FALL
OVERVIEW BY, CAITLIN SIA AND ADRIANA CHIGO
The District Board hosted its largest gathering of the service year, Fall Rally! Each year we host it in Six Flags Great Adventure on Columbus Day weekend so Key Clubbers can experience the event without any hassle.
This year our theme was Into the Jungle of
Service,
and
it
brought
2,000
Key
Clubbers
from
around the state dressed up as their divisional animal. Some of our guest speakers included our International Trustee
Riley
Feng
from
Wisconsin,
our
International
Vice President Kaitlin Cirillo from our very own District, Circle
K
Governor
Taylor
McKay,
Kiwanis
Governor
Gordon Meth, and past Lieutenant Governor & Keynote speaker Kristen Fischer.
Each of our guest speaker
brought us wise words for our future leaders in the stands, and definitely made an impact on someone’s life.
Additionally, we had Key Clubbers from different
divisions discuss about their experiences in our District Events like Key Leader, DCON, and their involvement in our District Project Hunger in New Jersey.
Fall Rally
2019 was a huge success and we can’t wait to see what Fall Rally 2020 was in store for the District!

Key Players Key Clubbers and members of the K-Family are constantly giving back to others. The New Jersey District Board have all chosen individuals who they feel are remarkable in their character, leadership, inclusiveness, and care for others: the four core values of Key Club. Read about the Key Players of The Jersey Key, Issue 3, below.
Lydia Braasch, Bordentown, Editor

it can be, and I can’t wait to see what she and the other officers accomplish this year!
Larry Menegus and Oliver Van Dine, Warren County Technical School, President and Webmaster I first met Larry and Oliver over the summer at a divisional event. They are always super fun to be around and they have shown that they exemplify what it means to be student leaders-- always being there to support others, leading by example, and encouraging solidarity. They are some of the most dedicated people I know and I am glad to be friends with them and have them as officers in my home division!
Amber Downs and Kate Zavuholnik, West Deptford High School, Co-President and Co-Secretary These two officers are absolutely amazing and are extremely hard working! They dedicate so much time and effort to Key Club and changing our community for the better. I am proud to say that they are part of my division and they will definitely be great, caring leaders in the future! Amber Downs and Kate Zavuholnik
Caroline Maloney , Bridgewater Key Club, Treasurer She has been doing a great job with her duties so far this year. She has shown amazing dedication collecting dues, making sure the members are reported correctly, and serving on the board overall. Keep up the great work Caroline!
Caroline Maloney
Anne Vrubliauskas, Middlesex Key Club, Editor she has been doing a fantastic job at her duties so far this year. She keeps up with communication, fundraising, and district events, and has been to every DCM so far this year. Great job Anne!
Ms. Gayle Mount, Brick Township, Advisor She is a spectacular advisor who has done so much for her club. On top of being the best soccer mom out there, she is an amazing

advisor who is so dedicated to her club and she has turned her club around since joining the club!
Alyssa Cohen, MAST, General Member For the past two years of knowing Alyssa, I’ve learned she is the first one to volunteer herself and works hard to participate in service projects. She helps tutor students at her local library and whenever MAST hosts a drive for anything, I’ll see her walk in the next day with a bag full of goods. From batteries for Puerto Rico to food for the National Park Service, Alyssa never fails to pull through. In an interview with her, she told my “There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” by John Holmes. This

exemplifies Key Club and what we stand for. Keep up the great work Alyssa!
Carlee Dunn, MAST, President She has worked diligently and consistently to strengthen MAST’s Key Club. She is truly a leader through example by attending a number of service projects. To name a few Carlee has attended DCON, she helped plant flags at a local ceremony in honor of veterans on Memorial Day, she helps cook food for patients at the Mercy Center, she helps package food at the Fulfil Center and she helped organize MAST’s Walk for Water. When interviewing Miss Dunn and asking for advice she responded with, “I think the thing that’s really stood out to me about Key Club is that it’s a great way to meet really great people if your put yourself out there. It’s also shown me that you should define yourself based on what you can do and give back to the world around you. Nothing matters as much as how much you can help people and how often you make the decision to do so.” Thank you Carlee for your extreme dedication to this organization!

Maria Espitia, Dover Key Club, General Member Maria has shown dedication towards Key Club and in her community by organizing a nursing service event for her club. Because of her idea, Dover Key Club was able to donate many homemade cards for the elderly just in time for Christmas. Each card was given lots of thought and carefully designed in order to put a smile on someone’s face. Dover officers Nayeli, Abrahm and Kassandra nominated her for the general member shoutout. Congratulations Maria!
Darci Garrity, Kingsway Regional, President Darci is such a wonderful president and is always on top of everything for our club. She is extremely diligent in leading our school key club and always participates in our events!
