If the session is full, we will add you to our waiting list. Prior to the start of the course further information will be sent. Course Prerequisites - A basic level of English & Maths is required.

These courses are subsidised by Hertfordshire Adult & Family Learning Service to provide learning opportunities in the county. A condition of this funding is that all students are required to reflect on their learning and record this information on a few forms. Thank you for your cooperation.

Internet and Staying Safe Online

Did you know that cyber-crime is the fastest growing crime type in the world and also that the majority of these types of crime can also be prevented by adopting basic cyber security measures?

This course will cover improving your mouse and keyboard skills; accessing secure websites and understanding what makes them secure; navigating shopping sites e.g. Amazon, eBay, food stores for delivery/click & collect, ordering tickets for the theatre, trains etc; how to create a secure password; staying safe on line – junk email/phishing emails and clearing history, cache, favourites and more...

This six-week course will be delivered in St Albans and Welwyn Garden City/Hatfield. Each lesson is 2 hours duration.

Memoir Writing

Our memories are the most precious thing we have. This course will help you to capture yours in writing, both for yourself and your family.

It will provide you expert training from a professional writer. Learn how to plan your memoirs and start the process of putting your life into words.

This six-week course is delivered in Welwyn Garden City/Hatfield. Each lesson is 2 hours duration.

Mindfulness for Daily Living

Learn how to bring the mind to rest by understanding the basics of mindful living; learn and practise meditation techniques and reap the benefits of the physical, emotional and mental good health that mindfulness can provide.
