December is finaly here, I hope everyone is well during this cold months. Our next Divisional will be held midJanuar, during this time we will elect the next LTG for division 24. If you have not been able to attend any divisionals yet, this is the one you will want to attend.
Congratulations to all of division 24 for working hard and reaching our service hour goal of 2,000 hours, as well as reaching our district fundraising goal of $185,000. Our district fundraising goal has been raised to $225,000, if we work hard together by the end of March I definitely think we can reach our goal!

INTERNATIONAL UPDATES I hope all of you are doing well! As exam season approaches, I wish you all good luck, and remember to take study breaks. Please still try to keep members active this hoilday season as there are many communities who need some extra love. Don’t forget to reach out to loved ones and make sure your friends feel extra loved during the holidays, too!

Most notably, we hosted the third annual Global Engagement Rally and it was huge success! I wanted to thank everyone who attended. Recordings can be found on YouTube. LTC this year is happening from March 31st through April 2nd at the Crowne Plaza Hotel • Desmond Hotel in Albany NY. Come and meetin Key Clubber from all around New York, coming together to celebrate service and the amazing things clubs have done through out the 22-23 term. This years theme is Diamond Jubilee: Celebrating 75 Years of Service!

LTC is an amazing experience for any person, I highly suggest your club attending! LTC is a great way to gain skills to apply personally and professional through workshops, inspirational Keynote speaker, performing service alongside Key Clubbers from across the state, celebrate service, meet new people, and so much more! As we are coming back from COVID the price for LTC has gone up, but that just means lots more fundraising! The sooner you start the more you raise and the more members you will be able to bring!

District Endorsed Projects The lyme disease project was created to help pay for medical treatment for children with Lyme Disease, as most insurance companies do not pay for it’s expensive treatment
Division 24 Service Projects/Fundraisers Pull Tabs Division 24 is collecting Pull tabs from cans of all kinds to recycle and donate the money to Ronald McDonald’s House. They provide a home away from home for families during their medical journey. 100% of donations go towards providing all the necessary items people need like food, clothing, hotel room, and even money for treatment/hospital expenses! D24 will be collecting tabs all thuntil the end of my term in March 31st. If your club has collected any tabs, you can drop them off to me at the next divisional.
Division 24 Service Projects/Fundraisers Charity Miles Division 24 is raising money for March of Dimes through Charity Miles! For ever mile you complete $0.25 is donated, so far we have donated $2,341.75 as a group! March of Dimes mission is to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. Their goals are to end the preventable maternal health risks and deaths, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap. Charity Miles is available on IOS and Android. Check the app daily to track your miles and donate to charity! Join our group by entering our team name NYDKC 24. There is no code, so you have to fully create an account before you join the team.
Service Spotlight D24 Carthage Key Club has been working hard on using all the materials bought to make trauma bears for Fall Rally. On 12/7 about 10 Key Clubbers got together for a couple hours and were able to make around 10 extra bears! The Trauma bears are donated to local fire stations to give to children after they have gone through stressful or traumatic experience. They plan to continue this service project throughout the rest of the school year! — Emma Hermanowski, President

On November 19th, NYDKC Division 24 & ECDKC Division 8/9/10 hosted Fall Rally in Ottawa, Canada We had around 30 members attend along with some of the local Kiwanis Club members! There were two Keynote speakers Danica Susilo and Jamie Johnson. We hosted 5 workshops all pertaining to helping and empowering our Key Clubbers, and one service Project. During our service project Key Clubber got together and sewed teddy bears to give to the local fire departments. These bears are given to children when found after going through traum experience. Thank you to all who attend the event and made it the whole thing possible, thank you to our Keynotes and the Ottawa Kiwanis Club!

Pencils of Promise ensures that every child has access to quality education by building classrooms to give students safe and healthy places to learn. They provides teachers with training and innovative resource, and it provides children with access to clean water, private bathrooms, and good hygiene practices.

Report how many service hours your club has completed that month. Due on the 10th of the following month. Day 09
FRF - Fundraising Report Form
Report the amount of money your club has donated to charity, completed with in the week after completing. ERF - Election Report Form
Report to District all of your clubs officers and their contact information. This form is past due and if you have not already completed it, please do so ASAP!
Lieutenant Governor Election It’s that time of year again, Lieutenant Governor Elections! I’m very sad to see my term come to and end, but I know for who ever is my successor will do amazing things during there time! The Lieutenant Governor has many responsibilities and is a very important position when it comes to Key Club international. I relay important messages from District and International to clubs like you. I do this by sending out weekly updates, which I call Moose Minutes, and monthly newsletters, called The North Country Newsletter. As the LTG (Lieutenant Governor) I make sure all 9 clubs in division 24 turn in all the necessary paperwork on time, even if I have to nag them for it. One of the most important things the LTG has to do is travel to Albany, NY every couple of months for our District Board meetings. Before deciding to run for LTG, please make sure your parents are alright with you traveling to Albany with another adult (Mrs. Patti Dean). You will be supervised by trusted adults during the entire weekend. During board meeting you relay to the rest of the board what has your division been up too and any problems or concerns you had. Another important part of being LTG is hosting divisional’s! Just like your club meeting , Key Clubbers from all over Division 24 come together for a fun filled meeting of in person updates and service project or fundaiser.
Lieutenant Governor Election (Cont.) I personally love being Lieutenant Governor and wished to continue my time with division 24, but I know someone else will enjoy it just as much. One of the great opportunities of being LTG is getting to make friends with Key Clubber all over New York and the US! I get to talk to others and get great idea for clubs, I have made amazing friends through being on the District board and that’s something I could never replace! I highly suggest if your looking for a higher office position in Key Club International you should run for LTG! Pertaining to LTG elections, they will happen mid-January. I am currently working out a date and location with Mrs. Dean and other club advisors. If you are interested in running, please reach out before hand and I will provide all the necessary information you will need before the election!
