PEUGEOT 208 BLACK EDITION LAUNCHED AS THE ONLY THREE-DOOR MODEL Following the clear market demand for more practical five-door variant Peugeot have made the decision to axed all threedoor bodystyles bar one model in the range.
Called the 208 Black Edition three-door, it starts at £14,595 and comes with an energetic and efficient 1.2 Puretech 82 engine that produces 82bhp and offers 62.8mpg combined. It gets a higher-specification infotainment system with Apple Carplay, Bluetooth connectivity and a DAB radio as standard. As if the black edition wasn’t stylish enough, this edition has menthol white personalisation with an equaliser grille with black finisher, gloss black door mirrors with white door mirror accents, front fog lights and fog light finishers. Tinted rear windows add extra style and class to the Black Edition. The Peugeot 208 Black Edition is available in Nera Black, Bianca White and Hurricane Grey – each personalised for that extra kerb appeal: • 16” gloss black alloy wheels with white laser engraving • Equaliser grille with gloss black finisher • Gloss black door mirror shells with colour accents • Front fog lights • Gloss black front fog lamp finishers with laser engraved colour accent • Tinted rear windows

All other versions of the regular 208 – so that excludes the GTI performance models which remain three-door only – are sold with five-door bodystyles. Three trim levels are offered for the five doors, Active, Allure and GT Line, with prices starting at £14,000 for the base car. A Peugeot spokesman said the changes to the range reflected market demand in the UK. “We consistently review our range to ensure that they are current, in line with the market and suit customer needs,” they said. “Therefore we have updated the 208 range from February, including engine changes, new equipment and introducing a new model.”

ELECTRIC PARTNER TEPEE VAN
PEUGEOT IS EXPANDING ITS ELECTRIC VEHICLE RANGE WITH THE LAUNCH OF AN ELECTRIC VERSION OF THE PARTNER TEPEE.
Combining the practicality of the Partner Tepee range with the low running costs and environmental credentials of an electric vehicle, the Peugeot Partner Tepee Electric boasts an impressive certified range of over 100 miles. With zero emissions, the Partner Tepee Electric will be able to drive in
regulated-emissions zones and during regulated traffic times, and will also benefit from tax exemption with new VED regulations from 2017. The new Partner Tepee Electric will be launched officially at the Geneva International Motor Show in March and will be available to order later in the year. Connected features include air conditioning and battery charging that can be remotely controlled from a smartphone or tablet. Building on its predecessor’s already impressive practicality, the Peugeot Partner Tepee Electric 4
offers the option to remove the three seats in the middle row to create a completely flat load area. Luggage capacity remains among the best in its category, meaning transportation of large objects is simple, thanks to 1,350 litres of boot space with five passengers aboard, or 3,000 litres with the rear seats folded. The new Peugeot Partner Tepee Electric also provides worry-free maintenance with the battery under warranty for eight years or 60,000 miles.

ALL-NEW PEUGEOT 5008 SUV
COMING SOON
The all-new Peugeot 5008 will challenge established sevenseater players in the hard-fought SUV class. Sharing architecture with its smaller Peugeot 3008 sister model, the 5008 introduces advanced technology such as Peugeot’s ‘i-Cockpit’ virtual dashboard, which replaces conventional gauges with a display that can be configured to show the information you want.
New Peugeot 5008 design
The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 were both initially revealed at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, with the 3008
going on sale towards the end of 2016. The two cars have striking visual similarities and the 5008 is based on a stretched version of the 3008 platform. This means a longer wheelbase (the distance between the front and rear axles), boosting interior space and allowing that all-important third row of seats. Inside, the driver’s environment is unique with the new generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, which offers occupants a futuristic driving experience that both surprises and delights. While the new system is similar, the analogue dials have been fully replaced by a 12.3-inch digital screen, which can be individually configured and displays information like your speed, fuel level and range to empty, as well as navigation prompts. A second screen sits on top of the dashboard nad provides

touchscreen infotainment, including climate control, media and sat nav reducing the number of buttons needed.
Practicality
Peugeot says the long wheelbase of the 5008 will make it one of the most practical SUVs in its class. As well as seven seats, the second row consists of three separate chairs that can adjust and fold individually or accommodate a child seat. When you don’t need the third-row seats, they stow flat in the boot floor. There’s also an impressive 780 litres of luggage space with five seats in place, which increases to 1,125 litres with all rear seats folded or a huge 1.940 litres up to the roof.
Technology & equipment
• 8” touchscreen infotainment system • Voice control • Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink • Peugeot ‘Grip control’ • Hill-descent control • Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) • Lane-keeping Assistance
Coming Soon
The 5008 is expected to build on the success of the strong-selling 3008 and is set to arrive in late spring or early summer this year. 7

016 FIA European Rallycross Champion and FIA Rookie of the Year Kevin Hansen joins Sebastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen for full FIA World Rallycross Championship campaign. Team Peugeot-Hansen will continue its campaign in the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy with team-mates Sebastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen driving the Peugeot 208 WRX Supercar in 2017. The Swedish-based squad will also enter a third car to compete in all rounds of the World Championship which will be driven by the young Kevin Hansen, last year’s FIA European Rallycross Champion.
Last year, Team Peugeot-Hansen – with 14-time European Rallycross Champion Kenneth Hansen as its Team Principal – finished runner-up in the Teams’ Championship. The squad also racked up two victories with Timmy Hansen winning Canada RX and nine-time WRC Champion Loeb triumphing at the inaugural World RX of Latvia.
BRUNO FAMIN, DIRECTOR AT PEUGEOT SPORT
“We won the teams’ title in 2015 and were runners-up in 2016, so the aim is to take things a step further this time by targeting both the Teams’ and Drivers’ crowns. To achieve that, we know we can count on the services of two battle-hardened drivers since Sebastien Loeb, who will once again be teaming up with Timmy Hansen, now has a complete season’s experience under his belt. That said we know very that the level of the World 8

Championship is improving all the time. We are pleased to see that Audi and Volkswagen have joined Ford and Peugeot by backing strong teams. It’s going to be a quality season. We are continuing our association with Hansen Motorsport as Team Peugeot Hansen. Peugeot Sport is responsible for the cars’ development, while Hansen Motorsport will run them in the championship.”
KEVIN HANSEN (DRIVER, PEUGEOT 208 WRX #71)
Last year’s FIA Rookie of the Year Kevin Hansen, commented: “I’m very happy to be a fully-fledged World Rallycross driver at last. It’s been a long winter getting to this point after my Euro RX gold in 2016 and it feels amazing to have signed for a World RX campaign with Team Peugeot-Hansen. Personally, for 2017, I would like to find the feeling I had last year behind the wheel of the car and then build on that. I will do my very best amongst the sport’s elite.”
SÉBASTIEN LOEB (DRIVER, PEUGEOT 208 WRX #9)
“I believe I learnt a great deal in the course of my first full rallycross season. I’ve obviously set my sights higher this time round and I hope this year’s version of the Peugeot 208 WRX Supercar will enable us to challenge for victory. Given the stiffer competition we face, it won’t be easy but I am determined to add to my record in this discipline.”
The first round of the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (1-2 April). CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL REPORT
TIMMY HANSEN (DRIVER, PEUGEOT 208 WRX #21)
“I can’t wait for the season to start! The engineers did a great job over the winter and the Peugeot 208 WRX Supercar has taken a big step forward. I’m really looking forward to driving it competitively. We’ve got some new teams joining the championship this year and I’m glad to see that there will now be four manufacturer-backed entries. I hope there will be plenty of great racing in 2017 and that you will often see us on the top step of the podium.”
