Have I reviewed the Cancellation Policy for the camp? Have I filled out the required waivers and forms for this camp if applicable (available online or by calling reception)? Have I reviewed the Camp Handbook and Camp Schedule? (Emailed the Wednesday before the camps starts). Have I reviewed all the items my child needs to bring to camp i.e. sunscreen, hat, extra clothes, waterbottle, lunch, snacks, swim suit, towel, locker quarter, etc. Do I have any other questions before the camps starts? Cancellation Policy:
All weekly camp credits/refunds/ changes must be requested by 9:30am the Friday prior to the start of camp. All daily registration (Skidaddle) camp credits/refunds/changes must be requested at least 72 hours prior to the start of camp. For example: By Friday at 9:00am if daily camp is on Monday starting at 9:00am. Camps
What you should know about Camps:
Leadership: Camp leaders are selected for their experience, abilities and dedication to provide every camper with a safe, fun summer camp experience. A Safe Place for Children: Campers are fully supervised throughout the day. Camp leaders are trained in First Aid and CPR, have completed a criminal record check and received camp specific training. Parents/guardians are required to sign campers in and out of camp each day and provide current medical and emergency information for their camper. Camp Schedules: For most camps, you will be emailed a schedule and parent information letter the Wednesday before the camp begins. Schedules and the parent letter will indicate items your camper should bring to camp each day. Please note: schedules are subject to change. The First Day of Camp: Please be prepared to stay a few minutes on the first day of camp to complete signin, meet your camper’s leaders and complete any outstanding paperwork. Poor Weather: Camps run in rain or shine unless you are notified otherwise. Epi-pens and Severe Allergies: If your child carries an Epi-pen, an Emergency Medical Information Form must be completed before the first day of camp. Forms are available at reception and on the website.
Please refrain from sending “products with nuts” to camp.
Age Requirements: All full-day camps require campers to have completed kindergarten before summer 2023 in order to register.
Preschool Camps (3–5 years old):
All preschool camps require campers to be able to use the toilet independently.

EXTRA SUPPORT NEEDS:
If your child is eligible for a support staff through funding by Supported Child Development please contact the Licensed Care Programmer at 250-370-7902 to arrange for support staff prior to registering for a camp. Supported spots are limited and based on staff availability.
PRO-D SKIDADDLE 5-12 YRS
Come and spend your Pro-D Day at Skidaddle! There are tons of fun activities planned for you including swimming, arts and crafts, games, and lots more. Don’t forget your swimsuit, towel, and a quarter for a locker. Children must attend Kindergarten or higher to attend this course. Swimming will depend on COVID-19 public health regulations.

Participants will be working on laptops and therefore should be somewhat comfortable using a keyboard and mouse. No programming/coding experience is necessary.

DANCE EXPLORATION CAMP 3-5 YRS
Do you love to put your favourite music on and dance around the living room? Then this is the camp for you. You will be exploring many different styles of dance like ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap, and all the great music that comes with it. Be prepared to dance your socks off! Dancers should come in comfy clothes, ready to move, with hard shoes available for the tap portions. Dancers should also bring a snack and drink with them as we will need a refreshment after all the activities. Invite your parents for a mini performance on the last day to see how much you have learned! For all preschool camps children must be able to use the toilet independently.

Recreation Oak Bay's popular and well-established Novice Hockey League (NHL) is proud to present its Spring Camp. This active half day camp for boys and girls offers 6 hours of on-ice hockey instruction. Skills covered for beginner to intermediate level players are skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and team play. Station centered drills in like-skilled groups are utilized to keep kids moving and engaged at a challenging level. Off-ice activities include fun on the indoor turf playing cooperative games. Goalies in full CSA certified gear are welcome. Full gear is mandatory for all players. Players must be able to skate the length of the ice and back with some speed and stop comfortably. Prerequisite: must have completed level Pre-school 3 or Skate 2.

Soccertron coaches are eager to help each young player improve their soccer skills while having fun at the same time! This program runs for five consecutive days, with each day's session being 4 hours long. During each session, there are themed skills that the coaches target for development. Children will be put into appropriate age groups and skill levels. Camp includes a t-shirt. Campers finish each day in the pool.

GROWTH MINDSET READERS 5-6 YRS
Students will strengthen their phonemic awareness and writing skills using various literacy stations. Growth mindset readers focuses on the Orton Gillingham methodology. Each day will include: a literacy lesson which will focus on different vowel sounds and spelling rules to help our students read and write independently. We will have story time and writers workshop too. This camp is designed for kindergarteners, children must be registered in kindergarten to attend.

Mentored by master filmmakers, campers will engage in hands-on exploration of the filmmaking process, including pre-production, production and postproduction. Working in small crews, they will learn about cinematography, script writing and editing. Campers will then create, act in and edit a short film and movie trailer. Each film crew will use a MacBook, HD camera, tripod, green screen, and boom mic under the guidance of their own filmmaker. Movies will be posted on our Movie Portal.

ZEN MAKER LAB-3D DESIGN & 3D PRINTING 10-12 YRS
This program will expose students to the world of 3D printing and teach them the fundamentals they will need to use this revolutionary technology. From producing parts on the International Space Station to factory production here on Earth, and from the potential of 3D printing organs to save lives to inventors prototyping their new innovations from their own home, 3D printers are already changing the world around you. Your child will learn the foundations of 3D printers and 3D design, including, how are 3D printers being used today, and how to successfully print quality objects on a 3D printer. Coding, logic, and robotics are essential skills for our children to be successful in the future, so we are happy to announce this age-appropriate introduction to these skills. No experience is necessary and this year, all new missions, and challenges. Creative computer coding fun and learning with a variety of tools including online coding puzzles, hands-on coding games, storytelling, crafting & creating, and programmable robots. The focus is fun, perseverance, creativity, and teamwork. We will work as a group on and off computers and tablets to spark an interest in the digital world and complete challenges with our programmable robots!
