Walking into the new location of Bar Louie Granger was breathtaking! Talk about a perfect location for you to have your bridal shower, bachelorette and bachelor parties and even your wedding reception! The first level is the restaurant, second level is for events, and the third level has rooftop seating and an enclosed bar. The dĂŠcor is modern yet trendy!
for photos and even the small dĂŠcor pieces were all provided and designed by Merry Me! We absolutely loved the pale yellow, turquoise and grey color palette that they created.
Walking up to the second floor of Bar Louie, we were blown away by how beautifully decorated it was by Merry Me Events. Everything from the fresh floral, lounge area, tablescapes, backdrops
Burns Special Events provided the farm table, ghost chairs, the wood and metal chairs and the chargers, glassware and flatware for the tablescapes.
The lounge area looked like it came straight out of a magazine! It is a perfect spot for your guests to sit and enjoy some cocktails and mingle.

The stationery was also created by Merry Me Events! Simple and crisp stationery is so refreshing! Bar Louie made two scrumptious meals for you and your guests to enjoy! They made Garlic Butter Shrimp which included shrimp, cherry tomatoes, garlic, white wine, herb butter and toasted sourdough. They also made Voodoo Pasta which includes jumbo shrimp, andouille sausage, cavatappi pasta, red & green bell peppers and house-made spicy voodoo sauce. Our mouths were watering just looking at the plates! 28

The V-neck gown showcases the jewelry of your choice and the beautifully made long train will take everyone's breath away! Merry Me did an outstanding job with their beautifully unique floral arrangements for this shoot! They used Oncidium Orchids, Dahlias, Yarrow, Black-Eyed Susan, Ranunculus, Craspedia, Garden Roses, Cockscomb, Lysimachia, Helenium, Anemone, Copper Beech Foliage and Olive Branches.

Anna’s makeup was done by Ashley Troxel Professional Make-Up Artist. We loved how simple yet dramatic the smoky dusty rose eyes looked against Anna’s skin tone! Her hair done, by Hair By Kayse, looked amazing! The modest low braided bun with lose curls in the front gave an effortless look to Anna’s attire!

Describe your wedding vision My mom and sister Katie know me very well, and I can definitely say that our wedding wouldn’t have turned out as beautiful as it was without their abundance of help! I can’t say I had a specific vision in mind other than having as many family and friends there to celebrate with us. I was very happy that my grandma was able to come in the middle of a pandemic. It meant so much to me that she was there. Our photographer made a point that if anyone had questions during the day that they should ask her, not the bride, because I don’t need to worry about the details then. I appreciated this because being in the moment and focusing on our family and friends was important to me. I’ve always loved sparkles, so I made sure my dress had as many sparkles as possible. I’ll admit I know nothing about flowers. I knew I wanted different shades of pink with a gold accent to match the color scheme of everything else, and our florist did amazing with me just telling her that! Describe your wedding day Our wedding day was simply beautiful! From the flowers, to the 4-tiered cake, the chandeliers at The Armory, our hair and makeup, St. Matthew’s Cathedral, and to my beautiful bridesmaids (Katie, Sarah, Tess, Cecily, Ashley, and Sara) and handsome groomsmen (Tony, Jacob, Robert, Brian, Tyler, and Ben) - everything turned out so beautifully! Our photographer really stepped up and was more than just a photographer. She was almost like a wedding coordinator too. She helped us so much with the timeline for the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. When I walked down the aisle with my dad at the ceremony, looking at Jon and all my family and friends, I sensed the love all around me. The décor at the reception was so beautiful and exactly what I had pictured for my wedding day. The food and cake were 44

delicious. Our DJ was amazing. He played the room instead of just playing songs that people requested, he had people on the dance floor the entire night. He even took our special request and played a happy birthday song for Jon’s groomsman Jacob, for his 30th birthday. Overall, our day was filled with love and memories we will always remember. Your advice to engaged couples Don’t get married during a pandemic…just kidding, but seriously it was somewhat of a roller coaster. I would suggest to definitely try to be flexible. We couldn’t have a bridal shower due to COVID-19, so instead we opened our gifts in front of our families. I also couldn’t have the normal bachelorette party my sister had planned, so instead we had an incredible low-key, winethemed, bachelorette party at my parent’s house that I will always remember. Start your planning early. If you have a long engagement like we did, celebrate your “negative 1” anniversary and enjoy your time being engaged! Buy a wedding countdown board so you can update it and get excited as the days get closer to your wedding day. Buy a wedding planner binder and utilize checklists so you can keep on track and don’t forget anything that needs to be done. If you have the money, definitely invest in a good videographer and photographer. The day goes by very fast, and there are many key moments the bride and/or groom aren’t able to see such as the wedding party walking down the aisle, the grand entrance at the reception, etc. Being able to rewatch and look at pictures of those moments is priceless. If you contract with a DJ, I would advise to get one who is also a MC, as that helps maintain the timeline at the reception. Once your day arrives, go with the flow and rely on all the planning you put forth. Don’t worry so much about everything being perfect; realize what is actually important, all your friends and family being there to celebrate your love for each other!

This shoot has been planned for over a year now from when we talked with Michelle from Unveiled Floral & Events! We knew we wanted to incorporate this beautiful deep emerald green color into the color palette! We loved how Michelle and her team created the tablescape with the outdoor wood table along with that pop the green and white floral centerpiece gave! The flowers used for this shoot were Quicksand, Hydrangea and Tibet Roses. The gold and black dĂŠcor and accents were the perfect touch!

Maddy and Joe were a pleasure to work with! I first met with Maddy's Mom in Demotte because she was away at school. They had a venue booked but that was pre-COVID. Maddy and I met up a few weeks before the wedding to go over details and everything was still in place at her venue. I received a call about 10 days prior to the wedding and Maddy said they were moving the wedding to her grandparents farm in Demotte because the venue was requiring masks. I said I was down for whatever! Let’s have this party! It was a beautiful sunny warm day and boy did we celebrate Maddy and Joe Smoker that day. They got married in a church in Wanatah and then headed to her grandparents farm in Demotte. We did introductions and then had an amazing buffet dinner from Nelson’s BBQ from Wakarusa, Indiana. After that were the first dance and special dances, and then we got the party started. Mark Amelse did an amazing job with the photography. Wandering Mule brought their beverage trailer to serve drinks. Maddy's dress was from Here Comes the Dress in Chesterton and she looked stunning. Spinnin' Productions kept the party going and provided uplighting to make the barn pop! The night ended when Grandpa came out at 12:15 and said shut it down! Congrats to Maddy and Joe Smoker! God bless you two!

July 18th was a bit of a humid day but dang was it gorgeous. We started off at Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso, Indiana and met Megan and her bridal party inside getting ready. Makeup by Keria (Chelsea) was applying airbrush makeup as Tiaras and Veils (Tiara) was beautifully styling the girls' hair. While they're busy getting pampered, my team set out to capture all of the details. My rule is if it looks like they paid for it, photograph it! Haha! Megan & David's wedding was inspired by several things that brought them together. Their bonding over video games (they met at a GameStop), their love of Disney, and of course, Beauty and the Beast. The cake they had from Marilyn's Bakery was unlike anything I have ever seen. Decorated with a lovely landscape, golden details, adorned with roses, and topped with a golden plate featuring the Beauty and the Beast. As the ceremony started, David was anxious to see his beautiful bride. No first look, of course! As Megan rounded the corner, David waited to look until she was all the way at the end of the aisle. His look of loving shock took everyone back within the crowd. With eyes welling up in the joy that his best friend in the entire world was walking towards him, to be married.

Much like every wedding, once the ceremony is over it is time for portraits. The temperature that day wasn't the worst I have ever experienced but it wasn't all that forgiving either. So since it was such a warm day we figured, "Why not walk the entire bridal party next door and go get ourselves a fountain drink!?" Because when you're thinking wedding portraits, I'm sure a gas station comes to mind? ... Well, honestly? ... It worked out way better than expected!". Unique and fun photos not only make for great images but fun moments during and amazing stories later in life. With portraits all done, our bridal party along with our bride and groom, it was time for introductions, speeches, and one of my favorite parts of the night...DANCING! There are moments on a dance floor that happen and sometimes only for an instant (much like the rest of a wedding day). It could be the first dance, laughing with an old friend or an intimate glimpse of the newly married couple soaking it all in as if no one else is there. Megan & David had of all it.
