DIVISION 24 - JULY NEWSLETTER

Lieutenant Governor's Greeting Hey Key Clubbers, Summer is here!! I hope everyone enjoys their break after this crazy school year. While you're relaxing or vacationing this summer, don't forget about Key Club. Community service doesn't stop just because school is over. Later on in the newsletter I will have a list of service ideas if you' need help thinking of ideas. July also has two amazing events for you to participate in. The Summer Leadership Conference, which is July 8th-10th, and the Thirst Project Legacy Summit, which is July 15th and 16th. More information about these events can be found later on in my newsletter. Service doesn’t stop in the summer and neither does paperwork. MRFs are still due on the 10th of every month and FRFs still need to be filled out after every fundraiser where the money does not go to the club. Please do not forget about these. Enjoy your summer and keep helping others!!

Yours in Service, Anna Scott Division 24 Lieutenant Governor

Past Events - Service Spotlight Norwood-Norfolk High School (Division 24) On June 19th, the Norwood-Norfolk Key Club hosted a Father’s Day car wash from 10-2pm. We scrubbed many cars, offered lemonade to customers, and had lots of fun. Several Key Clubbers attended and we even gained over $300 in donations. All profits went towards Alex’s Lemonade Stand against childhood cancer. We had a great turnout for Key Clubbers at this event. Not only did we spray and clean cars but we also sprayed each other with the hose. Even though we worked hard, we still made sure to have fun. I hope in the future we can keep up the amount of participation from members and even motivate and encourage more of our members to come to events not only over the summer but for the next school year. Thank you to everyone who donated money towards our cause and to everyone who came and helped out at the event. Written by: Molly Gardner, President of Norwood-Norfolk Key Club

Past Events - Service Spotlights Newburgh Free Academy (Division 13) During Newburgh's Key Club year's of 2020-2021 most of our in person time was shut down due to Covid. Although this put a strain on our club it didn't stop us from doing our job in helping our community. Every year there are always mothers with newborn children who don't have the supplies needed to take care of them. So Newburgh stepped in to send them multiple items such as carriers, strollers, outfits, etc. Overall Newburgh was able to raise about 1,500 worth of items and send it to Saint Luke's. This isn't the first year we have done this with Saint Luke's but we are glad to continue it. I hope we are able to continue this every upcoming year as well. Hopefully when schools are up and running next year we will be able to help out even more. Written by: Kevin Leto, President of Newburgh Free Academy
