Sandringham launch Pop-up Book Hut Sandringham Primary School were chosen to receive a ‘pop-up book hut’ from the Children’s Book Project. The Children’s Book Project’s objective is to give every child the pleasure of choosing and owning their own books. Eight huts, containing hundreds of books, will rotate around a different primary school every half term. The books have been collected from families that have outgrown their own. Pupils at Sandringham Primary School had the pleasure of choosing their own books from the pop-up huts during the launch on Wednesday, 7 November 2018. Pupils sat inside the school’s red bus to read their chosen books, making Sandringham an ideal setting for the launch. “We are so excited to be part of the London Children’s Book Project. The books that have been gifted to us will provide our children with the opportunity to browse and select their own book to take home and enjoy with their family. Launching the Book Hut has generated lots of excitement amongst the children and created a

real buzz for reading.” - Mrs Louise Bridge, Deputy Head Teacher The event attracted media attention, with London Live covering the launch. You can watch the video coverage of the launch here.
