Как только стихнет шум жаркого лета, пейзаж постепенно поменяет свой колорит на более спокойную цветовую гамму, которая вскоре растворится в холодных тонах. Как обычно, институт Pantone детально разработал цветовую схему, рекомендуемую дизайнерам интерьеров в осенне-зимнем сезоне. Датский бренд BoConcept и итальянский Target Point блестяще реализовали эти предложения в своих новых коллекциях, сделав их необычайно оригинальными и спокойными. Воспользуемся первыми осенними днями и посетим традиционный Лондонский фестиваль дизайна Designjunction, сосредоточив свое внимание на скандинавском дизайне. Once the summer hustle and bustle of the summer is over, the landscape gradually changes colour turning to more muted tones which will soon fade away into cold colours. As always, Pantone has created with painstaking chromatic sensibility a palette recommended for interior designers’ autumn-winter creations. Danish Brand BoConcept and Italian Target Point have brilliantly applied these proposals to the new collections, which has resulted in an unusual distinction and serenity. We took advantage of the first days of autumn to visit the traditional interior design fair in London, Designjunction, focusing on the area of Scandinavian interior decoration, the proverbial minimalist elegance of which leaves no-one indifferent. This time of year marks fifty years since the death of the great architect Le Corbusier, which is why we focus on his work, which marked a whole era, as well as the impression which the Piet Mondrian and Gerrit Rietveld tandem left on European design and architecture. Those who, in preparation for the winter, are looking for the best ways to heat their homes, will find the ideal solution with the electric fireplaces of prominent brand Vanixa, defined as ‘Italian Flame’ which decorates, lights and heats. На этой площадке были собраны самые лучшие и инновационные произведения на фоне промышленных пространств, что еще сильнее подчеркивает элегантность и эксклюзивность экспонатов. Коллекция скандинавского дизайна прекрасно сочетается с этим мощным фоном, как по своей функциональности, так и по эстетике. Between September 20 and 27, the British capital was the setting for the London Design Festival, with several design and interior decoration fairs organised at the same time as part of the event. The most remarkable, due to how unique it was, was without a doubt, Designjunction, a setting for the organization of exhibitions of select and innovating creations within the unusual backdrops of industrial areas, which enhance the elegance and exclusiveness of the exhibited pieces even more. The Scandinavian design collection combined perfectly with this robust backdrop, due both to its functional and aesthetic perspectives: this interiorist trend, characterised by a rigorous minimalism, is defined as social, due to its intention of creating quality products which are available to everybody: the use of raw natural materials, with no cladding, such as the unlacquered milky white wood of the birch tree, give an exceptional warmth to the home.

deco & interior design The aesthetic effect is created by the monochromatism of a white background in different shades: ivory and pearl, broken by elements carried out in primary and pastel colours, and the refined and organic straight lines. This way, a harmonious fusion is created between elegance, comfort, functionality and organicism. An essential integrating component of Scandinavian design is light, not only natural light or the light given to the ambiance by the colour white, but also a careful selection and distribution of sources of light.

RL: Each of the pieces within the Top Garden Furniture collection has passed strict quality checks of the materials used. We cover different styles, from classical to modern, so we can adapt to all needs. OM: What do you currently have on offer? RL: We are the sole sellers on the Costa del Sol of high-range indoor sofas designed by Jorge Lopez Design. All of our products can be adapted to any space and can even be made to measure. Desert Sage (Полевой шалфей) – зеленовато-серый, холодный спокойный цвет - служит отправной точкой в палитре этой осени, имеющей тенденцию к оттенкам унисекс. При этом нельзя забывать, что цветом 2015 года остается цвет Марсала. “Полевой шалфей – вневременный, ненавязчивый, но достаточно мощный, чтобы быть ведущим цветом. Он говорит о смысле подчерпнутых из природы оттенков, напоминающих нам о реально существующем, невыдуманном мире”, - объясняют в институте цвета Pantone. К этим двум оттенкам нам нужно добавить цвет грозового мятежного неба - “Шторм” – воспоминание об элегантности и сдержанности; “Охристый дуб” – мягкий, успокаивающий, теплый оттенок, излучающий приятные вибрации; изысканный оливково-зеленый цвет “Увядшая трава”, пробуждающий натуральные ароматы природы; прохладный оттенок “Бискайский залив” - утонченный темно-бирюзовый цвет, навевающий мысли о покое и безмятежности; “Оранжевый кадмий” - своеобразный и мощный цвет, идеальный для создания контрастов; “Кашемировая роза” - чувственный и гламурный; темно-синий оттенок “Отражение в пруду”; “Аметистовая орхидея” – яркий и загадочный цвет, названный “бриллиантом в короне” осенней палитры 2015 года.

Traditionally, in their annual report, Pantone has revealed the trending colours for this autumn Desert Sage, a cool and soothing greenish gray, is the starting point of the Fall 2015 palette, which leans towards being androgynous, without forgetting the Marsala, a reddish brown which is the colour of the year. “Timeless and unobtrusive yet powerful enough to make a statement on its own, Desert Sage speaks to the feeling of naturally inspired colours that remind us of things that are real and not invented�, explains the Pantone Color Institute. Apart from those tones there is a dark blue-grey, Stormy Weather, which invokes a cloudy sky, reminiscent of elegance and discretion; the Oak Buff, soft, comforting and warm, giving off good vibrations; the sophisticated olive green colour of Dried Herb, which evokes the earthy fragrances of nature; the fresh touch of Biscay Bay, a refined teal which inspires relaxing thoughts; Cadmium Orange, a colour with a strong personality, ideal for creating contrasts; Cashmere Rose, sensuous and glamorous; the refreshing blue of Reflecting Pond; and Amethyst Orchid, enigmatic and vibrant, the Jewel in the Crown of the 2015 Fall Palette.

deco & interior design The combination of these hues which, translated to a musical scale, are reminiscent of the typical calm and harmony of an adagio, is applied almost totally to the current collection of furniture designers at Target Point, the Italian brand born in 1996 which soon made a name for itself as an excellent alternative to traditional decoration brands both at a national level in Italy and on an international scale. Любая кухня, независимо от ее размера, должна быть функциональной и при этом ее можно сделать индивидуальным пространством. Когда речь идет о небольшой по площади кухне, мы должны призвать на помощь всю свою изобретательность. На нижнем горизонтальном уровне , как правило, располагается бытовая техника: стиральная машина, посудомоечная машина или мойка, а также варочная панель и тумба с ящиками, где будут храниться необходимые предметы для приготовления пищи. Вся техника может быть встроена в кухонную мебель. Нельзя игнорировать и вертикальное использование пространства. Для этого можно располагать элементы мебели до потолка, что к тому же визуально увеличивает кухню. Универсальность размеров и моделей бытовой техники, доступных сегодня на рынке, позволяют нам играть с их расположением, с тем чтобы лучше использовать рабочие поверхности и оптимизировать пространство кухни: духовки, которые размещаются на более высоком уровне, плиты прямоугольной формы и вертикальные вытяжки. Если помещение вытянутое и узкое, то в этом случае лучше расположить всю мебель и технику по одной стороне. Напомним, что стандартная глубина - 62 см. Было бы целесообразно оставить хотя бы один метр свободным, чтобы было удобно передвигаться по кухне.

При проектировании кухни с нуля необходимо предварительно распланировать местоположение оборудования: электрических розеток, подводку воды и точечных источников света. Если убрать перегородку, то можно превратить небольшую кухню в студию, создавая прекрасное место приятных посиделок с “шеф-поваром”. В кухнях, объединенных с другими комнатами дома, нельзя забывать о главном: о мощной вытяжке, которая предотвратит распространение по всей зоне запахов, дыма и испарений. Большое внимание надо уделить расположению холодильника и мебели для хранения продуктов, которые должны располагаться по стене, так как их высота может нарушить гармонию этого континуума. И не забудем об оптимальном расположении искусственного света. Светлый цвет мебели может поддержать естественный солнечный свет, что однако не подразумевает полного отказа от цвета. Наоборот, введение цветового контраста будет приятным дополнением в стилистике кухни. И еще один полезный совет: если покрасить одну из стен или мебель специальной грифельной краской, то можно не только получить практичную поверхность для заметок, но также и небольшой уголок для творчества на нашей кухне. Kitchens are unique areas within a home. They bring back memories of unforgettable moments to us all and therefore require special dedication to become the setting for future memories. No matter how large or small, they must fulfil the task for which they were created, but we can also make them into a space with their own personality. When the space is small, we need to get more creative. The lower horizontal line must be set aside for white goods such as the washing machine, the dishwasher or the sink, as well as an area reserved for preparing foods, not forgetting a set of drawers to make sure that all the utensils we need while cooking are within our reach. All these elements can be integrated within the furniture. Vertical space can also be used wisely; high cupboards reaching up to the ceiling not only help with this but also provide visual continuity increasing the feeling of height. Thanks to the versatility of the sizes and shapes of white goods currently available on the market, we can play around with the location and make better use of work surfaces: ovens which can be placed in higher areas, rectangular hobs, vertical extractors... all help to optimize our kitchen.

If the space is long and narrow, we can make better use of it by putting all the furniture and white goods on one side (remember that the standard depth needed is 62cm) and it would be advisable to leave at least a metre free to be able to move comfortably. If we are designing it from scratch, it’s important to plan in advance to provide the necessary elements for installation: sockets with the necessary power, switches, water inlets and lighting. Simply taking down a wall can make a small kitchen into a multipurpose area with a built-on office which can also make a great place to gather around the ‘chef’. Kitchens which are integrated within other spaces should consider a fundamental factor: a powerful extractor to prevent smoke and smells from entering the shared area. Other important things to take into account are the location of the fridge and the storage cabinets, which should be placed on the wall, as their height could interrupt the harmony of the continuous space. Also plan to make good use of artificial light. Improving natural sunlight with light colours is always a good start, but this doesn’t mean colour needs to be sacrificed, on the contrary, introducing a strongly contrasting colour can add extra style to the area. A useful hint: applying a special blackboard finish on the wall or cabinet door will not only create a practical surface on which to write notes, but also a little artistic and dynamic corner in the kitchen. Пит Мондриан - один из самых выдающихся голландских художников - одновременно с Казимиром Малевичем и Василием Кандинским положил начало абстрактной живописи. В этот период Пит Мондриан через геометрическую абстракцию, строгий колорит, сведенный к основным цветам: красному, синему и желтому, и «нецветам»: белому, черному и серому, не переставал искать «сущностное» и тайну структуры мироздания. Пластическое решение его философских и духовных исканий выразилось в необычайной красоте и уникальной светописи, которые затем воплотились в дизайне, декоре, архитектуре и скульптуре. Первым, кто заметил все разнообразие возможностей, предоставляемых искусством Мондриана, был его земляк, Геррит Ритвельд, - автор проекта музея Ван Гога. Сын краснодеревщика начинал плотником в мастерской отца. Обучаясь архитектуре и дизайну, Геррит совершенствует свои познания и мастерство, и в 1918 году его увлеченность авангардной живописью находит свое отражение в дизайне красно-синего стула. Piet Mondrian THE NEOPLASTICISM IN ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN
In his abstract phase, being the inaugural pillar of this artistic movement along with Kazimir Malevich and Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, one of Holland’s most prominent painters, never stops searching for the “essential knowledge” and the basic structure of the universe, through geometric abstraction and use of colours reduced to the elementary, -red, yellow and blue- and the absent, -white, black and grey-. This plastic expression of his philosophical and spiritual concerns, led to a great beauty, luminosity and singularity, which soon transcended to other aesthetic expressions: design, decoration, architecture and sculpture. The first one to notice the diversity of the possibilities which Mondrian’s work offered was his fellow countryman, Gerrit Rietveld, the author of the Van Gogh Museum project. The son of a woodworker, Rietveld learned the carpentry trade in his father’s workshop and then expanded his knowledge once he had completed his training in architecture and design. In 1918 he transfers the fascination he feels when before the paintings of trend-setter Mondrian to the design of the Red Blue Chair. To begin with, he applies a natural wood finish, to then later, under the influence of the ‘De Stijl’ movement to which he and Mondrian both belonged, choose the colourful finishes we

all know now. In 1924 he planned his best-known architectural piece, the Rietveld Schröder House in Utrecht, together with interior designer Schröder, with whom he had been working since 1919. The house has a conventional ground floor, while the radical part is the upper area, which has sliding walls to allow spaces to be modified. The design resembles a three-dimensional form in one of Mondrian’s paintings. Another two emblematic works are located in Spain; one of them being the German National Pavilion which the great Mies Van Der Rohe planned for the International Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929 and which has all the formal and compositional characteristics of the architectural thought of the notorious artist: straight lines and angles, the fusion of inside and outside, and flat roofs, like two-dimensional surfaces in the works of Mondrian, which he materializes with an unusual eloquence in his definition: “Architecture merely has to make concrete what painting shows in the new plastic arts in an abstract manner”. The other is the building for the Pompidou Centre recently inaugurated in Malaga, which is based on square shapes and the fundamental colour use of the neo-plasticist painter, breaking his orthodoxy with the inclusion of green. This building added to the architectural group of this beautiful city an avant-garde touch perfectly integrated within the urban landscape.

Он был неиссякаемым источником оптимизма, жизнерадостности, позитивной энергии, заражал радостью все, что его окружало. Сама повседневность становилась безграничным весельем рядом с ним. Общаться с ним, работать с ним, обедать с ним за одним столом – означало наслаждаться небольшими ритуалами, полными смысла и удовольствия. Мы остаемся здесь без него и принимаем эту огромную потерю с глазами, полными слез, вспоминая вновь и вновь великие мгновения, которые он нам подарил. Его с нами нет, но он навсегда останется в нашей памяти и в наших сердцах. Место Зорана, однако, не будет пустовать, его займет новое поколение семьи Маркович: решительное, готовое продолжать дело своего отца и защищать его наследие со всей преданностью и достоинством. He left us unexpectedly in just an instant, unable to witness the sun rising on the latest dawning of his intense and productive existence and leaving a terrible emptiness in our hearts. A talented sportsman, successful entrepreneur, beloved husband and father and adored grandfather... Zoran was an everlasting source of optimism and happiness and radiated a contagious positive energy which made everything around him something joyous. He was capable of elevating the simplest of everyday things to a level of hedonistic worship. Talking, eating, working with him - all used to become little rites full of meaning and pleasure. And now, here we are without him, facing the void, recalling in tears the great moments with which he rewarded us. Despite physical absence, he will always be with us, in our hearts and in our memories. However, Zoran’s place will not remain empty, as it will be occupied by the new generation of the Markovics, highly prepared, entrepreneuring, and ready to walk the path trodden by their father while defending his legacy with determination and dignity. This time we bid you farewell, dear friend and colleague, rest in peace...

27 августа этого года исполнилось полвека со дня смерти Шарль-Эдуара Жаннере-Гри, дальновидного архитектора, инженера, теоретика модернизма, дизайнера и художника, который вошел в историю под псевдонимом Ле Корбюзье. Родившийся в Швейцарии, француз по национальности, многогранный творец Ле Корбюзье наряду с Франком Ллойдом Райтом, Оскаром Нимейером, Вальтером Гропиус, Алваром Аалто, Ричардом Неутра и Людвигом Мис ван дер Роэ считается одним из самых влиятельных архитекторов ХХ века. В изданных им многочисленных книгах Ле Корбюзье, представляя свои проекты, объясняет специалистам и студентам концепцию современной архитектуры. Его архитектурная концепция в высшей степени рационалистическая, чистая, оптимально использующая свет и перспективу, была сформулирована в “Пяти отправных точках современной архитектуры” и представляла для того времени инновационную концепцию, состоящую в применении новых строительных технологий, в частности, железобетона без облицовки и швов. Из этих идей возникает определение жилища, как “машины для жилья”, чья эстетика основывается на практичности и функциональности. Убежденный в том, что продвижение индустриализации может быть локомотивом для удовлетворения большой части потребностей человека, Ле Корбюзье создал проект дома Citrohan (Ситроен) в попытке перенаправить архитектуру в сторону максимальной функциональности. Заметным направлением творческой деятельсти Ле Корбюзье стали живопись и рисунок. August 27 marked half a century since the death of Charles Édourad Jeanneret-Gris, visionary architect, engineer, modernism theorist, designer and painter, who went down in history with the nickname Le Corbusier. Born in Switzerland, he became a French national, and this multitalented creator is considered, along with Frank Lloyd Wright, Oscar Niemeyer, Walter Gropius, Alvar Aalto, Richard Neutra and Ludwig Mies van der Roh, to be one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. His concepts of modern architecture are captured in several self-published books in which he explained his ideas by means of his own projects, in order to transmit them to other professionals and students. His architecture, highly rationalistic, polished and with an excellent use of light and joint perspectives, is systemised in his “five points towards a new architecture” which represents a huge conceptual innovation for its time, and lies in taking advantage of new constructive technologies, derived especially from the use of reinforced concrete without concealment or cladding. From these ideas comes his definition of the home as a machine for living, the beauty of which is based in practicality and functionality. Convinced that the progress of industrialization is the vehicle to satisfy the greater part of man’s needs, he set forth his construction project serialised in his Citrohän houses essay, aiming to divert architecture in the direction of maximum utility. Throughout Le Corbusier’s opus, he also showed a marked creative side as a plastic artist: after 1918, his magazine, L’Esprit Nouveau, together with painter Amadeo Ozenfant, set the basis for Purism, his art evolves and he experiments with different genres and themes until women become his main pictorial interest.

As mentioned in the book Le Corbusier, Paintings and Drawings, “he represents them in thousands of different ways, but always with a Mediterranean vision, solar, panic, primitive source of creation, with generous and expressive forms, a kind of goddess on Earth”. At the same time he began his journey in the field of sculpture, bulls begin to appear in his work: “the image of the bull takes an important role in the increasingly complex symbolism of Corbusier’s plastic work, simultaneously representing the strength of Spring-like resurrection as opposed to wintery darkness, nature in constant change and movement, and masculinity as opposed to the feminine aspects of the Cosmos”, as Juan Calatrava described it. One of the main themes of plastic maturity of the author of the City of Three Million Inhabitants urban project, is the open hand, the point of contact between the architect and the world, which defines his thought: “with full hands I have received, with full hands I give.”

Купол, покрытый алебастром бледно-красного цвета и прошитый маленькими круглыми отверстиями, пропускающими естественный свет, стоит на параболических гексагональных арках. Залы на втором этаже выходят к аркадной галерее, обратная сторона которой видна как закрытый балкон на главном фасаде. Здесь Гауди использовал оригинальную систему искривленных арок и колонн с гиперболоидными капителями - беспрецедентный стиль, который никогда не повторился в архитектуре. Далее идет большой центральный зал, обставленный роскошной мебелью и декорированный бесценными произведениями искусства. Здесь следует упомянуть диван со спинкой из алебастра и брокателя, выполненный по проекту Гауди, и стул Phebus (автор – Francesc Vidal i Jevellí) в стиле “пламенеющей готики” из баварского дерева. В этой работе он полностью меняет представление о дымоходах и, увидев в них большое подспорье для творчества, перестает их использовать как скучные функциональные элементы. Кирпичные дымоходы, кроме шести, он облицевал керамической плиткой в характерной для Гауди технике Trencadís: стеклом, мрамором и фарфором с различными яркими узорами. Дымоходы, как правило, имеют коническую или пирамидальную форму, хотя есть и элементы призматически-пирамидальной или цилиндрически-конической формы, с капителями конической или сферической формы, с ромбами или треугольниками, в форме спирали или пирамиды.

Palau Güell an emblem of catalan modernism
It was built between 1886 and 1890, a period which almost totally coincides with the architect’s Orientalist period. In 1969 it was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument and since 1984 it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage, within the ‘Works of Antoni Gaudi’ area. The main feature of the Garraf limestone façade is the wrought iron entrance gates, which represent two snakes with their tails making the letter G for Güell, while between the gates there is another iron trellis decorated with the Catalan coat of arms and a helmet with a phoenix. The back façade, built in punched stone, overlooks the inner courtyard, and is divided into two differentiated areas; the bottom is the story for those of noble blood, and includes a back patio which is accessed via the dining room, and which has a curious bay window, covered in blue and black tiles, with wooden shutters; at the sides there are two large metals windows, and flanking them, two small doors which allow access to the terrace, and another with a walkway which connects with the side structure annexed to the building. Separated from this level by a stone impost which juts out from the wall is the upper level, which has a brise-soleil above the bay window as its main feature. The façade is crowned by a stone cornice with an iron rail.

The Palace, commissioned by the great entrepreneur and patron of the era, Eusebi Güell, and designed by Antoni Gaudi, is one of the most emblematic examples of Catalan modernism. The building’s inner space is distributed in such a way as to separate public life from private. To this end, the ground floor vestibule perfectly connects with the different parts of the building: from the centre, the main stairs go up to the mezzanine, where, to the right, Mister Güell had his office, plus the library and the administration and archive quarters; with a vestibule and a restroom to the left. From the vestibule in the mezzanine runs the stairway of honour, accessing the noble storey, the main feature of which is the roof with its double dome which has a paraboloid shape inside and a conic shape from the outside, a typical solution of Byzantine art. The dome, covered with reddish colour alabaster and perforated with small oculus which allow natural light to enter, is set on main arches which are also parabolic, in a hexagonal shape. The areas of the noble storey are demarcated by a gallery of arches which matches the one on the outside façade, where Gaudi used an original system of linked overhead arches and columns with hyperboloid capitals, an unseen style which would never again be repeated in architecture. After that there is the grand central hall, the most sumptuously decorated room, with furnishing and artwork of great value, the most important piece being an alabaster and brocatelle marquese sofa designed by Gaudi, and a chair named Phebus, by Vidal i Jevelli, in neo-Gothic Flamboyant style, inspired by woodwork. In Antoni Gaudi’s opus, the Güell Palace, there is a before and after, in this work of his, the notion of fireplaces changes totally, as he stops treating them as an annoying purely functional element, and starts to see them as a magnificent foundation on which to express creativity. The 20 fireplaces which he went on to build, made in brick and, except for six with exposed brick, are covered by trencadis ceramic mosaic, frequently seen in Gaudi’s work, glass, marble or porcelain, with varying designs in bright colours. They mainly have tronco-conical and tronco-pyramidal shapes, although there are also some in prismaticpyramidal or cylindrical-conical, with conical or spherical capitals, with diamonds or triangles, in spirals or pyramids.
