Division Service

Charity Miles

As individual clubs you all complete different service Projects to help reach our goals here are a couple of service projects that we can complete as a division!

Charity miles is an app available for IOS and Android that count that amount of steps you take in a day and turn it into money for charity! Join our team, NYDKC 24 to help raise money for March of Dimes. For every mile $0.25 goes to charity, help us each our goalof 5,000 miles by the end of the service year. As of July 13th, we have walked 3,737 miles which is $934.25 going towards March of Dimes!

Can/Pull Tab Collecting A new service project I want to introduce is collecting pull tabs from your cans to be donated to Ronald McDonald House. For every pound of pull tabs you get about $0.50, which a little over 1,200 tabs. Ronald McDonald House is helping families physically, economically, and emotionally by providing a home away from home for families during their health care journey. You can help by collecting pull tabs at your school and bring them to our next divisional.

Service Spotlight Norwood-Norfolk The Norwood-Norfolk Key Clubbers and an Ogdensburg Key Club member worked together to help the Norwood Kiwanis Club with their Free Kids Day in the park. They showed up at 9am to help with the pop up tents setting up the games, face painting and dunk tank. The members from both clubs ran the games, got dunked and painted faces. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun for many families. As President of the Norwood Kiwanis Club we could not have held a successful event without them. Thank you Jaden, Abbie, Simone, Mikayla, Alivia from NNCS and Jayden from OFA key clubs.
