Hellfire Beer Label Design

Page 1

I began by drawing up some flames and then live tracing them and arranged them into this pattern. I want the design to be quite slick, to get interest from young people who are interested in trends and fashion.

The Choice of colour is warm because of the name and the nature of the drink. I avoided bright typical fire colours as they can be quite garish.

For the type face I needed something bold to stand out from the pattern and something simple against the background.

Development

I decided to edit my use of colour because it seemed a bit overwhelming and almost old-fashioned which is the opposite of what I was trying to achieve. This simpler text and white space works much better.

Above is the original bottle design. The colours are slightly garish and the illustration at the bottom a bit tacky.

This design is quirky and I think would stand out to the younger generation. I think it is effective how the cut out aspect makes use of the colour of the beer bottle, I want to incorporate this into my design.
