OBJECT DESIGN | A BOTTKE PACK 2011 | 4TH semester | FAUUSP
The bottle pack project consists in developing a package for a specific bottle using simply a
A1
piece of paper, that should be structured
and hold the bottle only by its folds.
The developed shape covers and protects the bottle, but give a hint of what is inside. The unpacking (and repacking) intends to be an exciting contra clockwise movement, that reveals at once the bottle kept inside, without it having to be remove from a “inside of a box.

GEOMETRIC SCULPTURE | LAND ART 2014 | 10th semester | FAUUSP
In
contrast
with
the
organic
sculpture project, the geometric one was designed for being the less interfiring in the location where it would be placed, and it is planned for suiting any open space
(although it can also be placed indoor). The main intention is to the sculp-
ture to be used in any form as well.
The
leaning plan offers a
surface to be sitting on, lay, or climbed.
And
its sidewalls offer a
great backboard.
More
than just discussing aes-
thetic, the sculpture projects try
to discuss the space, the forms of interacting to them and even using them.
I
believe that elements
can lead big influences in a room/ space, and that is what
I
search
for with the two sculptures.

ORGANIC SCULTURE 2014 | 10TH semester | FAUUSP
The
main objective of this organic
sculpture is to be more than a piece of art, but also furniture.
For this
reason the place for it was chosen first than its shape.
As
a site-spe-
cific the form, dimensions and the material were chosen.
The location is a building in the SĂŁo Paulo University that hosts the Centre for Brazilian Culture and its library. And although the architecture of the “Brasilianaâ€? building is really impressive, its wide spans and intensity of concrete, glass and metal creates a big void in the central area of this building.
Therefore
the organic sculpture
was created in order to contrast the straight lines of the perspective; to place a material that is as-
sociated with warm atmospheres; and to be used as a furniture (such
as a bench, a playground or simply a meeting point); that would con-
tribute to reverse the emptiness of this majestic scales, pretty common for the brazilian architecture
modernism, and bring more life, in-
vite people to stay longer, serve as a meeting spot and to reverse the
originals shapes of the building, without being aggressive to it.

OBJECT DESIGN | LAUNDRY SINK FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS 2012 | 5th semester | FAUUSP GROUP WORK: Beatriz Lorenzi + Marina Diez
This
object design was developed for a spe-
cific case: by the time it was raining a lot in
Brazil,
and some countryside cities flooded
and the population had to be removed from their houses and they were living in improvised camps.
This
laundry sink is then developed to
be a solution for hygine in such an emergen-
cial situation. It is a way of washing clothes, or even food, more independently from the wa-
ter reservoir. It is also pretty easy to move, push and pull the wagon, since the wheels
are big enough, suitable for any kind of path.

ARCHITECTURE + INDUSTRY | TEMPORARY FOOD KIOSK 2012 | 5TH semester | FAUUSP GROUP WORK: Marina Pizzotti + Marina Diez
Developed
to be a temporary food kiosk, with a functional plan and
easy to be built. It is an open but sheltered room, planned to be placed where there is a lack of food services due to the isolation parks, squares, stadiums, and other open spaces.
To
- such as
avoid being a
closed space placed in an open area, the walls were projected to be
in its majority windows that can be fully open, enlarging the space, and connecting it to the location.
The chosen material is based on the project concept of functionality, lightness and transparency. It consists in Polycarbonate modules, wrapped by an alluminium frame that brings each module stiffness and make the joints between each one, possible.
As
well as enabling a connected space with the out-
side, the fenestration can also be closed due to a bad weather, the
roof top prologued for more shelter, and even locked, by the end of each working day.

SOCIAL HOUSING | “URBAN VOID” 2012 | 6th semester | FAUUSP
Based on the purpose of choosing an empty space (or a not entirely solidificated construction), this social housing project was alligned with 2 other students projects in order to propose not only the communication between the 3 buildings, but also propose this important (and not existing) pedestrian conection through the center of São Paulo. This conection crosses the important commercial zone in the center of the city, starting in a higher path at the Santa Ifigênia quarter, place for eletronic devices, crossing safely the big highway, Avenida Prestes Maia, leading to also high-level street for utensils sales, Rua Florêncio de Abreu, and ending in the lower level at the popular fashion street Rua 25 de Março. The social housing block that is beeing shown is composed by 2 different vertical modules: the first one with 9 floors, 2 flats of 60m2 each floor (one with a north orientation, and the second, east-west orientation); the second block presents 12 floors, composed with 5 flats (north orientation), 2x 90m2 - 2x 75m2 - 1x 50m2. The groung floor is for the public and commercial use, including a 2 floors gallery. And the rooftop is a leisure area for the residents, with a garden, sports court and playground.

PUBLIC BUILDING | STADTARCHIV SIEGEN 2013 | Universität Siegen GROUP WORK: Antje Karsten + Marina Diez
A public building for the city’s historical archive in Siegen, Germany. Located at the higher part of the city, over the mountains, close to the city center’s heart (the Krönchen church), and other public buildings. The plan is at an inclinated terrain, 12m from the lower crossing street to the upper crossing street. And for this, a beautiful view for the lower city’s landscape and it’s beautiful sorrounding nature. The main concept is based in turning the archive in a major cultural facility. An open and inviting space: at the upper street level, a public square for the good weather days with this impressing landscape view; one level lower, a public library, and a restaurant; the second lowest level is destinated to the workers buros, and the archives; following the ramps, vertical circulation, the visitor is going to be led to the café, in the central position, after this, to the exhibition area, and the most important, to the lower street. The building is concepted by galleries, and the ramps that conncets the two marging streets. Its facade is considerably trasparent due to the landscape view, and the natural lightning (once its facade is oriented to the northeast, with no direct sunlight during the activities).

URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE | LOCAL HARBOUR 2011 | 3th semester | FAUUSP GROUP WORK: Beatriz Lorenzi + Diana Nunes + Gustavo Oliveira + Marina Diez + Vitor Endo
An infrastructure building for the favela called “Cantinho do Céu” (heaven’s corner), close to the Billings dam, in the city of São Paulo. It consists in a simple idea, for this simple area: a public square with a panorama view at the rooftop/street level - offering such a leisure area even for those who won’t necessarilly go to the harbour; 4 meters below, the same idea of a public square persists, but sheltered, and surrounded by facilities such as restrooms, a café and the connection to the harbour. The harbourage is developed to offer the connection between the neighborhoods that surrounds the Billings dam by a pedestrian ferryboat. Leisure and sports were aswell assumed as activities of great importance, and planned to be included in the harbour’s main activities. Therefore kayaks, paddleboats, canoes, and others can be loaned.
