ANDRE’S ADVANCE Division 1 of the New Jersey District of Key Club International

Absegami | Atlantic City | Cedar Creek | Egg Harbor Township Lower Cape May Regional | Mainland Regional | Middle Township | Ocean City | Pleasantville

another excellent year

of service

A Message from Your Lieutenant Governor Hi, Division 1! I joined Key Club during my freshman year because it was the first year that I went to public school, and I wanted to meet new people. I used to go to Catholic school, so even though I knew a good number of people in the Egg Harbor Township School District, I knew there were more people to meet, and I knew that the EHT Key Club was large and would help me meet a lot of those people. I also wanted to get involved in my community, so it made sense to join the largest student-led service organization in the world. Through Key Club, I’ve met people who’ve become my friends and support system, I’ve met many great leaders who have inspired me to be a better person, and I’ve served my community through various service projects that have made me feel like I can actually help others.

All these things have made me want to get more involved in Key Club. My sophomore year I became a committee chair in my club and helped organize one of our largest fundraisers. Earlier this year I served as my club’s editor, and now I want to continue to give back to the club that has given me so much as your lieutenant governor. Last August, our original 20102011 Division 1 lieutenant governor resigned, so the NJ District Board decided to appoint me to fill in for the rest of the service year which ends in April at District Convention. I am excited to work with all of you towards a great service year! If you have any questions, feel free to email me or call me. I’m here to help you in any way that I can. Yours in Caring and Service, Andre

The spirit stick this year was a Guitar Hero guitar painted gold, and Division 6 and LTG Chris Godshall took the coveted spirit stick home. October can be a hectic time of year with a lot of Key Club membership registration papers and Fall Rally registration papers. Thanks again to all of the officers and advisors who worked hard to send their clubs to Fall Rally. To hear Division 1’s enthusiasm and cheers was great. 

Dues are important to supporting your club. Key Club International charges $6.50, the NJ District charges $5.50, and your club can charge up to $5.50 for its own expenses. In total, your club should charge between $12 and $17.50.
