March 2020 Clients, Partners, and Friends; This is the time of year where we get to reflect on last year and plan for the upcoming year and beyond. 2019 was a good year for Owen-Ames-Kimball Florida. We did have many great projects for many long-time clients as well as some new clients. We are proud of the work done last year. Last year yielded a varied project mix, from aviation, educational, ecclesiastical, medical, and others. We completed the Family Health Center facility in Lehigh Acres, probably the biggest building there. It truly is a signature building that contractors really enjoyed building. It did turn out very nice and will be well remembered in the area. We were able to complete a great many small projects for Collier County Schools, a very long time and great client. We finished one of the biggest aircraft hangars in this area complete with many unique features, and we completed St. Cecilia’s Marion Hall, a fantastic facility for a great client. We continued to do what we can to give back to the community in many ways through the United Way campaign, which V.P. Able Natali headed up, the Harlem Heights Foundation, which our Business Development Coordinator, Jan-Erik Hustrulid, is chairman, and the Boy Scouts SWFL Council, which, I am president of. We are building the newest Habitat for Humanity site infrastructure, which will allow them to build out a great community there. We supported CCMI, plus many others too numerous to mention. Throughout the year we have worked to expand our relationships with the design community and foster new partnerships with up and coming subcontractors. We look forward to doing more of the same in 2020. We enjoyed our joint venture partnership with Tobler Construction, and were able to perform a fairly large amount of work with our JV partner for Palm City Gardens, the City of Fort Myers, and Fort Myers Housing Authority. This has been a blessing for us, and the partnership has been strong. We are looking to ramp up a bit in the coming months. We have a teaming arrangement with Mid-West Construction for a Punta Gorda project that should hopefully start very soon. As has been the norm for many years now, we continue to work synergistically with our sister company Thomas Marine Construction (TMC) and 2019 was even more intertwined. We enjoy the ongoing relationship and have plans to further expand soon. We have been able to make many upgrades this year, some in technology, employee education, and safety, all enhancing our abilities to serve our client base to our upmost ability as a company. In the near term we should be implementing some additional technology to enhance productivity and communication. We have seen serval retirements through the year and welcomed serval new folks that we believe will be great additions to the team. We at Owen-Ames-Kimball are thankful for 2019 and the year that it was. We are looking forward to a great 2020, due in most part to all of you. As we completed our budget exercise for 2020, with the backlog looking stronger than it has ever been, we feel that if we all work together this year can be much better than last. We look forward to talking and working with all of you throughout the coming year. All the Best,
David Dale and the entire O-A-K team
