THREADS OF OUR CIT Y
Having proudly served as New York’s Orchestra for more than 176 years, the Philharmonic turns its sights on music that reflects who we are as a mosaic of people. In this weeklong focus, we explore our roots as a city of immigrants, including a new work by Julia Wolfe that spotlights the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. Community partners include the Museum of the City of New York, National Archives at New York City, and the Tenement Museum.
