Who can take part?
Teachers with at least 2 years' A Level teaching experience and ideally a current KS5 Coordinator/HOD (or an aspiring lead)
What is involved?
3 Full days of Face to Face group sessions (mid-November, end of January and mid-March) with intercessional tasks inbetween in the classroom to undertake and review.
What will you learn?
You will discover pedagogies that could be employed to engage the student as an active participant in your A Level classroom, with a focus on Teaching the Problem-solving style questions in the Pure Paper. You will have the opportunity to collaboratively plan a lesson with colleagues in a similar position to yourself and to try out new teaching methods in the classroom to help the students understand topics to a greater depth.

Experienced teachers of A-Level Maths, preferably Heads of Department or Key Stage 5 coordinators
What is involved?
The Work Group comprises 2 half-day whole group sessions and the equivalent of 2 full days of school-based observations, in sub groups. You will be required to deliver a lesson for other colleagues in your group to observe, and similarly you will have the opportunity to observe other teachers in their settings.
What will you learn?
Through discussion, collaboration and observation, you will determine effective teaching approaches and resources which promote active thinking and understanding by the student. You will ideally share effective pedagogies with other A Level teachers in your team.

• provide advice to the governing board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters (governing boards are required to have regard to advice from the clerk in regard to exercising their functions)

St James’ C of E Junior School are seeking to appoint a hardworking, reliable and conscientious Site Supervisor to join our team. Previous experience in a school environment is essential. The overall aim of the School Caretaker role is to ensure that the internal and external school facilities are available, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.

About the Role
