PROVIDENT BANK PARK
On July 13th, 2011 Nyack College Athletic Director Keith Davie announced that the men’s baseball program will call Provident Bank Park their home field beginning the Spring 2012 season. The newly built, state of the art, 38 million dollar stadium serves as the home field for the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am league. Nestled amid the picturesque Ramapo mountains, “The Bank” creates a tremendous atmosphere for enjoying America’s Pastime, as evidenced by the over 120,000 fans who attended Boulders’ games in their 2011 inaugural season. It features a 360 degree concourse to allow viewing from all angles, an incredible sunset view of the mountains over the left field bleachers, and players can be expected to take their shots at the right field Short Porch as well as the 40-foot high centerfield fence, occasionally referred to as “Mount Ramapo.” It seats 4,500 but can accommodate far more thanks to the ample standing room, as evidenced by their record-setting mark in excess of 6,000 in the season’s final weekend.

“Our baseball program is tremendously blessed to have such a supportive administration behind us, that always pushes for the best possible experiences for our student athletes,” states Head Baseball Coach Matt Cornacchione. “I’m extremely excited about making Provident Bank Park our home field for years to come and know that this will certainly move our program in a great direction.” ” This is an amazing step for our program and playing in this elite baseball facility will simply validate our program on the national level,” quotes Nyack College Athletic Director Keith Davie. “I am so happy for our coach and our baseball program and thankful to the Rockland Local Development Corporation for working with us.” Baseball is slated to play their first home double-header at Provident Bank Park on Saturday March 3rd when they take on Queens College.
