You can now book places on all available training courses to the end of March. With booking just a few clicks away, you’ll get instant availability information, responses and confirmations. Booking training has never been so easy. Since the system went live at the start of November, we have seen hundreds of bookings filling nearly all of our courses, meaning we have added more dates to meet the demand. So keep an eye out as we will always add more training course dates as required. Historically all of the training we offered was conducted purely face to face however, in these current uncertain times we have moved all training, with the exception of first aid, to remote delivery. This has been met with

surprising enthusiasm and has seen an increase in the numbers of delegates across all of our sessions. In order to better manage the larger groups taking part in our remote training sessions, we are moving platforms from Google Meet to Zoom, so please bear with us as our trainers get to grips with the new platform.
Safety First We have also taken some steps to help ensure the safety of any staff members or delegates attending our first aid sessions at Francis House. y Masks are mandatory in all communal areas unless you are exempt under government guidelines. Once seated in the training room masks can be worn at the discretion of the trainer/delegate. y Reduced delegate numbers to ensure social distancing. y All delegates have their own 3 x 3 metre space to be trained in. y All delegates have their own antibacterial wet wipes and hand sanitiser within their designated training space. y All of the training equipment is cleaned and sanitised daily and first aid resuscitation dummies cleaned and individually wrapped.
Coming soon In the next 4 weeks we will be uploading all training available in 2021, and we will be maintaining a minimum 12 month rolling programme ensuring you are always able to find the training you require and the next available date.
All teams at The Education Space are creating online courses which will be available at very affordable prices, allowing you to roll out mass training to staff in your schools and allowing them to complete it at their leisure. So let us know what training you would like to see and we will work on making it happen.
Save the date On 2nd December 2020 13:30-14:30 we will be running an online webinar to show you how to use and get the most from the Client Portal. Please come along and find out how we can make your life easier. The demo should last no more than 20 minutes, leaving plenty of time for questions. Inset days are always super busy for our training team and many schools are now booking inset sessions up to a year in advance. With limited trainers it is vital that you give us as much notice as possible so that we can fulfil your requirements. We are currently taking bookings for Inset training up to the end of December 2021 so to guarantee your dates, book now.

on the wellbeing of its local community: “Prioritising mental health is what will get us through these trying times, and will positively equip us for the future. Our community must pull together, and Ranelagh has had an incredibly important role in this. I would like to extend a huge thank you to our community for their bravery, resilience and hope. It’s fantastic that we have all been recognised for our dedication to supporting the mental health of our students, staff, and local community.” Ranelagh’s Assistant Head Teacher - Safeguarding & Inclusion, Sehnaj Patel, who was paramount to creating this culture of wellbeing within the school said: “Prioritising mental health allows people to feel that they can ’be the best that they can be’. It’s so important, in these times, to know that we are part of a community that cares for the mental wellbeing of all. Knowing this makes us stronger.” The award was established in 2017 by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for
Mental Health in Schools – part of Leeds Beckett University – and social enterprise Minds Ahead. The Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools aims to strengthen pupils’ mental health by supporting schools to make a positive change at all levels of the UK’s education system, improving students’ outcomes and life chances. Professor Damien Page, Dean of Leeds Beckett’s Carnegie School of Education, said: “Achieving this award is not just recognition of a wholeschool approach to mental health, it’s a recognition of the school’s commitment to improving the life chances of children.
ISSUE 40 - PREPARING CHILDREN FOR A WORLD THAT DOESN’T YET EXIST
“We’re truly proud to have worked with Ranelagh Primary School in this vital work and look forward to further collaboration.” Nationally, more than 800 schools have signed up to take part in the mental health award. Dean Johnstone, founder and CEO of Minds Ahead said: “This award shines a light on the excellent work schools are doing to promote mental health for their community of children and adults. “It is thrilling and humbling to learn about Ranelagh Primary and the many other schools engaged in the quality award process. I’d like to offer my congratulations on this deserved recognition.”

solid culture of wellbeing among pupils and staff has not gone unnoticed. Comprised of four key strands, Academic, Communication, Health (physical and emotional), and Culture, Curriculum K is both ‘how and what’ Kensington Primary teaches. Ben Levinson shared his joy of receiving this award, and said:
“There isn’t an award I’d be prouder to win at this time. A place everyone loves to be is a place Kensington Primary’s where people work brand new ‘Curriculum hard, succeed, and are K’ is tailored to support happy. That is what we the specific opportunities have strived to create.

From our trailblazing Curriculum K tailored for our children and the 21st century, to our focus on staff and community wellbeing, health is at the heart of Kensington Primary School. Being recognised for this has put a spring in everyone’s step, at an incredibly challenging time.” This award is incredible recognition of the work being undertaken at Kensington Primary, and is testament to their ethos: ‘A place everyone loves to be’.
