Phoneme Á-Ä Unstressed Vowel Open Vowel Central Vowel Oral Vowel Not rounded
The phoneme is the smallest unit of sound of a language or dialect that makes the contrast of meaning to differentiate words, syllabes and letters. A phoneme of a language is an abstraction of a speech sound or of a group of different sounds which are all perceived to have the same function by speakers of that particular language or dialect. Stressed Vowels The vowel that is in the strongest syllable of the word. It can contain graphical accent or not, being dependent of the accentuation rules in this case. Unstressed Vowels The vowel that is found on the weakest syllables of the word. It does not has graphical accentuation, but may present the nasal graphic signal. Open Vowels The defining characteristis of a open vowel sound is that the tongue is positioned as far as possible from the roof of the mouth Closed Vowels The defining characteristic of a close vowel is that the tongue is positioned as close as possible to the roof of the mouth as it can be without creating a constriction Posterior Vowels The vowel that, in its pronunciation, is a point of articulation with the posterior part of the tongue towards the palatine veil. Acoustically this vowels are oral, grave and flat. Central Vowels The vowel that it is pronunciation happens with the middle part of the dorsum of the tongue, near the central part of the palatine vault. Acoustically this vowels are sharp. Oral Vowels The vowels pronounced completely through the oral cavity, without escaping by the nasal cavity. That is, sound is produced without nasalization. Roundeness Vowels In phonetics, vowel roundedness refers to the amount of rounding in the lips during the articulation of a vowel. It is labialization of a vowel.
The phoneme can not be mistaken with letter. While the phoneme is the sound itself, the letter is only the graphic representation of that sound. Therefore, phonology is the branch of linguistics that studies patterns of sounds in a language and across languages. Formally, phonology is the study of the categorical organisation of speech sounds in languages; how speech sounds are organised in the mind and used to convey meaning. The phonology of the word matula is remarkable owing to the sound contrast between the vowels A and U, in this case, considering the phonology of brazilian portuguese. The vowel “a” present both at the beginning and at the end of the word is the most acute and open sound, while in the middle there is “u”, which is the most grave and closed sound. Thus, both the phoneme of the word matula, the syllabes and the isolated vowels were recorded repeatedly in order to visualize a pattern. The studies found that the sound wave frequency of the vowel A corresponds to twice of the amplitude of vowel U. So to design the logotype M this mathematical reference has been used. In the three available versions of matula’s logo, it stay in evident the work on the proportion that is equal to the ratio of the sound frequency of vowels a-u-a, being equivalent to 2-1-2. The final design of the mark presents in the counterform, bars that use the mathematical ratio of 2-1-2.
Roboto Humanist Sans Serif Open Source Christian Robertson (2011)
About The typography was designed entirely at Google by Christian Robertson, an interface designer for Google, who previously had released an expanded Ubuntu-Title font through his personal type foundry Betatype. Roboto has a dual nature. It has a mechanical skeleton and the forms are largely geometric. At the same time, the font features friendly and open curves. While some grotesks distort their letterforms to force a rigid rhythm, Roboto doesn’t compromise, allowing letters to be settled into their natural width. This makes for a more natural reading rhythm. It belongs to the neo-grotesque genre of sans-serif typefaces, and includes Thin, Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black weights with matching oblique styles. It also includes condensed styles in Light, Regular and Bold, also with matching oblique designs.

The choice of a chromatic palette should translate the identity of the company. Therefore, because it is an executive producer of events, it is necessary to be aware of the diverse range of activities that will be worked out. So at first neutral colors were selected, black and white, because they convey sobriety, seriousness and commitment, exactly what the public seeks in a company in terms of organization. The amber was chosen as contrast, to break the monotony of neutrality , in addition to the physical aspect that provides strong contrast, there is a conceptual proposition, hot color, as the meanings of the word matula, from the food recipe to the pot.
