La Agencia de Cuarentena de Animales y Plantas de Corea del Sur dio a conocer el día 2, que tras 9 años de negociaciones con México, finalmente se ha llegado a un acuerdo sobre las condiciones de cuarentena para poder enviar dicha fruta al país latinoamericano. South Korea, China to move ahead with free trade, currency exchanges (3/7/2014) Bilateral economic relations between South Korea and China are expected to further strengthen as the two countries will aim to solidify and bolster their ties to boost trade when President Park Geun-hye and President Xi Jinping meet for a summit in Seoul on Thursday. Korea, Australia agree to hasten FTA ratification (5/9/2014) South Korea and Australia have agreed to step up efforts to expedite the domestic process for the early ratification and implementation of a bilateral free trade agreement, Seoul’s foreign ministry said Friday. Chinese FM calls on New Zealand to strengthen common interests (8/9/2014) Visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on New Zealand in Auckland on Friday to strengthen ties aimed at forming a "community of common interests." Wang told his New Zealand counterpart Murray McCully that the two countries have set several precedents among western countries, including the signing of the first Free Trade Agreement in 2008. Korean customs sector to assist Lao revenue collection (8/9/2014) Human resource development is required in the customs sector to improve efficiency and revenue collection, boosting the economy and contributing to socio-economic development. S. Korea-China-Japan FTA talks end with little progress (8/9/2014) A fresh round of negotiations for a three-way free trade agreement (FTA) between South Korea, China and Japan ended Friday without a clear breakthrough although the South Korean side said the talks were productive. Brunei, S’pore ink letter of intent to strengthen relations (9/9/2914) Brunei and Singapore yesterday signed a letter of intent on the annual exchange of official visits between their Home Affairs ministries, which will pave the way for more cooperation. Xi’s visit will mark a new era in bilateral ties: Beijing (9/9/2914) China has stated its intent to substantially elevate its ties during the upcoming visit of President Xi Jinping to India, disallowing differences in perception on the border issue to cloud a growing relationship of significance. Taiwan and China resume talks on merchandise trade pact (10/9/2014) Taiwan and China re-opened talks on a merchandise trade pact on Wednesday after negotiations were shelved for 10 months because of controversy in Taiwan over a trade-inservices pact the two sides signed in June 2013. The meetings were attended by Yang Jen-ni, director general of Taiwan's Bureau of Foreign Trade, and Chen Xing, head of China's Ministry of Commerce's Department of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau Affairs. FTA accelerates trade between Vietnam and Chile (10/9/2014) The Vietnamese and Chilean business communities have better access to each other’s markets as more than 80% of export products are now duty free thanks to the Vietnam-Chile Free Trade Agreement (VCFTA) signed on January 1, 2014. Indonesia-Brunei ICT tie up proposed (11/9/2014) Indonesia is keen to enhance cooperation with Brunei in the area of info-communications technology (ICT), said the republic’s minister for communication and information technology yesterday. Uruguay to strengthen economic ties with China (11/9/2014) "China and Uruguay will strengthen and deepen their economic relations. China is already the main buyer of Uruguayan products. China donates to logging fight (5/9/2014) China, a country credited with fuelling Cambodia’s lucrative illegal logging trade, this week donated thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment to help protect the Kingdom’s forests. India set to import 100,000 tonnes of rice from Burma (8/9/2014) India, the largest rice exporter in the world, is set to import around 100,000 tonnes of rice from Burma, which was once the largest exporter of the commodity. The move is a result of logistical bottlenecks that will hinder the transportation of rice to the northeastern states of India. The rice import is a preventive measure to avoid a supply crisis in the states of Manipur and Mizoram, where a railway construction project is underway. Agreements for Chinese investments worth $5 billion to set up industrial parks in India and a few purchasing pacts of about $700 million with domestic companies are expected to be inked during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit later this month. Korea to help Myanmar establish state think-tank (10/9/2014) Korea and Myanmar signed a memorandum of understanding on establishing a state-run think tank in the Southeast Asian country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Tuesday. The Foreign Ministry plans to send a delegation to Myanmar in order to begin the project within the year. BCFA seeks to bring more Chinese products to Brunei (12/9/2014) A Trade association is seeking to introduce more advanced products from China to Brunei in a bid to increase the level of trade activities between the two countries, its senior official said.
