editorial Dear readers, June is here after a slightly strange May, given the low temperatures, but don’t worry, we’re bound to recover at the end of the season with a wonderful October.

If temperatures have not helped to warm the body, our upcoming news for the year surely will.

Our magazine has entered its seventh year, but let’s not talk about the crisis. We’re kicking off the season with two super covers: Joseph Capriati for Ibiza and Ricardo Villalobos for Formentera.

Joseph Capriati is an important part of the Music On team, and will present the new Amnesia main room and also talk about his new album.

Queridos lectores, llega junio después de un mes de mayo un poco inusual debido a las bajas temperaturas, pero no os preocupéis, porque seguramente se recuperará al final de la temporada con un magnífico octubre.

Name Joseph Capriati Where are you from?

Caserta, which is a small city 40 km north of Napoli in the Campania region of Southern Italy.

Relationship with Ibiza Ibiza is somewhere I have only recently gotten to know properly.

When I was growing up I never visited on holidays as it was too expensive for me but of course I heard all the stories and was very curious to find out what it was like for myself. The first time I got to visit was when I was invited to play for Mauro Picotto’s Meganite event at Privilege in 2008. To be totally honest, I did not really connect very well with Ibiza this first time. I failed to see what all the excitement was about or to understand the power of the Island. Since then I have usually played every year in Ibiza but it was only really last year, in 2012, when I was in Ibiza a lot playing for Music On, Amnesia and El Row, that I started to understand what Ibiza was really all about and how special and unique it was. By the end of last summer I was totally in love! Last summer I treated myself to two extended stays in Ibiza, once for my birthday and again for the closing weekend.

In fact I have spent my

last two birthdays in Ibiza and I plan to do the same this year.

This year you will release an album for Drumcode, tell us about it.

The album is called ‘Self Portrait’ and will be released in September.

This will be my second album after ‘Save My Soul’, which was released in 2010 on Markantonio’s Analytic Trail label from Napoli. These days I am part of the Drumcode family and have been working very closely with Adam Beyer for many years now, DJing together as B2B and writing music together. Adam and Drumcode have always been a great inspiration to me and so when I decided I was ready to write a new album I only wanted it to be released on Drumcode. I am very excited for it to happen as it has been a long time in the making. I

wanted it to be something special, more than just a collection of tracks which you might find on an EP. More of a personal project that allows me to express myself as a producer. I hope people will be pleasantly surprised with it because there are electronic, down tempo and breakbeat tracks alongside my more recognizable sound of techno and tech house.

Of course it is still a techno album with many tracks built especially for DJs but I wanted to use this project as a chance to show people all my musical influences, not just the styles which people know me best for. You will all be able to get a taste of the album very soon when I release a single in June which contains the two most dance floor style tracks which are ‘Fratello’ and ‘Awake’ and I will be starting an intensive album tour in September that will last for three months and cover Europe, USA and South America.

An artist who had a great influence on your music: You are probably expecting me to say someone who I have been following or working with for many years, but the honest answer is quite different actually. Last summer I met Danny Tenaglia for the first time while I was

Este año saldrá un álbum tuyo para Drumcode, cuéntanos algo al respecto.

El álbum se llama Self Portrait y saldrá a la venta en septiembre.

Será mi segundo álbum después de Save My Soul, que fue lanzado en 2010 en la etiqueta Analytic Trail de Markantonio de Napoli.

Hoy en día formo parte de la familia Drumcode y trabajo muy cerca de Adam Beyer desde hace muchos años, DJing B2B y escribimos música juntos. Adán y Drumcode siempre han sido una gran inspiración para mí, así que cuando decidí que estaba listo para escribir un nuevo álbum, sólo quería que se estrenara en Drumcode. Estoy muy emocionado de que suceda, ya que he dedicado mucho tiempo a su elaboración. Quería que fuera algo especial, algo más que una colección de canciones que se pueden encontrar en un EP. Es más un proyecto personal que me permite expresarme como productor. Espero que a la gente le guste porque hay pistas electrónicas, down tempo y breakbeat junto con mi sonido más reconocible que es el techno y el tech house. Por supuesto, todavía sigue siendo un álbum techno con muchas pistas construidas especialmente para DJ, pero yo quería utilizar este proyecto como una oportunidad para mostrar a la gente todas mis influencias musicales, no sólo los estilos con los que la gente me conoce.

De Caserta, una pequeña ciudad 40 kilómetros al norte de Nápoles, en la región de Campania, al sur de Italia.

Relación con Ibiza.

Ibiza es un lugar que hace poco que conozco bien. Cuando era más joven nunca venía de vacaciones ya que era demasiado caro para mí, pero, por supuesto, he oído muchas historias y tenía mucha curiosidad por vivirla. La primera vez que vine fue cuando me invitaron a pinchar para el evento Meganite de Mauro Picotto en Privilege en 2008. Para ser totalmente honesto, realmente no conecté muy bien con Ibiza la primera vez. No entendía por qué despertaba tanta emoción ni sentí la fuerza de la isla. Desde entonces, he tocado casi todos los años en Ibiza, pero en realidad sólo el año pasado, en 2012, pasé más tiempo en Ibiza, tocando mucho para Music On, Amnesia y El Row, y entonces empecé a entender lo que Ibiza era realmente, su peculiaridad y unicidad. ¡A finales de verano pasado estaba totalmente enamorado de la isla!

El verano pasado me di el gustazo de pasar dos estancias largas en Ibiza, una vez para mi cumpleaños y otra para el fin de semana de los cierres. De hecho he pasado mis últimos dos cumpleaños en Ibiza y tengo la intención de hacer lo mismo este año.

Of course I have always admired Danny as a pioneering DJ and a true tastemaker for electronic music but after we met we become close friends and I have gotten to know him well. So much so that on my last trip to America Danny was gracious enough to offer to open for me when I played a special Sunday evening party at an amazing new club called Output in Brooklyn. For me this was an incredible experience, to be introduced to the New York crowd

by Danny Tenaglia and for him to support me in this way. However, Danny is such a special person that our friendship goes beyond our connection as DJs. I have to say he has in some ways changed my life and given me great inspiration to be the best I can be with my music. As Danny would say, ‘Music Is The Answer’ and I truly believe this.

Last summer you had a residency at Music On. How was the experience?

What is it like to work with Marco Carola?

Last year was the first time I felt properly connected to Ibiza. It was simply incredible to have the chance to play so much in the inside room at Amnesia. I feel such a special connection with that space. The energy and atmosphere that I experienced at all my shows last summer made me truly fall in love with playing there. I really can’t wait to be back there this summer to see the changes they have made to the layout of the room and to continue my love affair with Amnesia! Of course this was only possible because of the support Music On has given me and I have to say I am very grateful to Marco Carola for giving me this opportunity. I am very much looking forward to being part of their second season this year and to enjoying many special parties again this summer.

Work, work, work! I have a crazy schedule planned with more than 30 gigs between June and August, including the Amnesia Opening, my residency at Music On and loads of great festivals including Awakenings where I will be part of a special line up in a Drumcode arena. I’m also going to be at Monegros, where I am playing B2B with Adam Beyer, and at Tomorrowland which is such a crazy festival with so many people and some really big global superstars.

What do you think about N&D Magazine?

I know the magazine well from my time in Ibiza last summer - you had Marco on the cover and the magazine seemed to be everywhere so congratulations on being so popular! I am very proud to be featured in Night&Day this season and I wish you all the best for another successful Ibiza season.

del álbum muy pronto cuando publique un solo en junio, que contiene las dos pistas más bailables que son Fratello y Awake y ya en septiembre empezaré una gira intensiva con el álbum que durará tres meses y abarcará Europa, EE. UU. y América del Sur. Defínete en tres palabras: Música, emoción, pasión.

Un artista que tuvo una gran influencia en tu música: Probablemente estáis esperando que mencione a alguien que he estado siguiendo o a personas que trabajan desde hace muchos años, pero la respuesta honesta es muy diferente en realidad.

El verano pasado conocí a Danny Tenaglia mientras estaba en Ibiza.

Por supuesto siempre he admirado a Danny como DJ pionero y un verdadero creador de tendencias de la música electrónica, pero después de que conocernos nos hacimos amigos y he llegado a conocerlo bien.

Tanto que en mi último viaje a América Danny tuvo la gentileza de ofrecerme abrir mi concierto un domingo por la noche especial en un nuevo club increíble llamado Output en Brooklyn.

Para mí fue una experiencia increíble, que se presentó a la gente de Nueva York por Danny Tenaglia y para que me apoyase de esta manera.

Sin embargo, Danny es una persona muy especial y nuestra amistad va más allá de nuestra conexión como DJ. Tengo que decir que de alguna manera ha cambiado mi vida y me ha ha inspirado para ser lo mejor

que puedo con mi música. Como Danny decía: «La música es la respuesta» y realmente creo en esto.

El verano pasado tenías una residencia en Music On. ¿Cómo fue la experiencia? ¿Cómo es trabajar con Marco Carola?

El año pasado fue la primera vez que me sentí bien conectado a Ibiza. Era simplemente increíble tener la oportunidad de jugar tanto en el espacio interior en Amnesia.

Sentí una conexión muy especial con ese espacio.

La energía y la atmósfera que he experimentado en todos mis conciertos el verano pasado me hizo realmente enamorar de tocar allí. ¡Realmente no puedo esperar a volver allí este verano para ver los cambios que han hecho a la distribución de la sala y para continuar con mi historia de amor con Amnesia! Por supuesto, esto sólo fue posible gracias al apoyo Music On me ha dado y tengo que decir que estoy muy agradecido con Marco Carola por darme esta oportunidad. Estoy muy ilusionado de formar parte de su segunda temporada de este año y para disfrutar de muchas partes especiales de nuevo este verano.

Planes para este verano. ¡Trabajar, trabajar, trabajar! Tengo una agenda de locos con más de 30 conciertos entre junio y agosto, incluyendo la apertura de Amnesia, mi residencia en Music On y un montón de grandes festivales como Awakenings donde voy a ser parte de una línea especial en un festival Drumcode. También voy a estar en Monegros, donde pincharé B2B con Adam Beyer, y en Tomorrowland, que es un festival muy loco con tanta gente y algunas superestrellas mundiales realmente grandes. ¿Qué opinas de N&D Magazine?

Conozco bien la revista del pasado verano, teníais a Marco en la portada y la revista parecía estar en todas partes, ¡así que enhorabuena por ser tan popular!

“le Vele... sapore di mare” “LE VELE... SAPORE DI MARE” café was born from a dream and the desire to escape.

Escape came from a life that was unbearable, both professionally and privately for Monica (one of the owners, the “eclectic” member of the group and a veteran of the restaurant industry). She had a recurring dream where she saw a room on a sunny beach where she painted candles. After a short winter weekend in Ibiza, she found the room she had dreamed about on this wonderful and magical Mediterranean island!

It didn’t take much to convince the other partners, Vito (restorer), Mussyè (former flair world champion) and Henry (technician/artist), to sign up to this crazy and magical venture to create a cool and friendly venue with excellent cuisine featuring Mediterranean products imported directly from Italy (with raw-food bio and vegan corner), pure Italian style coffee, delicious drinks and cocktails, accompanied by a tasty buffet and finger food, ice creams, iced drinks, shakes, and superb live concerts and DJ sets providing an ideal backdrop to this beautiful venue on the legendary beach of Platja d’en Bossa!

El café LE VELE... SAPORE DI MARE nació de un sueño y de escapar. Escapar de una vida que se había vuelto insostenible, tanto en el trabajo como en la vida privada de Monica (una de los propietarios, la «ecléctica» del grupo, veterana en el sector de la restauración). Este «escapar» se reflejaba en un sueño recurrente, en el que veía una habitación en una playa soleada donde había velas pintadas. Después de un breve fin de semana en Ibiza, en pleno invierno, descubrió que la habitación con la que había soñado existía en esta maravillosa y mágica isla del Mediterráneo. Hizo falta poco para arrastrar a los demás socios “Vito (restaurador), Mussyè (antiguo campeón del mundo de flair) y Henry (el técnico/ artista)”, en la empresa loca y mágica de crear un local de amigos con buena onda, una excelente cocina con productos mediterráneos importados directamente de Italia (con rincón raw-food bio/vegan) al más puro estilo de los cafés italianos, con bebidas y cócteles dignos de mencionar, acompañados de un rico bufé y comida para picar, helados, granizados, batidos y, sobre todo, conciertos en directo y sesiones de DJ que sirven de telón de fondo para este encantador lugar de reunión en la legendaria playa de Platja d’en Bossa.

After 7 years of success with the N&D Magazine and numerous relationships with international DJs, clubs, and radio stations, we are delighted to introduce our label, N&D Ibiza Music.

N&D Ibiza Music was born out of the need to create a musical benchmark for releasing the productions of our friends and all the talents that visit the white island.

The idea comes from our multiple collaborations, our radio shows and our road shows, and will involve artists who are already members of our family and in keeping with our philosophy.

But for those of you who don’t have the good fortune to be able to follow us in person, we feature on Ibiza Global Radio with two shows: once a week over the last 5 years our artist Matteo aka Apologist has presented Night&Day Session, a music trip that spans several genres.

Back to life: spring Volver a nacer: la primavera Hi friends. We are back again at the best time of the year: Spring, a time of growth and renewal. Vegetation begins to bloom, animals nurse their young, and we nurture the fruits the earth gives us during this wonderful season. It’s time to create and to be reborn.

In spring there is a rise in energy. Days grow longer and temperature changes are more frequent. This causes the body to feel a sense of physical weakness and fatigue, which many doctors call spring fever. The best way to face this is through proper nutrition and nourishment with fresh and seasonal foods, such as green leafy vegetables, chard, spinach or salad. Heavy meals such as red meat, oily or greasy foods, or salty foods should be cut out as they lead to greater passivity.

This is the perfect time for a liver cleanse or a fast with fruit juices and vegetables. Our body needs to release toxins and purify to give us energy and dynamism. It’s time to cook purifying broths, miso soup, barley and leeks, and add fresh fennel, beans, asparagus, and peas to our meals.

Change meat for tofu, spelt, and barley, and start eating fresh salads with herbs. Strawberries are an excellent spring fruit but nowadays have lots of pesticides, so wash them well to avoid allergic reactions. To start the day we suggest a glass of apple, celery and carrot juice with a slice of lemon and ginger followed by a boldo, calendula and rosemary infusion. Welcome Spring with all your light and tastes!

Es momento de crear, de renacer. En primavera se respira la ascensión de la energía. Los días empiezan a alargarse y los cambios de temperatura son más frecuentes.

Esto provoca que el cuerpo sienta una sensación de debilidad física y cansancio, lo que muchos doctores llaman astenia primaveral.

La mejor manera de combatir esta sensación es a través de una alimentación adecuada y nutrirse de alimentos frescos y de temporada, como verduras de hoja verde como acelgas, espinacas o ensalada.

Es conveniente eliminar comidas copiosas ya que inducen más a la pasividad, como es el caso de las carnes rojas, alimentos grasientos o aceitosos o alimentos salados.

Es momento de cocinar caldos depurativos, de sopas de miso, cebada o puerros, añadir en nuestros platos hinojo fresco, judías, espárragos, guisantes.

Cambiar la carne por el tofu, la espelta, la cebada y empezar a comer ensaladas frescas con finas hierbas.

Las fresas son la fruta excelente de primavera pero hoy en día son las que más pesticidas llevan, así que hay que lavarlas bien para evitar reacciones alérgicas.

Para empezar bien el día aconsejo un zumo de manzana, apio y zanahoria con una rodajita de limón y jenjibre y para terminar, una infusión de boldo, caléndula o romero. Bienvenida primavera con tu luz y tus sabores.

By pure chance, my journey as an actor crossed paths with three talents. They are the backbone of the Barcelona-based production company LIMON ESTUDIOS. Since 2011 they have not stopped working, and major companies such as Gas Natural Fenosa, Matinée, Reflex, Vodafone, Ron Brugal, Audi, Sanex and many more have relied on them ever since as a benchmark for trends, making them responsible for launching their products. Working for them on one of their projects has been a very rewarding experience for me.

Ernest Desumbila is the film director, and Albert Montero and Alejandro López are the Executive Producers and Production managers.

Max: You make a good team. How did you meet?

Alejandro: Well, in a simple yet complicated way. There was a lot of chemistry. Ernest always has lots of ideas, so we started working on them. The three of us each have our own role, but we work together on each role as well. We support each other and that’s what means that after two years, we’re even hungrier than ever.

Max: We are in Ibiza and Matinée is one of your most important customers.

What is it and how did the idea come around? Albert: Like every year, we have the difficult task of creating the right spot for Matinée Ibiza and innovating on what has been done already. The downside of this is that last year was a real success, with over 10 million views on Youtube. So this year we have to do better! Working with Matinée, we devised the concept of creating a fictional drink brand, which hides a powerful secret and stars in the new video. All inspired by a 90’s and retro-futuristic look.

Max: “90’s” and “retro-futuristic”? I see an explosive cocktail!

Alejandro: We wanted to include many ingredients in the production, action, humour, art, terror... which grab you from the start and don’t let go until the end, but you have a great time. This has all been possible due to the creative freedom that Matinée has

given us year after year. Customers like them are the reason why we always have to give 100% and always have to strive to improve ourselves. And you know what?

We always have a great time with all this stuff.

Max: What about the future, Ernest?

Got any plans for a movie?

Ernest: It’s a long road, but we feel we’re doing things the right way.

To direct and produce a movie the way we want to do things requires a great idea for the script and we’re working on it. For now, we just want to continue having fun and the dream of making a film will come true some time in the future.

Matinée con LIMON, Ibizious! muy gratificante para mí. Ernest Desumbila es el director cinematográfico, Albert Montero y Alejandro López son los productores ejecutivos y directores de producción.

Max: Hacéis un buen equipo. ¿Cómo os conocisteis?

Alejandro: Pues de una forma simple, pero muy complicada a la vez. Había mucha química. Ernest siempre tiene muchas ideas que materializar, así que nos pusimos a ello. Los tres tenemos un rol y todos los roles a la vez. Nos apoyamos y eso es lo que hace que después de dos años sigamos con más ganas que nunca.

Max: Bueno, estamos en Ibiza y Matinée es uno de vuestros clientes más importantes. El día 15 de junio en Amnesia lanzáis IBIZIOUS!! ¿Qué es y cómo surgió la idea? Albert: Como cada año, tenemos la difícil misión de realizar el spot para Matinée Ibiza e innovar respecto a

lo que se ha hecho anteriormente.

Lo malo de esto es que el año pasado fue realmente un éxito, porque contamos con más de diez millones de visitas en Youtube. ¡Así que este año tenemos que lucirnos bien! Trabajando con Matinée ideamos el concepto de crear una marca de bebida ficticia, que esconde un poderoso secreto y que protagonizaría el nuevo vídeo. Todo inspirado en una estética noventera y retrofuturista.

Max: ¿«Noventera» y «retrofuturista»? ¡Ya veo que os ha salido un cóctel explosivo!

Alejandro: Queríamos incluir muchos ingredientes en la producción: acción, humor, arte, terror… Que te agarrara desde el inicio y no te soltara hasta el final, pero que te lo pasaras en grande. Todo esto ha sido posible gracias a la libertad creativa que nos da Matinée año tras año.

bles de que debamos superarnos y tengamos que dar el 100 %. ¿Y sabes qué? Pues siempre nos lo pasamos en grande con toda esta movida.

Max: ¿Y en el futuro qué, Ernest? ¿Para cuándo ese largometraje? Ernest: El camino para eso es muy largo, pero sentimos que lo estamos haciendo bien y dando los pasos correctos.

Para dirigir y producir un largometraje como nosotros queremos necesitamos una gran idea para el guión y ya estamos trabajando en ello. Por ahora solo queremos seguir disfrutando de esto y en un futuro, ese sueño al que te refieres, ya llegará.

On Sundays from 10pm, the walls at NINE will reverberate with exquisite sounds selected by female DJs to create a sensual and delicate atmosphere full of high quality music.

The stars of the show are local, national and international female DJs. Nine dates have been scheduled for girls to take over the NINE booth and enjoy centre stage for the night.

There will be nine additional dates with both girls and boys in the booth for a Back to Back session. It will be a really exciting experience and a sensory delight: the crowd will be fully seduced by the DJ girls who will take charge of the booth at NINE on Sundays.

The most sensual night on the island now has its own name: INFEMININE.

WillieBuetas & HugoProaudio Names Willie Buetas and Hugo Proaudio Where are you from?

Ibiza and Galicia Age 35 Relationship with Ibiza We’re involved in making good sounds and electronic music production. We were pioneers at raves and outdoor parties in the 90s, always providing underground alternatives for the island. We are also the founders of Funktion One sound in clubs and love everything the island has to offer.

When did you start this project? The project started when, after long studio sessions, we realized we could bring lots of forgotten elements back to life, such as the analogue sound of old machines, so we decided to incorporate all this knowledge of the past. It’s a way of making music in real time where everything is spontaneous, a kind of electronic jam where we just prepare machines to launch sounds depending on the vibe and the crowd.

What does M2M mean? It is a chemical formula that grew between the two of us. Our unique sound is a mental drug like the music that brings us together when we play live. Where do you get inspiration for your songs?

Inspiration nearly always comes from manifestos and things related to human freedom.

What software do you use? To play live we use analogue machines. Most are sequenced and we also use external elements such as Ablenton for sounds that can’t be reproduced by machines and manifestos.

Your plans for the future We’re creating a centre of studies and professional sound where we’ll cover all types

of artists, either at production level, classes, recordings and much more.

What surprises have you prepared for the 2013 season? We have a new live show to launch in the middle of the summer and we hope to enjoy it with all of you.

What do you think of N&D? It is certainly the most professional and balanced magazine at the moment, with a wide range of information.

el estudio, nos dimos cuenta de que podíamos aportar una gran variedad de elementos olvidados, como el sonido analógico de máquinas antiguas, y decidimos incorporar de nuevo todos los conocimientos del pasado. Es una forma de hacer música en tiempo real donde todo sale en el momento, como un jam electrónico donde solo tenemos preparadas las máquinas para lanzar sonidos en función del ambiente y del público. ¿Qué quiere decir M2M? Es una fórmula química que formamos entre los dos y nuestro peculiar sonido es una droga mental como la música que nos hace sincronizarnos a la hora del directo. ¿De dónde sacáis la inspiración para crear vuestros temas?

La inspiración nos viene casi siempre de manifiestos y temas relacionados con la libertad del ser humano. ¿Qué software utilizáis? Para el directo usamos máquinas analógicas. La mayoría se van secuenciando entre ellas y también usamos, como elementos externos, Ablenton para sonidos que no pueden reproducir las máquinas y los manifiestos.

Vuestros planes para el futuro Estamos montando un centro de estudios y sonido profesional donde daremos cobertura a todo tipo de artistas, ya sea a nivel de producción, clases, grabaciones y demás. ¿Qué sorpresas nos habéis preparado para esta temporada 2013? Tenemos un directo nuevo que lanzaremos a mitad del verano con el que esperamos disfrutar con todos vosotros. ¿Qué opináis de N&D? Sin duda es la revista más seria y estable del momento, con una amplia gama de información.

Age 32 Relationship with Ibiza I came to Ibiza 5 years ago to learn the language, fell in love with the island and I was to live here. From the first moment I understood that it was the perfect place to live in harmony with music and nature, after a while living in London, New York and Miami.

Where and how did you make your debut as a DJ? I have been producing and playing for over 10 years, although I started at Sushipointibiza where I had my residency as a DJ for two years.

What type of music do you like to play? Who and what inspire you?

I like melodic house with a sexy sound, always accompanied by a heavy bass presence that I like playing, and I like watching people when they let themselves go on the dance floor. Jamie Jones inspires me with his deep and appealing sounds. Davide Squillace because he is tough when he has to be, and both are from Naples like me. They are great producers and DJs. The best moment of this year: One that I remember the most is the most recent at Atzaro Ibiza, the “U WANNA ESCAPE” event, where I had the chance to play with other great DJs and well known contemporary producers, and I received a lot of compliments for my music.

What do you expect from this 2013 season?

It will be full of new opportunities, friends and experiences for the future. I’ll be happy to live everything that comes my way.

Llegué a Ibiza hace 5 años para aprender el idioma, me enamoré de la isla y me he quedado a vivir. Desde el primer momento comprendí que era el lugar

perfecto para vivir en armonía con la música y la naturaleza, después del tiempo que he pasado en Londres, Nueva York y Miami. ¿Dónde y cómo debutaste como DJ? Llevo más de diez años produciendo y pinchando, pero fue en Sushipointibiza donde obtuve mi residencia como DJ durante dos años. ¿Qué tipo de música te gusta pinchar? ¿Quién y qué te inspira?

Me gusta el house melódico dándole un sonido sexy, siempre acompañado de la gran presencia del bajo, que me gusta mucho cuando pincho, y disfruto viendo cuando la gente se desenfrena bailando. Me inspira Jamie Jones, con sus sonidos profundos tan atractivos, y el Davide Squillace duro cuando tiene que serlo. Los dos son de Nápoles como yo, grandes productores y DJ. ¿Cuál ha sido el mejor momento de este año? Del que más me acuerdo, el más reciente, ha sido en Atzaro’ Ibiza, en las actuaciones de U WANNA ESCAPE, donde he tenido la oportunidad de hacer DJ set con otros grandes DJ y productores del momento muy conocidos. He recibido muchas felicitaciones por mi música. ¿Qué esperas de esta temporada 2013?

La veo muy rica en nuevas oportunidades, amistades y experiencias de futuro. Todo lo que venga será un placer vivirlo. ¿Qué opinas de N&D? Es la revista más fresca y conocida de Ibiza, Formentera y Miami, ¡gracias por esta entrevista!

Not only Spanish citizens or mixed couples can file for divorce: foreign spouses with a connection to Spanish law are also entitled to file. Spanish procedural law already provides for this scenario, and has now been reinforced by EU Regulation 2201/2003.

The criterion that allows foreigners to file for divorce is the couple’s permanent residence in Spanish territory.

A couple can also file for divorce if one part resides in Spain or has a job here for longer than just a holiday.

Therefore, through documents that prove the couple live in Spain – through a lease contract or telephone contract, or with a certificate proving a part of the couple has received medical treatment in Spanish territory.

Furthermore, it seems that judges consider 5 or 6 months a pretty reasonable time of residence in Spain before filing for divorce. However, in many cases it really depends on the documentation submitted. If the residence is not sufficiently proven, the court may refuse the application for divorce.

Furthermore, the three years’ maturity for a decree of separation is optional, so you can apply directly for divorce by mutual consent and you’re free again!

El divorcio rápido en España

es una realidad. Se admiten solicitudes de divorcio no sólo de ciudadanos españoles o de parejas mixtas, sino también de dos cónyuges extranjeros que tengan alguna conexión con la ley española.

Esta institución en realidad ya existe en la legislación procesal española, pero ha sido reforzada por el Reglamento CE nº 2201/2003. El criterio que permite a los extranjeros solicitar el divorcio es la residencia permanente de la pareja en territorio español, o incluso si uno de ellos ha optado por tener en España un centro de interés o de vida o de actividad profesional por un período de tiempo que vaya más allá de unas simples vacaciones.

Se pueden presentar documentos que acrediten el domicilio de la pareja en España, como un contrato de alquiler, de teléfono, o también un certificado que demuestre un tratamiento médico por parte de un cónyuge en el territorio español. Además, parece que los jueces consideran que 5 o 6 meses ya sería un tiempo bastante razonable de residencia de los cónyuges en España antes de presentar una solicitud de divorcio, pero en muchos casos realmente depende de la documentación presentada; de hecho, en el caso de que la residencia no se haya probado suficientemente, el tribunal puede rechazar la solicitud de divorcio.

Además, el plazo de tres años de madurez de una sentencia de separación son opcionales, se puede presentar directamente la solicitud de divorcio por consentimiento mutuo y ¡listo! ¡Vuelta a la libertad!

40 years of stories 1973|2013 Ricardo Urgell founded the first Pacha club in the beach town of Sitges in 1967. Six years later, during the hippy movement in 1973, Pacha arrived in Ibiza. Trust law My name is Ailén and I want to tell you a story. A love story about a family, my family. A brief story of how my dreams are coming true.

For seven years I spent summers in Ibiza, until in the winter of 2012 I moved to this magical island, which is a unique and special place.

The island is a meeting place, an energetic point of the world, I think, where real meetings happen every moment. In Ibiza the ends meet. Partylovers, drugs and alcohol, and people who love nature and pure water, people who just want to be with other people and others who just want to be alone. Between these extremes, and with a little awareness, you can glimpse the radical choices that life offers and choose what we want. It always happens that when I receive, I feel the urge to give. And at this point I am indebted not only with life but also with this island. That’s why I want to do my best and share everything I feel.

Wanting to live in harmony with the environment, taking care of Mother Earth, is part of my process of gratitude.

We tend to forget that the Earth is a living being and that is the mother of life, our house, and most important thing we have. Those who remember, once we become part of a group that grows more and more in the World: HUMAN ECOLOGY, those who are feeling the need to protect the environment and restore what has given us all we want to eat healthy, and be more simple and friendly all around us. My father, Alberto Varela, gave me the idea, he created a fantastic concept: Yatiri.

An ecological food restaurant I’ll open this summer in Ibiza and will be the meeting place where together we live unique moments and unique as each of us.

A place that offers healthy, tasty and varied food in a warm, artistic and friendly venue. You could call it an organic restaurant, but it’s much more than that. Yatiri is a delicate area, neutral, where you can share all kinds of ideas and experiences, a place where the motto is to be open to whatever comes, always willing to learn from each other, what each one can contribute to the shift to a new way of life.

––––– Mi nombre es Ailén y quiero contarles una historia. Una historia que habla del amor de una familia: mi familia.

Un breve relato de cómo mis sueños se están haciendo realidad. Durante siete años pasé los veranos en Ibiza, hasta que en invierno del 2012 me trasladé a esta isla mágica, que es un lugar único y especial. La isla es un sitio de reunión, un punto energético del Mundo, creo yo, donde suceden verdaderos encuentros a cada instante. En Ibiza los extremos se unen. Gente amante de las fiestas, las drogas y el alcohol, y también gente que ama la naturaleza y el agua pura; gente que solo quiere estar con otros y otros que solo quieren estar consigo mismos. Entre estos extremos, y con un poco de conciencia, se pueden vislumbrar las opciones radicales que nos ofrece la vida y elegir lo que queremos. En esta isla fantástica las cosas llegan, vienen directamente a nosotros, como si nos hubiéramos convertido en un gran imán. Siempre me pasa que, cuando recibo, me vienen ganas de dar.

Y en este momento me siento en deuda, no solo con la Vida, sino también con esta isla.

Es por eso que quiero dar lo mejor de mí y compartir todo lo que siento.

Querer vivir en armonía con el entorno, cuidando de la

Madre Tierra, es parte de mi proceso de gratitud.

Solemos olvidar que el Planeta es un ser vivo y que es la madre de la Vida, nuestra casa, y lo más importante que tenemos. Quienes lo recordamos, inmediatamente pasamos a formar parte de un grupo que crece cada vez más en el Mundo: LOS HUMANOS ECOLÓGICOS, los que estamos sintiendo la necesidad de cuidar el entorno y devolverle lo que nos ha dado, los que queremos comer sano y ser más sencillos y respetuosos con todo lo que nos rodea. Mi padre, Alberto Varela, me dio la idea, él creó un fantástico concepto: YATIRI. Un restaurante de comida ecológica que abriré este verano en Ibiza y que será el lugar del encuentro, donde juntos podremos vivir momentos irrepetibles y únicos, como cada uno de nosotros. Un sitio que ofrece comida sana, apetitosa y variada, en un ambiente cálido, artístico y acogedor.

Se podría definir como un restaurante ecológico, pero es mucho más que eso. Yatiri es un espacio delicado, neutro, donde poder compartir todo tipo de ideas y experiencias, un lugar donde el lema es estar abiertos a lo que venga, siempre dispuestos a aprender del otro, de lo que cada uno puede aportar para el cambio hacia una nueva forma de vida. Me resulta muy gratificante compartir mi experiencia y espero que te resulte inspiradora para abrirte a todo lo nuevo, sano, sensible y amoroso. ¡Gracias por leer mi historia!

CAN HORSE IBIZA: true love | amor verdadero

Can Horse a non-profit organization whose purpose is to do everything possible to protect horses on the island of Ibiza.

The association’s aim is to provide decent homes for horses who have been abused physically and psychologically, and for their rehabilitation.

In addition, our goal is to act as godparents for rehabilitated horses. We know very little about these highly intelligent animals, and therefore Can Horse organizes seminars to enhance understanding of the nature of horses with a focus on the horse and riding.

The association actively organizes meetings and training courses to allow anyone interested to learn about the equine world from different perspectives, including veterinary and biological views, and it also disseminates anthropological and cultural artistic heritage.

We will organize special horseback riding to enjoy nature and landscape in its maximum expression.

Can Horse is officially based in San Lorenzo, Ibiza, from June 1, 2013. We are looking for partners who want to help our horses!

They need lots of love, dedication and several volunteers willing to treat them.

The promoter of this initiative is Gloria Geseri, who will promote Can Horse throughout the summer with events associated with the “Rewind” party, where donations will be collected. Duo Horse and Alegría are two organizations that Can Horse collaborates and participates with, and they share a common objective: the welfare of the horses.

Seated in the saddle of a horse, one feels free and closer to the sky.

A horse is worth more than all the riches in the world!

Can Horse es una organización sin ánimo de lucro cuya finalidad es hacer frente a todas las formas necesarias de protección de los caballos en la isla de Ibiza. El objetivo de la asociación es ofrecer un lugar de acogida digno para los caballos que han sufrido maltratos físicos y psicológicos, y velar por su rehabilitación. Además, llevará a cabo un programa de apadrinamiento de los caballos rehabilitados. Sabemos muy poco acerca de estos animales tan inteligentes, y es por esta razón que Can Horse organiza seminarios para comprender la naturaleza de los caballos y el vínculo entre el caballo y la equitación.

La asociación organizará reuniones y cursos de formación que permitirán a las personas interesadas​​ conocer el mundo equino desde diferentes perspectivas, tanto veterinarias como biológicas, y realizará actividades para la divulgación de su patrimonio artístico, antropológico y cultural. Organizará paseos especiales a caballo para disfrutar plenamente de la naturaleza e interpretar el paisaje en todas sus formas. Can Horse, con sede en San Lorenzo, Ibiza, celebrará su inauguración oficial el día 1 de junio de 2013. Estamos buscando socios que deseen ayudar a nuestros caballos necesitados. Ellos necesitan mucho amor, dedicación y una gran cantidad de voluntarios dispuestos a cuidarlos.

La promotora de esta iniciativa es Gloria Geseri, que promocionará activamente Can Horse a lo largo del verano a través de varias actividades que tendrán lugar en la fiesta «Rewind», donde se recogerán donaciones destinadas a la asociación. RicardoVillalobos This year, the leading Chilean DJ will host two of the big opening parties. As always, he’ll be at Cocoon Amnesia on Monday, June 10 and as a new addition this year he will be present at Tipic, Formentera on Thursday, June 20. A perfect chance to visit both our beloved islands!

Born in Chile, raised in Germany, a world citizen – that pretty much sums up Ricardo’s life, geographically speaking.

Ricardo was actually an ardent percussionist before he started to use his talent to experiment with electronic music. His instinctive feel for rhythm has always been one of his major characteristics and it shows in his own productions as well as in his choice of records or his ability to make his sets so coherent and homogeneous.

In 1988 he played for the first time in a club, armed with his considerable, wide-ranging record collection.

He made his first productions with the famous Roland syntheziser, but at the beginning of the 90s, Ricardo began to upgrade his equipment and to dedicate himself to acid house and early techno sounds. In 1992 he released his first production on the label Overdrive.

At the same time, Ricardo became quite famous in Darmstadt and Frankfurt for entirely different reasons: he organized illegal parties in empty buildings or under highway bridges. In this environment he first rubbed shoulders with Frankfurt veterans like Ata and Heiko M/S/O or Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke (Alter Ego) from Darmstadt.

After his first trip to Ibiza in 1995, Ricardo adopted the island as a third home. He played at a Cocoon event at Amnesia in 1999 and joined the Cocoon booking agency later that year. Today there isn’t a continent where

Ricardo hasn’t played; his choice of music is trendsetting for other DJs and fans alike, and even though his tracks are never commercial, they are immensely successful and he’s well known even beyond the borders of the underground music scene. A good deal of his productions already attained cult status after the first whitelabels surfaced. Ricardo’s inexhaustible creativity and innovation and his unfailing feel for the crowd make him an outstanding artist in the contemporary world of electronic music.

Su sensibilidad infalible para sentir el ritmo siempre ha sido una de las principales características que se nota en sus producciones, así como en la elección de los discos o la capacidad de hacer sets coherentes y homogéneos.

En 1988 pinchó por primera vez en un club, armado con su considerable y variada colección de discos. Realizó sus primeras producciones con el famoso sintetizador Roland, pero a principios de los años 90 Ricardo comenzó a actualizar

su equipo y a dedicarse al acid house y a los primeros sonidos techno. En 1992 lanzó su primera producción en la casa discográfica Overdrive. Al mismo tiempo, Ricardo se hizo muy famoso en Darmstadt y Frankfurt por otras razones totalmente distintas: organizaba fiestas ilegales en edificios vacíos o en puentes de carreteras. En este ambiente se empezó a codear con los veteranos de Frankfurt como Ata y Heiko M/S/O o Roman Flügel y Jörn Elling Wuttke (Alter Ego) de Darmstadt. Después de su primer viaje a Ibiza en 1995, Ricardo se estableció en la isla como tercera residencia. Pinchó en un evento de Cocoon en Amnesia en 1999 y, más tarde en ese mismo año, se unió a la agencia de reservas Cocoon. Hoy en día no hay un continente en el que Ricardo no haya pinchado, su elección musical marca tendencias entre otros DJ y aficionados, y a pesar de que sus pistas no son comerciales, tienen un enorme éxito y él es conocido incluso más allá de las fronteras de la escena musical underground. Una buena parte de sus producciones ya habían alcanzado el estatus de culto cuando surgieron las primeras etiquetas blancas. La creatividad, la innovación y la infalible sensación que despierta en el público de Ricardo hacen de él un artista destacado en el mundo contemporáneo de la música electrónica.

C.: Y cada vez es más difícil encontrar una mesa en tu restaurante...

D.: Bueno, eso es buena señal, tenemos un buen equipo y nuestros productos son de primera calidad.

C.: And every time I come back it’s more difficult to get a table in your restaurant...

D: Well, that’s a good sign. We have a good team and our products are top quality.

C.: What would you recommend for dinner?

D.: First some pieces of sushi, a Mexican ceviche, if you want fish, Galician oysters, with a little baked fish from Ibiza, or if you like meat, a T-bone steak or roast lamb.

C.: Voy a cenar, ¿qué me recomiendas?

D.: Para empezar unas piezas de sushi, un ceviche mexicano, si te apetece seguir con un pescado, unas ostras gallegas, con un pescadito ibicenco al horno, o si te apetece carne, un buen chuletón de buey o un cuarto de cordero al horno.

Name Nicole Moudaber Where are you originally from?

Born in Nigeria, of Lebanese and British descendants.

Connection with Ibiza I have a house in Ibiza that first brought me to the island. I guess this was the strongest connection and attraction I had with the island. Of course, it’s the music hub of the world and that’s what I live and breathe every day.

What do you think is the secret of your success?

Passion and dedication. I still have lots to do!

This year has begun with some great news: you have launched your own label Mood Records. What kind of works will you release on it? How do you choose the tracks?

Primarily, I will release a lot of my music on there, having finished my album on Drumcode I can dedicate

all my time to MOOD. I’m gathering a list of artists I admire, to remix my music, as well as various different artists who will feature on the label. It will be house and techno and anything in between. Anja Schneider, Rodriguez Jr., Gary Beck, Alan Fitzpatrick, Carlo Lio, Nathan Barato, Stacey Pullen, and many more, are all on board so far. There’s some great music from newcomers as well. Watch out for Berlin based producer Tom Peters.

What are your plans for this summer 2013? Will we see you playing again with Carl Cox at Space Ibiza?

Of course, I am really looking forward to Space Ibiza this summer as well Music On with Carola, the Ushuaia closing and my MOOD

label party at Sands Beach Club, as well as a Drumcode on the beach. But most of all I’m looking forward to tanning myself in Ibiza and enjoying the heat!

You are playing on the main stage at the Monegros festival this summer – is this your first experience of the festival, and what are you looking forward to the most?

It is my first and I’m very happy I got asked to do the main stage.

Firstly, because I’m a huge fan of Underworld and they’re playing with me, and secondly, because I will get to convert more people to techno haha!

Last weekend you played a couple of shows in Spain – how did they go?

Are you back here over the summer months?

It was AMAZING. Fabrik Madrid with Carl Cox – Oh My God – what a night! I loved the club and Malaga too was incredible.

Este año ha empezado con una buena noticia: has lanzado tu propio sello, MOOD Records. ¿Qué tipo de música publicarás? ¿Cómo eliges las pistas?

En primer lugar, voy a sacar gran parte de mi música en él, y cuando habré terminado mi álbum en Drumcode dispondré de todo mi tiempo para centrarme en MOOD. Estoy recopilando una lista de artistas que admiro para remezclar mi música, así como de varios artistas diferentes que publicaré en el sello. Será música house y techno, entre otros. Hasta el momento están Anja Schneider, Rodriguez Jr., Gary Beck, Alan Fitzpatrick, Carlo Lio, Nathan Barato, Stacey Pullen y muchos más. También hay buena música

de artistas que están empezando.

Por supuesto, tengo muchas ganas de volver a Space Ibiza este verano, también a Music On con Carola, al cierre de Ushuaia y a las fiestas de mi sello MOOD al Sands Beach Club, además de una fiesta Drumcode en la playa. ¡Pero sobre todo quiero ponerme morena y disfrutar del calor!

Pincharás en el escenario principal de Monegros este verano, ¿es tu primera experiencia en el festival? ¿Qué es lo que más te emociona?

Es mi primera vez y estoy muy feliz de que me hayan llamado para pinchar en el escenario principal.

Primero, porque soy muy fan de Underworld y ellos tocarán conmigo, y segundo, ¡porque convertiré a más gente al techno!

El pasado fin de semana tocaste un par de veces en España, ¿cómo fue? ¿Volverás durante el verano? ¡Fue INCREÍBLE! Fabrik Madrid con Carl Cox, ¡qué noche! Me encantó el club y Málaga también fue increíble. Volveré el 28 de junio para Music On Ibiza. Adora España en general, saben cómo divertirse.

Ibiza by night: the website of the movida in Ibiza la web de la movida de Ibiza Parties, after-hours, the most exclusive venues: Ibiza by night (www.ibizabynight.net) is the website telling the story of Ibiza after dark.

The project Ibiza by night was born a year ago and has already become a benchmark for the island’s clubbers and that’s not all. We tell the story of Ibiza by night, new music trends, interesting features, and offer yearround news.

In the winter months we have weekly publications: every Tuesday or Wednesday we showcase the schedules for venues on the island. In addition, the site announces the main Ibiza style parties worldwide, with a special focus on DJs and the island’s most popular shows such as Troya, Music On or Supermartxé. In the summer months it’s completely different. From May to October we publish almost every day and news deals with the island, especially the schedules for the most famous clubs like Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege, Space, DC10 and Ushuaia, and generally all the trendy venues in Ibiza.

This summer the site will introduce some significant new content features: from May we will also publish interviews with DJs, promoters and the stars of the Ibiza night.

Furthermore, from this edition onwards we’ll start working alongside N&D Magazine and we have some surprises in store...

But that’s a different story, as you’ll soon see...

Las fiestas, los afters, los actos más exclusivos: Ibiza by night (www.ibizabynight.net) es la web que cuenta lo que sucede en la noche de Ibiza. El proyecto Ibiza by night nació hace un año y ya se ha convertido en un punto de referencia para los clubbers de la isla y otras personas interesadas. Queremos contar qué pasa en la noche ibicenca, las nuevas tendencias musicales, las curiosidades y daremos noticias durante todo el año. En los meses de invierno las publicaciones son semanales: todos los martes o los miércoles presentaremos la programación de los locales de la isla. GiuseppeCipriani What is the secret of the Cipriani brand?

I don’t believe in secrets or magic potions. I believe in mankind, and our ability to work and be passionate. I believe in the importance of serving customers naturally and with love, providing simple meals with real flavours, creating a relaxed and happy environment and making the customer want to come back for a new emotional experience.

How have you managed to export Italian cuisine and service and adapt it to the demands of customers in the restaurants you’ve opened around the world?

We have always tried to be loyal to ourselves, with some small adjustment for differences in local products. I think our customers want to feel at home all around the world.

Cipriani is synonymous with...

You should ask our customers.

For me it is synonymous with work, family, colleagues and many interesting people we’ve met around the world.

We know that your grandfather Giuseppe invented the famous Bellini cocktail. Do you know what inspired him and why he gave it that name?

My grandfather was inspired by a Venetian renaissance painter, Giovanni Bellini, Whom he often mentioned at home, and he particularly admired the colour pink in one of his paintings.

Where are you originally from?

Venice Relationship with Ibiza A love relationship with a great sense of freedom, which is not always present in a love relationship. It is a fantastic island, with many layers and emotions.

After last year’s major success with the Downtown restaurant, in 2013 you’re expanding your presence in Ibiza with a new club, Bomba Ibiza.

We’d like to know more about it...

I’ve always been a “night” person and often I like to see the end of one day and the beginning of a new one. The night is relaxing and stress-free, with the only common goal of having a good time. In general, there is always a happy atmosphere.

Cipriani is not only a symbol of Venice, but over the years it has become a global benchmark for fine cuisine and elegance. Tell us how the Cipriani project was born and how it has grown.

It all started in 1931 in Venice with a small “bar” that my grandfather opened on the ground floor of an abandoned warehouse.

More than 80 years and four generations of work later, this Harry’s Bar has become a national monument in Italy and we’ve opened other restaurants, venues, events, hotels and clubs in many beautiful cities around the world. The project has grown but our philosophy and values ​​remain the same.

Relación con Ibiza.

Es una relación de amor con un gran sentido de libertad, que no siempre se da en el amor. Es una isla fantástica, con muchas capas y emociones.

Después del gran éxito del año pasado con el restaurante Downtown, en 2013 ampliaréis vuestra presencia en Ibiza con un nuevo club, el Bomba Ibiza. Queremos saber más sobre ello...

Siempre he sido una persona nocturna y a menudo me gusta ver el final de un día y el principio de uno nuevo. La noche relaja, no es estresante, solo se comparte el deseo de pasarlo bien. En general se suele respirar un ambiente alegre.

Cipriani no es solo uno de los símbolos de Venecia, sino que con los años se ha convertido en un punto de referencia de la buena cocina y la elegancia en todo

el mundo. Cuéntanos cómo nació el proyecto Cipriani y cómo se ha desarrollado a lo largo del tiempo.

Todo empezó en 1931, en Venecia, con un pequeño “bar” que abrió mi abuelo en la planta baja de un almacén abandonado.

Más de ochenta años después y cuatro generaciones de trabajo, ese Harry’s Bar se ha convertido en un monumento nacional en Italia y hemos abierto otros restaurantes, espacios, hoteles y clubes en numerosas ciudades con encanto de todo el mundo.

Los proyectos han aumentado, pero la filosofía y los valores siguen iguales. ¿Cuál es el secreto de la marca Cipriani?

No creo en los secretos o en las pociones mágicas. Creo en el hombre, en su trabajo y en su gran pasión. Creo en la importancia de atender a los clientes con amor y naturalidad, ofrecer comida sencilla pero con sabores auténticos, crear un ambiente relajado, alegre, y hacer que el cliente se quede con ganas de volver para vivir emociones nuevas. ¿Cómo habéis conseguido exportar la cocina y el servicio italianos y adaptarlo a las exigencias de los clientes en los restaurantes que habéis abierto en todo el mundo?

Siempre hemos intentado ser fieles a nosotros mismos, con alguna pequeña adaptación por las diferencias en los productos locales.

Creo que nuestros clientes quieren sentirse como en casa en cualquier parte del mundo.

Cipriani es sinónimo de...

Se lo preguntaría a nuestros clientes. Para mí es sinónimo de trabajo, familia, colaboradores y muchas personas interesadas que hemos conocido en todo el mundo.

Sabemos que el famoso cóctel Bellini es una creación de tu abuelo Giuseppe. ¿Sabes en qué se inspiró y por qué le dio ese nombre?

Mi abuelo se inspiró en un pintor veneciano del 400, Giovanni Bellini, del que hablaba a menudo en casa y, en especial, en el color rosa de una de sus pinturas que mi abuelo admiraba mucho.

Zumo de melocotones blancos junto con prosecco completó la obra.

La marca Cipriani está en continua expansión. ¿Cómo te imaginas la empresa en diez años?

Espero que con todos nosotros, con buena salud, trabajando con la misma sonrisa y la misma pasión puesta en proyectos nuevos muy interesantes.
