Focaccia Bread Demonstration (Livestream) Fo-Ca-Ccia! Do you want to master this “showstopper” bread in your kitchen? Follow along live as Chef Les Eckert, Director of Great Lakes Culinary Institute, walks you through the process of creating focaccia. A recipe and list of ingredients and equipment needed will be provided via email prior to class so you have time to gather and measure out what you need to follow along in this class. Pastels at Your Pace (Livestream)
Painting with Acrylics: Autumn Leaves and Colors (Livestream)
For beginning and intermediate pastelists: Join artist Linda Alice Dewey as she shares her 50+ years of pastel painting experience, during six practical, sit-at-the-easel Zoom sessions. Linda leads the group through the process of creating two paintings from photographs she will email to you ahead of time so you can print them out. Learn applied techniques and her own tips and tricks as well as elements of art as you paint local landscapes and seascapes. Following registration the instructor will contact you with a zoom link and an initial preparatory video on materials and set up, to be ready for the first class. Supply list requires you to order pastels and paper online. Some supplies take several weeks to arrive, so order as soon as you register. Each class can also be viewed up to several months later, so no worries if you miss one, or need to start the class later.
The transition from Summer to Autumn in Northern Michigan is both beautiful and inspiring. Capture the beauty and serenity with acrylic paints on an 11 x 14 inch canvas. Artist Eleonora Hayes demonstrates her methods of combining realistic landscapes with the dreamlike emotions they evoke. You will be introduced to the basics of using acrylic paints on canvas, essential color mixing, and how to use different brushes. Taught online via Zoom. Following registration, the instructor will contact you with a zoom link and list of supplies needed for the class.
