Oak Bay Families’ Resource Program P

A Free Community Drop-in for ages 6 months to 5 years.

This drop-in program is for caregivers and babies and toddlers up to five years to enjoy free play, snack and activities with each other. Drop-in space is limited so arrive on time to avoid disappointment. FRIDAYS, 10:00–11:30AM JANUARY 13–MARCH 17 (Program does not run on Professional Development Days and Statutory Holidays.) Located in the Rainforest Room at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre, 2121 Cadboro Bay Rd (attached to Oak Bay High School). In partnership with Fernwood NRG and the Provincial Government of BC.

Parents, bring your tots to play, sing, explore, and experiment in the gym with our toys and equipment. The gym includes loads of toys, structures to climb, sports equipment, rideon toys and of course the bouncy castle! Circle time with action songs and rhymes conclude each day’s class. Mobile, participating siblings must pay admission. Children must be supervised by their caregivers for this program. MUSIC TOGETHER P 1 MOS-5 YRS

Music Together® is an internationally recognized music and movement program for children birth-5yrs and their parents and caregivers. Mixed-age classes provide developmentally appropriate, rich experiences that support and respect the unique learning styles of young children. Come sing, play, laugh, dance, learn, and have fun with us! $193 fee for the first child includes: CD and digital downloads, online access to the Family Music Zone, a beautifully illustrated songbook, and a parent resource guide for new families. A sibling can be registered for $133 at reception. Siblings under 9 months as of the date of the first class attend free. RHYTHM KIDS I BY MUSIC TOGETHER-TIGER SONG COLLECTION 4-5 YRS

Rhythm Kids is an exciting music, movement, and drumming class for 4’s and 5’s that includes lots of the same fun and silly singing and games as Music Together classes, with added inspiration (and djembes!) for your older preschooler and kindergarten child. Children will: • Learn multicultural drumming patterns. • Develop new repertoire on various percussion instruments. • Play games based on music' dance and drumming. • Have fun with a host of rhythm activities. Classes are for children ages 4-5 and include: • 10 weekly, 45-minute classes • Animal Collection Songbook and CD each semester • Access to online drum-play videos and other material • Level I classes are intended as a parent-child class. GROWTH MINDSET READERS 5-6 YRS
