Overview
Are you a Secondary Teaching Assistant looking to improve your maths subject and pedagogical knowledge? Join our FREE Work Group today. We work with the NCETM and are funded by the Department for Education.
·Aims to enhance subject and pedagogical knowledge for TAs in secondary maths.
·Focus on mathematical language, representations, and reasoning in key topics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratio, and fractions.
·Includes follow-up tasks for classroom practice.
·Duration: equivalent of four days; attendance at all sessions required.

·Foster positive student attitudes towards maths.
·Use mathematical language and representations confidently.
·Adapt resources to meet student needs.
·Understand the connection between algebra and number generalisation.
