Small club has big impact on the North Shore A&W CHARITY
Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? This is the Four-Way Test used by Rotarians world-wide as a standard set of guidelines for ethics. Rotarians consider these questions in all the things they think, say or do as it can be applied to almost any aspect of life. Rotary by definition is an international, secular service club open to business and professional leaders aged 18 and upwards, with no regard to economic status, race, colour, creed, religion, gender, or political preference. It brings together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The Rotary Club is the basic unit of Rotary activity. The formation of one or more additional clubs is often practical in larger areas. Kamloops has three clubs that serve the city. Each of these clubs meets weekly, usually at a mealtime on a weekday in a regular location, where Rotarians can meet and discuss club business. Each club enjoys considerable autonomy within the framework of Rotary International and has unique characteristics. Clubs elect their own president and officers among its active members for a one-year term. The governing body of the club is the club board, consisting of the club president, who serves as the board chairman, a presidentelect, club secretary, club treasurer, and several club board directors. Rotary Club of Kamloops North was established in 1954. Currently the members meet
