EVENTOS RELACIONADOS Además del gran día, hay otras festividades que deben considerar: DESPEDIDA DE SOLTERO En ella, cada parte de la pareja se reúne con sus amistades para decirle adiós a su soltería. Las opciones para celebrar son muy variadas. Desde una cena en algún restaurante de moda hasta una reunión en algún departamento que incluya la participación de un stripper. Entre algunos ofrecimientos más novedosos se encuentran una clase de cocina, un día de spa o quizás irse de excursión por distintos puntos de la isla. Por lo regular son los padrinos quienes organizan. CENA DE ENSAYO Se efectúa inmediatamente después del ensayo previo a la boda. Es una reunión en la que la pareja agradece a su séquito su participación en tan importante momento. Por lo regular se lleva a cabo en algún restaurante; sin embargo pueden ser tan creativos como su presupuesto se lo permita. Aquí, además del séquito se invitan a quienes han venido del exterior para el evento. Los padres de los contrayentes suelen ser los anfitriones. BRUNCH EL DÍA DESPUÉS DE LA BODA Para este el grupo de invitados es más reducido, pues se invita al séquito y a los amigos o parientes del extranjero. El ambiente es mucho más casual porque suele realizarse a media mañana y en alguna localidad al aire libre o con una vista espectacular.

Es por ello que deben ser muy cautelosos al momento de seleccionar las invitaciones. • Establezcan un presupuesto realista para esta partida. • El arte y los elementos que elijan debe ser un reflejo de sus personalidades y del ambiente que anhelan proyectar ese día. Peor ejemplo, si desean un evento formal, la invitación debe ser clásica. En caso de que prefieran algo más moderno, pueden optar por una caricatura o algún diseño más minimalista. • Además de la invitación, hay otras piezas que deben guardar relación. Tal es el caso de la tarjeta para separar la fecha, el menú, las de acomodo de los invitados y las de agradecimiento. • La tendencia señala el uso de otros materiales para imprimirlas. Por ello es común verlas en papel de semillas, acrílico y madera.

DON’T FORGET THE DOCUMENTS AND THE MEDICAL TESTS
Antes de darse el sí es mandatorio completar unos documentos y realizarse unas pruebas médicas que tienen días específicos para efectuarse y ser válidas. Lo primero es ir a la Oficina del Registro Demográfico del Departamento de Salud para obtener el formulario “Solicitud de Licencia para Contraer Matrimonio”, que viene acompañado por una certificación médica y un formulario de datos sobre los contrayentes. Lo próximo es visitar a su médico, quien completará el documento y los enviará realizarse pruebas de laboratorio para determinar la existencia de enfermedades de transmisión sexual, gonorrea y clamidia. Cuando tengan los resultados deben regresar al médico para que los valide y una al formulario. Los resultados son vigentes por diez días. El siguiente paso es regresar a la Oficina del Registro Demográfico para llevar los formularios, las pruebas y otra serie de documentos, además de los sellos para completar el proceso y recibir la licencia para poder contraer nupcias. En casos específicos se pide documentación adicional.

ESTE CONTRATO ESTABLECE UNOS ACUERDOS ECONÓMICOS Y NO ECONÓMICOS QUE BUSCA PROTEGER A FUTURO LOS BIENES DE LOS ESPOSOS. AN IMPORTANT TOPIC THAT THE COUPLE SHOULD TALK ABOUT IS THE REALIZATION OF MARRIAGE CAPITULATIONS.THIS CONTRACT ESTABLISHES ECONOMIC AND NON-ECONOMIC AGREEMENTS THAT SEEK TO PROTECT THE COUPLE’S ASSETS IN THE FUTURE.

o ideal es realizarlas antes del matrimonio, pero desde el 2018 la Ley 62 del Código Civil de Puerto Rico permite que los casados constituyan o modifiquen las capitulaciones. “Estas son una escritura pública que se hacen ante un notario que tiene la intención de establecer el régimen económico durante el matrimonio, ya que en caso no haberlas regirá la Sociedad Legal de Bienes Gananciales. Esta es como una canasta en la participan por igual los ingresos, dividendos, ganancias, deudas y obligaciones de los dos y puede ser demandable; mientras que las capitulaciones son una total separación de bienes”, especifica la abogada notario Miraisy Molina Ruíz. Este tipo de documento legal generalmente se piensa como una alternativa para parejas con caudales económicos, con hijos previos al matrimonio y otros casos en los que haya diferencia en la cantidad de bienes. No obstante, la letrada asegura a NUPCIAL que toda pareja debería firmar las capitulaciones matrimoniales. “Todos debemos hacerlas. Unas capitulaciones por total separación de bienes gananciales aseguran en caso de demanda que el otro miembro de la pareja no sea demandado. La mayoría de las parejas con hijos menores de relaciones anteriores lo hace para evitar que el ingreso del nuevo cónyuge se contabilice para establecer la pensión alimentaria”, detalla.

Conversación necesaria Los temas legales, en específico este de las capitulaciones, en ocasiones pueden levantar algo de incomodidad. Sin embargo, hay que hablarlos desde que se establece el compromiso. “Es imprescindible que conversen sobre el tema y más aún con un abogado notario porque existe mucha desinformación. Todavía hay quienes piensan que son para proteger lo que había antes del matrimonio, y realmente es para salvaguardar lo viene después de casados. Lo anterior siempre será un bien privativo”, aclara. Aunque la nueva ley permite realizar capitulaciones posterior al matrimonio, Molina Ruíz recomienda que siempre se firmen antes de casarse. “Cuando se hacen después de la boda implica que en algún momento la Sociedad Legal de Bienes Gananciales existió, por lo que hay que liquidarla y luego capitular. Es un proceso más complicado”. Deben saber que las capitulaciones se pueden hacer en cualquier momento antes del casamiento, pero estas no rendirán efecto hasta oficiado el matrimonio. El documento se puede firmar hasta el mismo día de la boda, pero para el papeleo, mínimo se debe gestionar un mes antes. “La pareja tiene que hablar con el notario y aclarar cualquier duda para que al momento de firmar esté completamente segura y convencida de que eso es lo que quiere”.

Puntos a establecer Las estipulaciones que se pactan pueden ser económicas y no económicas conforme a las necesidades y determinaciones de cada pareja. “Es la intención de establecer el régimen económico del matrimonio. Hay parejas que no quieren una total separación de la economía, sino una híbrida; otros desean establecerla por cierto tiempo. Se puede estipular la participación de cada uno sobre la propiedad que adquieran. De igual modo, que un componente del matrimonio no responderá por las obligaciones económicas del otro, así como la forma en que rendirán las contribuciones sobre ingresos”, enumera. Entre las estipulaciones no económicas podría estar dónde vivirán e incluso a qué centro de estudio asistirán los hijos que procreen. Son acuerdos entre ambos siempre y cuando no sean ilegales ni atenten contra la moral. Beneficios y desventajas El acierto principal es no mezclar las económicas y crear una protección. Es evitar tener que dividir los bienes en caso de una disolución del matrimonio. Para algunos, como desventaja, es el hecho de no poder decir que tienen algo creado en conjunto. “Hay quienes tienen la percepción de que las capitulaciones se hacen pensando desde ya en el divorcio o que no podrán construir nada como pareja y no es así. Pueden comprar casa y negocios juntos, lo único es que lo hacen como comuneros, como si fueran socios. En caso de ruptura cada cual se lleva lo que puso”, puntualiza la licenciada Molina Ruiz. Al momento de planificar la boda no olviden incluir las capitulaciones matrimoniales en el presupuesto. Su costo varía y lo establece el abogado notario que la realiza. omencé ayudando a vestir a las novias. Luego incursioné modelando en los diferentes eventos y ferias de novias que se realizaban, hasta que el destino me fue llevando hacia la coordinación de mi primera boda”, recuerda. En aquel entonces, a las coordinadoras se les veía como una figura que se utilizaba únicamente el día del evento, pues la tarea de planificación recaía en la madre de la novia. “No había un respeto por la figura del coordinador, pues se le consideraba un recurso que se utilizaba solo para darle seguimiento a lo que planificaba la familia de los contrayentes. Con el transcurso del tiempo hemos tenido que demostrar que la coordinación va más allá de ayudar a los invitados a sentarse y de vigilar que todo transcurra como espera el cliente”, sentencia. Cambio de visión De un tiempo a esta parte, el rol del coordinador se ha ampliado. Aquella visión de que solo era necesario en las bodas opulentas y de magníficos presupuestos se ha

Change of vision From time to time, the role of the coordinator has been expanded. That vision that was only necessary in opulent weddings and magnificent budgets has been changed, since no matter the size of the celebration its services are essential to ensure the tranquility of the hirers. “Brides needed whoever was looking

Nuestras funciones se han ido ampliando porque nuestra clientela es más educada, llega a nosotros más informada y decidida sobre el tipo de celebración que desea. Contratar los servicios de un coordinador no debe verse como un gasto, es una inversión que redunda en grandes beneficios”, confiesa nuestra entrevistada. A la par con la evolución del cliente, los coordinadores se han enfrascado en un proceso de educación continua con tal de poder satisfacer esa nueva realidad de quien lo contrata. “Nuestra función ya requería de una educación más formal, y es así como surgen los primeros seminarios, en los cuales se tocaban temas relacionados con mayor sustancia. Desde el 2008 en específico es que se comienza a ofrecer cursos en distintas universidades dirigidos a formar profesionales en la coordinación. Esta es una profesión estresante, para la que se espera que quien la ejecute tenga las herramientas necesarias para hacerle frente. Muchos ven solo el glamur y no el gran trabajo que conlleva crear un evento exitoso”, considera.

Those who hire us expect us to be in tune because we are the axis of the creation of the wedding. We keep control so that all the elements work in the couple’s favor, creating a memorable day,” says Irizarry. “What does the couple’s coordinator expect?,” we asked. “Consideration and respect, nothing more. Sometimes we go beyond the service for those who hire us and don’t see it. There are no holidays or personal festivities when we are in full coordination. We work for the enjoyment of the customer and their guests. It’s something that fills us greatly,” she replies.

Quienes nos contratan esperan que estemos en su sintonía pues somos el eje de la creación de la boda. Mantenemos el control de modo que todos los elementos funcionen a favor de la pareja, creando un día memorable”, dice Irizarry. “¿Qué espera el coordinador de la pareja?”, preguntamos. “Consideración y respeto, más nada. A veces vamos más allá del servicio para el que nos contratan y no lo ven. No hay días de fiesta ni festividades personales cuando estamos en plena coordinación. Trabajamos para el disfrute del cliente y de sus invitados. Es algo que nos llena grandemente”, responde convencida.

AL BUSCAR UN COORDINADOR Aparte de los datos ofrecidos por la experimentada coordinadora Pao-Pei Irizarry, hay otros que se deben tomar en consideración al momento de contratar a este profesional: • Busquen y confirmen referencias. • Tengan claro si lo buscan para la coordinación completa o parcial. La coordinación completa se da desde el comienzo de la planificación de la boda. Les acompañará en la selección de suplidores, vigila los términos y condiciones de los contratos, organiza la agenda de trabajo de modo que resulte funcional, práctica y costoefectiva. Por su parte, la coordinación parcial se limita a la última semana antes de la boda. En ella, el coordinador solo da seguimiento a los proveedores ya contratados y garantiza que el día del evento todo transcurra como debe ser. • No se deslumbren con ofertas “atractivas” que brindan un sin número de servicios por un costo absurdo. Recuerden que en muchas ocasiones lo barato sale caro. • Consideren las recomendaciones que haga el coordinador. A fin de cuentas, es el guardián que vigila que todo marche bien al tiempo que maximiza el presupuesto establecido. • Asegúrense de que quien seleccionen tenga sus documentos vigentes, entre ellos su registro de comerciante y póliza de seguro. WHEN LOOKING FOR A COORDINATOR Apart from the data offered by the experienced coordinator Pao-Pei Irizarry, there are others that must be taken into consideration when hiring this professional: • Find and confirm references. • Be clear if you are being sought for full or partial coordination. Full coordination takes way from the beginning of wedding planning. It will accompany you in the selection of suppliers, monitor the terms and conditions of the contracts, organize the work agenda so that it is functional, practical and cost-effective. Partial coordination, for its part, is limited to the last week before the wedding. In it, the coordinator only follows up on the suppliers already contracted and ensures that the day of the event all goes as it should. • Don’t dazzle with “attractive” offers that provide a number of services for an absurd cost. el diseño del bizcocho es el gusto de la pareja. Están las que quieren algo cargado, mientras otras prefieren lo simple. En la primera reunión me muestra alguna inspiración, le doy mi parecer siguiendo mi experiencia. El resultado es una pieza de pastelería a su gusto realizada partiendo de las recomendaciones que le brindo”, explica a NUPCIAL quien cumple 35 años de labor ininterrumpida creando pasteles. El blanco y el crema siguen siendo tonalidades solicitadas, aunque se le está dando paso a colores tanto brillantes como neutrales. “Los novios y las novias están buscando elementos distintivos para sus bodas, máxime si se trata de la torta. Es por eso que se han puesto en boga el negro, el azul marino, el verde y los tonos metálicos como el dorado y el plateado. Se puede ver toda de un solo color o combinada. El uso de las flores no ha perdido vigencia, salvo qué hay quienes gustan de una menor cantidad”, especifica Caro. También es común ver una combinación de texturas y alturas entre los diversos pisos. Otra vertiente que se está considerando es realizar un falso bizcocho en espuma de goma, el cual lleva la decoración que solicitan los novios. “Con esto se garantiza que el pastel se quede toda la noche como parte de la decoración. El verdadero bizcocho se prepara en unas placas grandes, se corta en la porción adecuada y se sirve a cada invitado”, dice. Sabor a Puerto Rico Si hay un elemento que distingue a las bodas que se realizan en Puerto Rico es el sabor de los bizcochos que en ellas se ofrecen. Los clásicos son los mojados en sirope de brandi y almendras. No obstante, hay otros sabores que en la actualidad son muy solicitados.”Últimamente los clientes están pidiendo limón, chocolate y marmoleado, que es la combinación de vainilla y chocolate. También el de queso crema y guayaba gusta mucho”, señala. “¿Qué debe buscar la pareja que contrate a un repostero?”, queremos saber. “Es importante conocer cuánto tiempo lleva en el mercado. También resulta indispensable ver sus trabajo, ya sea en sus redes sociales como en eventos a los que haya ido. Las recomendaciones son importantes para así tomar la decisión idónea”, atestigua.

The classics are the wet ones in brandy and almonds syrup. However, there are other flavors that are currently highly sought after.” Lately customers are ordering lemon, chocolate and marble, which is the combination of vanilla and chocolate. Cream cheese and guava are also favorites,” she says. “What should the couple who hires a Baker look for?,” we want to know. “It’s important to know how long it’s been on the market. l poema extenso, obra de Guillermo Aguirre y Fierro, hizo que muchos espíritus libres emularan su declamación hasta en las bodas del siglo pasado. Entonces se estilaba dedicar un brindis por la buenaventura de los contrayentes, imitando a grandes declamadores de fin de año. Lo lindo de estos discursos poéticos era que se distanciaban de la realidad de los novios y más aún de quienes estaban mirando la copa tratando de descifrar si era un buen espumoso o hasta una gratificante sidra asturiana. Ya fuera con recordatorios o capias, manjares de alto vuelo o sándwiches de mezcla criolla, el brindis perseveró, aunque con menos pompas que el de Aguirre. Eso sí, con ánimo y buenos sentimientos. Por lo general, le tocaba al padrino esta gesta encomiable dentro del protocolo del casorio. Como todo cambia, las costumbres incluidas en menesteres de celebración, el brindis de la boda se adapta a todos los escenarios posibles e imaginables. Con esto, vemos las opciones disponibles en los mercados locales para que el brindis se amolde al presupuesto de la pareja. En el siglo 21 El estilo del brindis de esta era es más sencillo, a menos que pertenezcas a una pseudomonarquía. Agradecida quedo de Meghan Markle, que al casarse con el Príncipe Harry, cambió con elegancia las pautas para este evento. Si ella pudo, definitivamente cualquier persona puede adaptar su boda a los gustos y preferencias de la pareja. Hago la aclaración porque no existe regla fija para un brindis.

Desde lo más popis y elegante, vemos hasta bodas en extremos, eso sí dejando un espacio para la celebración de un nuevo comienzo en pareja. Distintos escenarios En este siglo, la esencia del ritual del brindis perdura: señala la partida, la llegada de un evento importante en el marco familiar y de amistad bajo el amparo de los dioses, como los griegos de antes. Los amantes del champán y con tendencias de foodies optarán por dar énfasis a los vinos en su boda y el brindis no se quedará atrás. Uno de mis favoritos es el Schramberg. Así también encontramos excelentes cavas españolas y buenísimos proseccos italianos. Estos rondan entre los $10 y $20 dólares por botella. Una tendencia que va en aumento es la celebración sustentable de la boda, con el planeta y sus elementos como norte. Para entremeses y menús veganos, sugiero vinos orgánicos, y para el brindis hay buenas opciones como los vinos de Anna Spinato. Si el presupuesto es factor limitante, se puede optar por un cóctel con base de espumoso pero hay que recordar el manejo y la preparación del mismo. También ayuda a la postura, lo que hace que luzcas más estilizada. “Pueden usarse tanto en vestidos con mangas como strapless”, agrega Nannette. El color ideal “Entre el blanco, el crema y el color piel, ¿cuál es la tonalidad más recomendada para la ropa interior?, queremos saber. “Tiende a ser los más semejante al color de la piel que blanco. Esta es una decisión estética, pues se busca que parezca parte del vestido. Por eso recalco en la importancia de asesorarse bien en cuanto a la utilización de la ropa interior que complemente el vestido de novia. Esa cita debe ser parte esencial de los preparativos”, puntualiza.

La también hipnoterapeuta recomienda tratarla “con el mismo respeto que le guardan a su progenitora”.

Necesarios los acuerdos En ocasiones uno de los dos no está de ánimo para el encuentro sexual y eso también hay que conversarlo. “Siempre debe darse bajo mutuo acuerdo. Ambos tienen que estar dispuestos al disfrute, al goce y a compartir una experiencia que los beneficie”, alerta el especialista. Existen diferencias entre los intereses del hombre y los de la mujer al momento de la intimidad. Alquilar con opción a compra Algunas parejas optan por el alquiler con opción a compra como alternativa para ir creando solidez económica y establecer crédito. “Esta es buena opción si están restaurando su crédito, liquidando deudas para aumentar su capacidad adquisitiva y de financiamiento, o porque están esperando cumplir algún requisito de financiamiento. Lo recomendable es que este tipo de contrato sea firmado y notariado. La clave está en los términos y condiciones que se estipulen. El documento tendrá dos contratos en uno: el de alquiler y el de compra venta. El mismo debe incluir el precio de venta. De reducirse el valor de la propiedad los compradores no se podrían beneficiar pues se acordó un precio. Ahora, si aumenta los compradores se beneficiarían ya que al precio no cambiar redundaría en una ganancia de capital anticipada. La pareja tendrá que dar el adelanto de opción a compra de aproximadamente hasta un siete por ciento del precio de venta. Si por alguna razón no pueden cumplir con el tiempo prescriptivo en el contrato para la compra, perderían el dinero”, dijo. Alquilar Esta opción es más accesible. “Tiende a tener un pago mensual más bajo que una hipoteca y la responsabilidad es de un tiempo menor. Les permite a las parejas ahorrar, organizar sus finanzas, alcanzar estabilidad financiera y estar bien preparadas para el momento de la compra”, manifiesta. Finanzas al día Se puede tener un empleo bien remunerado, pero se requiere de un buen historial crediticio para que el nuevo matrimonio pueda definir qué tipo de propiedad será su hogar. “Tener un crédito en buen estado es sumamente importante. Para comprar ayuda a lograr un buen producto hipotecario y mejores intereses. Alquilar es una alternativa flexible cuando el crédito no está en su mejor estado”, explica Blanco.
