Let’s Plant a Forest The Education Space
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, The Education Space is proud to announce our partnership with Just One Tree. Just One Tree is a non-profit initiative removing C02 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. They make it simple for everyone to contribute to collective action on the climate crisis. Just One Tree donates to established reforestation partners who concentrate their planting in
areas severely affected by mass deforestation. In doing so they have the greatest positive effect on combating global warming whilst simultaneously alleviating extreme poverty within impacted communities through training, education and employment.

In order to support this organisation we are asking all schools and organisations to take part in their nationwide non-uniform day on Friday 22nd November 2019 to mark the start of National Tree Planting Week. Each child brings in a suggested donation of £1 to plant a tree. The non-uniform day will unite children, parents and teachers across the country, demonstrating how an individual’s actions can have a positive impact on the environment. The Education Space is looking to coordinate as many of our schools and partners as possible to try and plant a forest through our donations.
If you would like to take part please contact: letstalk@theeducationspace.co.uk and we will send you an info pack and the details required on how to take part. Each organisation will receive a certificate outlining how many trees they were able to contribute as a result of their donations as well as a copy of the certificate for the total number of trees The Education Space are able to plant as part of our work with Just One Tree for the nationwide non-uniform day to plant a forest, and help to save our planet. Achieving cost effectiveness Become a more cost effective school by achieving better VFM from your purchases. Would you like reassurance that your procurements are compliant and following good practice guidance? Do you need to produce evidence at a moment’s notice showing documentation of a well-run procurement exercise? Are you confident your buying practices cover all stages of the Procurement Lifecycle? If you prefer to manage new procurements and re-tendering exercises yourself, we offer a wide range of training sessions in order to upskill and refresh your staff to give them the confidence to manage this in-house. However, if your workload is heavy and you could benefit from having someone else take the burden from you, we offer a bespoke service where we lead the tender, produce the required documentation and ensure the school’s priorities are met. This service is offered with no upfront fee so you always stay in complete control of your costs. The charge for this full procurement support service is either a small share of any savings you make from the assignment, or an agreed fixed fee. The most valuable element of the service is that you will be working with a trusted partner in The Education Space - a school-owned company that puts the interests of the pupils and the staff we support at the heart of everything we do.
