FA Cup win

I Got You Babe 5 Minute Beach Read Carlie Pettitt ‘This is amazing,’ said Elle, throwing her hands into the air,
as she stood naked on the balcony of their water bungalow. Thirty six degrees of unadulterated sun beat down onto their already glowing skin. It was their last night in Barbados. ‘Come here,’ Danny said longingly. ‘Nope,’ Elle teased. Danny chased after her, his strong, muscular body, taking no time to wrap itself around her. ‘I knew it was only a matter of time, before we got together,’ he said adamantly. A slight menace and cheeky grin in his eyes. He was as besotted with her now as he was the first time he ever laid eyes on her. ‘No you didn’t. You knew nothing!’ Elle threw back. He rubbed his hand gently across her face. He had strong hands, big hands. The sort of hands that made you feel special and safe with one single touch. He gently clasped her hair, smoothly rubbing his hand across the back of her head. She paid lots for a massage like this back at home, and it didn’t feel half as good. All he wanted was to be close to her. The sea and sky merged into one vast blue horizon. Their bungalow was raised on stilts, with a private see through swimming pool nestled on top. There were only six bungalows in their exclusive resort, and they were so far spread, that you couldn’t see or hear a thing. They were going to celebrate their last evening at a Michelin star restaurant, nestled on the side of a cliff overlooking the sea. Today was their eleventh day of pure escapism. No phones, no hassle, no nothing. Just romance, good food, and the warm beat of the sun. ‘You know you love me,’ Danny said cockily. ‘You know you want me. You want my babies, I know you do.’ Elle laughed. ‘You say the most random of things. You’re always fishing for a compliment, or some sort of reassur-
ance.’ ‘You do. You want to marry me! I can see it in your eyes.’ ‘Well, in that case, if you can see what’s in my eyes, then you don’t need verbal reassurance.’ He smiled, staring hard. ‘Princess Elle,’ he said softly. ‘You’re my princess.’ Elle lay face down on the double sun lounger that stood magnificently on one corner of the wooden decking. She leant up on her arms and stared across at the soft powdered sand. She was relaxed, but confused. She couldn’t figure out her feelings for Danny. Was she in lust? Love? On the rebound? Only she could answer, but she did not know. Danny was a mystery. Whilst he had made no effort to hide is obvious desire for Elle, there was still a chunk of him missing. They had an undeniably strong, physical attraction, a want for one another. But, it wasn’t enough on its own, and Elle wasn’t sure how often Danny actually exercised his physical desires for an attractive woman. Danny had made it very clear form the get go, that he was in demand. That women wanted him. Elle was amused by this, and smugly triumphant that it was her who was sitting here, and not the streams of woman that apparently lusted after him. Men are funny like that, she thought. They’ve a preoccupation with wanting us to know that they have options. That we should feel lucky. But when you really think about it, if these options existed, or were half as great as they always make them out to be, then why is it me whose here and not them? On that note, Elle decided not to over think his other women comments. As ever, there was only one woman she ever thought about; herself. She was strong, sexy, confident. And whilst her latest venture was unclear, she decided to enjoy the ambiguity and revel in the glamorous indulgence that it came with. Danny was in the bathroom, on his phone texting: You know you want me Molly! Don’t try and kid yourself. You do realise we will be together at some point. . .
