STRETCH, STRENGTH & CONDITION

MOVE STRONG: RESTORING STRENGTH AND MOBILITY 19 YRS+

This is not your typical style of strength and stretch class. It is designed to ‘up-regulate’ the muscles that are less used and ‘down-regulate’ the ones that are overactive. It was once believed that fitness classes should require activating more muscles, but studies show it has become more relevant to learn how to let muscles release their constant tension and act like muscles should: turn on when needed and turn off when not. Floor work is part of this class.

YIN AND RESTORATIVE

YIN & RESTORATIVE YOGA 19 YRS+

This hybrid class combines the deep stretching and fascial release of Yin Yoga with the deep relaxation of Restorative Yoga. Class may include gentle warm-up movements, fascial release using massage balls, Yin postures that are held for long periods of time to encourage the slow and safe opening of connective tissues, supported restorative postures to soothe the nervous system, and guided meditation. You will leave this class feeling released, relieved, and restored.
