Now that the sun is high in the sky we anticipate the pleasure that can be obtained by its light and heat. However, these rays can sometimes be harsh, so we need the protection of shadow. If there is no shadow available, it must be created; this is the philosophy behind The Shade Sail Company, which offers solutions for all kinds of outside areas. The company director, Tom Ward, explains in great detail all the services offered to maximise well-being during the summer.

ОМ: Каждый успешный бизнес имеет свою историю. Как вы начали защищать от солнца побережье Коста-дель-Соль? SSC: Мы вернулись в Европу из Австралии в 2005 году, и обнаружили, что здесь, на Коста-дель-Соль есть хорошие перспективы для продвижения на рынок солнцезащитных тентов. У нас уже был некоторый подобный опыт в Австралии и при помощи друзей мы начали и стали развивать наш бизнес. ОМ: Какое ваше главное производственное направление ? SSC: Для всех наших объектов мы производим высококачественные парусные маркизы. Все проекты разрабатываются и изготавливаются по индивидуальным заказам, так что все они уникальны. ОМ: Какие дополнительные услуги вы предлагаете своим клиентам? SSC: Для своих клиентов мы предлагаем полное обслуживание. Оно включает в себя чистку, установку и снятие маркизов в зимние месяцы, что способствует долгому сроку службы. Мы также храним маркизы на нашем складе в зимний период. ОМ: Какие материалы, учитывая их цвет и различную степень проницаемости, вы используете для защиты от солнечного света? SSC: Наши ткани обеспечивают защиту от ультрафиолетовых лучей на 80- 97%. Мы предлагаем более 45 цветов от наших поставщиков.

SSC: Все наши объекты устанавливаются по австралийским стандартам и у нас не возникает здесь нет никаких проблем с ветром. Первое о чем мы думаем при установке - это безопасность, и до сих пор у нас не было ни одной претензии, связанной с потерей или порчей тента из-за сильного ветра.
ОМ: Каковы ваши планы дальнейшего развития? SSC: Мы постоянно ищем возможности для расширения бизнеса, проводя обучение нашим способам установки партнёров из разных регионов. Surviving THE SUMMER...
Summertime and the living is easy, but in Southern Spain King Sun has little mercy for his admirers, who must then look for protection from his fearsome rays or spend the season indoors. However, this is far from mission impossible: “If there is no shade, it must be created� is the slogan of The Shade Sail Company, established on the Costa del Sol nine years ago. The director of The Shade Sail Company, Tom Ward, agreed to share his commitment to comfortable outdoor living with the readers of Ogee Magazine. 8 ogeemagazine.com

OM: Every successful business has a story to tell. How did you begin protecting residents of the Costa del Sol from the sun? SSC: We returned to Europe from Australia in 2005 and found that there was a very good opportunity to introduce shade sails to this area. We had some experience of this type of business in Australia and with some help from friends, we started the business and have grown from there. OM: What is your main production line? SSC: We produce very high quality shade sails. All our projects are custom designed and manufactured, so all of our installations are unique. OM: What additional services do you offer your customers? SSC: We offer a full maintenance service that includes cleaning, installation and removal for the winter months, which ensures a long life for the sails. We also store sails at our workshops for the winter period. OM: Given the different rates of diffusion of materials and colours, which do you use? SSC: We have used many colours here and our fabrics offer from 80 to 97
per cent protection from the sun’s harsh UV rays. We have access to over 45 colours from our suppliers. OM: The Costa del Sol can be windy. How do you ensure the shields aren’t ripped or blown away? SSC: All our projects are installed to Australian standards and we do not have any problems with the wind here. Our first thought is for safety when we install projects and to date we have never had a problem with the wind or lost a sail. OM: Are there any limitations in terms of product size and geographical distances? SSC: We can manufacture sails of up to 200 square metres if required however this is very large and we do not get much call for sails as large as this. We can also make sails of every shape, so for unusual projects this is a big plus. We work all across Andalucia. OM: What are your expansion plans? SSC: We are constantly looking to expand our business by training other people from different regions in our installation methods. We currently supply sails to our installer clients in Spain, UK, Canada and France.

Филармония в Щецине В результате жесткой конкуренции на международном конкурсе Мис ван дер Роэ из представленных 420 проектов из 36 стран осталось пять финалистов. Приз жюри Премии Мис ван дер Роэ за достижения в современной архитектуре ЕС вручен победителю 2015 года работе испанского архитектурного бюро Barozzi/Veiga (Барселона) Филармонии в Щецине (Польша). Бюро Barozzi/Veiga – это молодые архитекторы Фабрицио Бароцци и Альберто Вейга, которые уже имеют в своем портфолио длинный список высоких международных наград, таких как Vanguard Award Design Architectural Record, Нью-Йорк, или Международная премия имени фонда Якова Чернихова. SPAIN GARNERS MORE HONOURS IN 2015’S MIES AWARDS Szczecin Philharmonic Despite strong international competition, the judging panel was finally able to agree on five finalists from the 420 projects presented from 36 countries. The EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture 2015 was awarded to the Barcelona based duo, Barozzi-Veiga for their work on the Szczecin Philharmonic (Poland). This studio, comprising young architects Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga, has already won a long list of prestigious international awards, such as the Vanguard Award Design Architectural Record New York and has been shortlisted for the Iakov Chernikhov International Prize. The construction, perfectly in place in the urban landscape of this Baltic city, is a tribute to pure white angles, quirky nooks and spiral stairs. The colour palette is quite definitely monochrome, reflecting an impressive aesthetic purity, the ideal backdrop for the light games which illuminate the facade from within. This is altogether a most suitable container for music, the most sublime and spiritual art. The interior comprises the symphonic hall with a capacity for up to a thousand people and a chamber music hall seating up to 200, a multi-functional space and a large lobby.
House of Light Another Spanish success story in this prestigious competition was the Architecture-G studio, also located in the Catalan capital, whose members are young architects Jonathan Arnabat, Jordi Ayala-Bril, Aitor Fuentes, and Igor Urdampilleta. In fact, they bagged the Mies van der Rohe Emerging Architecture Award, the first time that this prize has been offered. The winning work, named Casa Luz (Light House) Cilleros (Caceres),
was built on an existing, badly damaged country house, achieving an effective symbiosis of traditional and current, minimalist architectural elements. A creative combination of materials - the warmth of wood in contrast to the coldness of the large, white windows which admit generous amounts of light - makes this building a very desirable and pleasant place to live. The jury especially praised the “simplicity and brightness of space”, as well its environmental credentials and imaginative use of colour.

Inauguration of new project at Santa Clara Golf
Marbella, an eternal object of desire for big investors, once again confirms its star status. Urbania International has launched an ambitious and luxurious building project, a new phase of Santa Clara Golf based on the philosophy of delivering stylish construction, tailored specifically to the needs of its residents. The complex, named ICON and backed by US financiers, will cost approximately 150€ million and will breathe new life into the west side of Marbella. The main objective of this new phase is to build on the success already achieved by Santa Clara. The project which, it is hoped, will be completed within four years, is a totally new approach to urban planning and architecture,
as well as delivering an innovative concept of services and public areas. This imaginative package will convert this exclusive residential area into one of the most desirable places in Marbella. The design of 20 of the most lavish villas has been awarded to architects with international reputations, namely Rodolfo Amieva Jacobson, Eduardo Oria, Hugo Torrico, Manolo Burgos, Jose Munoz Campos and Patrick Murphy. Buyers will be able to choose their plot, the architecture of their home and the services they require. This concept of bespoke villas will be marketed under the name “Chalets Signed By Icon”.

Террасы являются неотъемлемой частью повседневной жизни, особенно, на Коста-дель-Соль. Открытая или закрытая терраса, небольшой балкон или веранда, создаются для отдыха и расслабления. Правильно оборудованные террасы могут радовать владельцев круглый год. Необычайно важны оформление и комфорт террас. Они поддерживают расслабляющую атмосферу, окружающую нас в общественных местах и частных резиденциях. Накрытый со вкусом стол на террасе с видом на море или на горы может улучшить Вам настроение на весь день. Большие или маленькие террасы являясь логическим продолжением дома, соединяют его с природой, и сами составляют часть окружающего пейзажа. При проектировании террасы мы должны думать о возможном назначении данного места: обеденная зона, зона для отдыха и встреч. Надо оптимально использовать размер террасы, чтобы не отказываться ни от одной из опций. Если наша терраса небольшая, то хорошо бы найти место, чтобы поставить стулья и дополнительный столик, совмещая таким образом все три зоны. На больших и просторных террасах мы можем позволить себе свободно разделить площадь на необходимые нам зоны.

Террасу надо обставлять специальной мебелью. Металлическая мебель должна быть сделана из нержавеющих материалов. Деревянная – из тропических пород дерева, которые хорошо переносят непогоду. Натуральные материалы, такие как пулут, ротанга или бамбук очень прочны и жаростойки. Кроме мебели из дерева и натуральных материалов, также можно рассматривать и синтетическую мебель, которая кроме прочности предлагает современные покрытия высокого качества. Что касается текстиля, то выбирайте водонепроницаемые ткани, чтобы не убирать мебель каждый раз при угрозе дождя, а для морских регионов желательно использовать ткани с противосолевой обработкой, без которой они быстро разрушаются.
Каким бы ни был размер террасы, желательно иметь небольшой садик пропорциональный ей. Он придаст живость, цвет и одарит нас радостью сопричастности природе. Высаживание растений на террасе может стать приятным занятием: суккуленты, жасмин, царица ночи оживят пространство. Другим важным фактором, который нужно иметь в виду, является свет. Terraces are part of daily life, especially in locations such as the Costa del Sol. Whether you have a terrace, a small balcony, a roof garden or a porch, all can help you to enjoy your time outdoors. Their potential is not only reserved for the summer, since a well equipped terrace can be enjoyed throughout the year. A happy marriage of aesthetics and comfort is vital, since your outdoor space needs to unite interior and exterior to become part of the environment. A meal on a terrace overlooking the beach or the mountains should mark the beginning or end of a great day. The size of the terrace, whether big or small, can provide an extension to the home itself, permitting your property to open outwards and the deck itself to become a part of the view. When designing a terrace we should think of what it can be: a space for eating, resting, spending time with friends and family, among other activities. We will need to consider the size in order to optimize its potential and make the most of its possibilities. If the terrace is small, it’s sensible to have a seating area with table so we can use them simultaneously. In larger spaces we can create zones for different activities. It is important to consider using furniture that is suitable for outdoor use, for instance, metal chairs or tables should be oxidation resistant. Where wood is concerned, tropical wood offers excellent protection against the elements. Natural fibres such as pulut, rattan or bamboo are hard-wearing and add warmth.

You might also consider using high quality synthetic alternatives to wood, since these often look perfectly acceptable and, due to their long-lasting nature, can prevent ongoing maintenance. As for textiles, choose waterproof fabrics to avoid damage due to rain; some materials have been treated with anti-salt technology, as fabrics used in seaside areas tend to deteriorate rapidly otherwise. It is always advisable to have a small garden with a size proportionate to that of the terrace. Gardens promote life, colour and all of the immense rewards that accompany their growth. However inept we might consider ourselves as gardeners, there are always a few plants that can be cultivated by the least experienced horticulturist and these will add enjoyment to your terrace. Another aspect to consider is light. A cleverly lit terrace will create an appropriate ambience for different areas. Outdoor lamps, lanterns and candles create a cosy atmosphere that invites us to spend more time outside. Who doesn’t love a shaded spot on a hot summer day? Mr. Sandro Morelli use to organise charity events in his restaurant. The last one, celebrated on 6th of Juny, has raised almost ÂŁ250.000 for Children with Cancer UK.
This bella Italia oasis is the labour of love of Sandro Morelli, a canny businessman and hospitality expert who arrived on the Coast two decades ago with the aim of recreating the finest Italian establishment in Spain. The grounds of Villa Tiberio cover about six thousand square metres, encapsulating the concept of arquitectura del vacio (architecture of emptiness) created by the celebrated architect, Melvin Villaroel. In order to externalize this aura of historical luxury an Italian garden, as seen in many Spanish palaces, was designed. Wide esplanades surrounded by lush green lawns and beautiful flower bushes make a genuine Arcadian paradise, where pools, waterfalls and fountains live in harmony with sculptures depicting mythological scenes and busts of the most illustrious emperors of ancient Rome. Obviously, traditional touches such as a temple of love could not be omitted, since this is the epitome of the most sophisticated Italian garden. So close to, yet so far from the hustle and bustle of urban life, the garden really comes into its own at night, when imaginative lighting lends it an almost dreamlike aura. Crossing the plaza, an indispensable element of the architecture of emptiness, this marvellous garden leads to the terrace, which is protected by the shadow of lush bougainvillea. The spacious dining room is a natural extension of the Italianate aesthetics, which have preserved the stylistic unity to the last detail. The Roman columns lead to spacious arcades and marble floors with Greek motifs on the frieze. An earthy colour wheel comprising a wide range of shades has been employed, which combines harmoniously with the bluish-grey wicker furniture. It is also an ideal backdrop for decorative items such as Venetian mirrors framed in baroque mouldings, according to the most demanding interior trends of Italian aristocracy. The trompe l’oeil work conceals the spring-like sky surrounding the lamps, while the large windows offer generous views over this sophisticated environment. Far more than a standard restaurant, this is also a botanical garden, housing a museum of outdoor sculptures. This beauty might have emerged from nature, but it has been perfected by human ingenuity, a symbiosis translated into aesthetic sensuality and raised to the ultimate heights of elegance and delicacy.

Термин лофт (loft) появился в середине прошлого века в самых неблагополучных районах Нью-Йорка. В заброшенных промышленных зданиях, фасады которых покрывали граффити с социальными лозунгами, находили свое прибежище пострадавшие от Великой депрессии. Прошло не так много времени для того, чтобы убедиться, что освещенность и прозрачность этих просторных помещений предлагает огромный спектр возможностей для их многоцелевого использования. Первыми претендентами на приобретение фабрик, складов, магазинов были художники, которые нуждались в организации своего личного и профессионального жизненного пространства. The term ‘loft’ first began to be used widely in depressed New York neighbourhoods in the 1950s, as poverty stricken artists and artisans began to occupy derelict industrial buildings. This movement, which was undoubtedly born of necessity, soon developed into an accepted aesthetic style, a place where cool, minimalist interiors were de rigueur and urban graffiti flourished. However, it did not take long for developers to discover that the brightness and open space offered by these versatile old structures made them ideal for modern living. The first customers eager to buy these factories, warehouses and stores were artists, seduced by the notion of ordering their space to accommodate their personal and professional needs. These bohemian lifestyles tended to favour utility over elaborate decoration and, even now, loft inhabitants embrace minimalism and the Wabi Sabi trend, which match the aesthetics of this type of residence. More recently a loft lifestyle has become increasingly desirable, inducing inhabitants of standard houses and apartments to convert their interiors to resemble old New York factories. To achieve this it is essential to obtain an open space with only essential divisions and, if possible, mezzanine levels. Construction materials are the real stars, often used to achieve a colour balance that maximises the space. Furniture should be functional, without sacrificing its aesthetic appeal and comfort. For those who feel they cannot organise their
home without the use of doors, it is preferable to employ glass sliding doors to ensure the entire space remains visible. Walls can be replaced by other dividing elements such as furniture (bookcases, for example), floors, panels, sheet metal or wood, vitroblock or glass, which in turn facilitates natural brightness. It is also advisable to fit large windows and use a mirror system which also enhances the space visually. All materials used should contribute to the industrial feeling of the whole. That is not to say that choosing a loft layout means any loss of utility: such spaces can easily be arranged to contain living/dining room, kitchen, laundry area, bedroom and/or bedroom-studio and, according to the requirements of the residents, can also include interior garden, workshop and meditation area. In short, loft living can be defined as an adaptable, casual ambience that can suit all tastes and pockets, a style in which the imagination flourishes and determines the final appearance of the home. These pages offer a few examples of how industrial properties and homes have been successfully transformed into cosy and functional lofts, ideal for a comfortable life.

FINANCIAL PLANNING CHANGING PERCEPTIONS
We are delighted to be offered a regular article in OGEE Magazine, with the objective of providing financial information which is interesting, relevant and should prove valuable. With information technologies and exchange of information by authorities advancing at such a pace, it has never been more important to be ‘’Financially Well Organised & Savvy’’. Over 65 countries and territories, including OECD member states, have publicly committed to introduce automatic exchange of information. These numbers are likely to increase with regulations similar to the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), being the benchmark for regulators and tax collection agencies around the world. All states now automatically exchange information in respect of investment, or bank accounts opened up in their jurisdiction by a resident of another state. The exchange of information focuses on the beneficial ownership of accounts, whether they are in the name of the individual, trust, company or other entity. Therefore it is even more important to use legally robust methods of reducing the tax burden now, and especially if you plan to pass your assets on to your selected beneficiaries. Arrangements that rely on less than frank disclosure will fail and cause huge financial and practical problems with the potential seizure of assets AND heavy penalties. Do not allow your relevant governmental collector(s) of taxes become your biggest beneficiary! Make sure that assets are held in entities and structures that are fully compliant in all aspects of CURRENT legislation and reviewed regularly with qualified and regulated Advisers. Financial Planning is not dead, it is alive and well, but the emphasis is on legitimate and compliant structures.

Participants in and visitors to this year’s prestigious fair Maison & Objet in Paris were impressed by the presentation of a full range of luxury furniture made in a stylish collaboration between legendary British car company Bentley and Italian company Luxury Living Group, one of Europe’s leading furniture manufacturers. The characteristic elegance of the world renowned British brand moved from luxury car interiors to domestic furniture, adding its recognizable and glamorous seal and guaranteeing uniqueness of vision and high quality finishes. All pieces are the result of supreme craftsmanship and exquisite materials that have always characterized the interiors of Bentley limousines. Bentley launched the first collection of home and office furniture last year and the enormous success it achieved led to its extension, a look based on the output of prestigious architects Carlo Colombo and Daniele Ceccomori, Head of Product Design at Bentley. The new collection, including accessories and finishes, is a synthesis of dedication, functionality, comfort, glamour and extraordinary quality. Great attention has also been paid to colour: the palette is natural and peaceful, with earthy tones as well as quartz, gray and ice. This year’s Pantone colour, Marsala has not been forgotten either and nudes with variations in purple red, and blue have also been used. Materials such as leather, soft velvets and Kashmiris have been enhanced by three-dimensional patterns. The furniture aesthetic is in perfect harmony with handmade carpets, wool, silk and pashmina, refined blankets edged in mink, quilted diamond and precious woods as well as
Macassar ebony and Calacatta marble combined with steel finish metallic base or hand-tooled leather. The collection comprises the Minster sofa, available in leather or fabric, a harmonious and flowing form with curved arms and the Butterfly leather sofa in ivory with a deep plush seat, padded in the characteristic Bentley diamond, while the chair’s fabric is made from grey striped wool. The Richmond bed is a paradigm of the flexible elements and stylistic principles characteristic of Bentley - quilted leather, heather root wood, the headboard covered in satin wool of an iridescent sand colour, all embossed with the finely embroidered brand logo. There is also the Ambassador dresser, an elegant, original, majestic design with a metallic steel structure and lava leather covered container module which, when combined with heather or Macassar ebony, fits perfectly into the backdrop of modern architecture and the Harlow armchair, a clever replica of the classic movie director’s chair on a firm and sophisticated structure, with steel base and cognac leather seat. Его потолок с крестовыми сводами – словно застывшая проекция космического купола поддерживают восемь стройных витых колонн, напоминающих своей формой иконографию храма Царя Соломона, и шестнадцать пилястр того же типа. Отходящие от 11 метровых колонн нервюры разделяют пространство на квадратные ячейки, образуя небольшие купола.

По ее ступенькам, как по резьбе винта, можно подняться в залы верхних этажей, принадлежащих бывшей тюрьме для просрочивших платежи и недобросовестных купцов. Другой важной частью биржи является Апельсиновый дворик, в который можно попасть через Зал сделок (Сала-деКонтратасьон). Это прекрасное место для покоя и отдыха. Здесь в тени кипарисов, лимонных и апельсиновых деревьев, около центрального фонтана в форме восьмиконечной звезды проводились разнообразные праздничные церемонии.

Spain proclaimed it a national monument in 1931 and in 1996 the rest of the planet woke up to the Silk Exchange’s importance, as it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Gothic jewel, made in stone, still stands as the epitome of European late Gothic architecture, its debt to the Renaissance also obvious, a synthesis that reflects the splendour of a glorious time when knowledge was blooming and learning was valued. This is also reflected in a Latin inscription painted in gold on a dark background which, translated, reads: “I am a famous house, built in fifteen years. Try and see, fellow citizens, how negotiation is such a good thing when there is no lie in the speech, when it swears to the neighbour and does not deceive him, when it does not lend money with an interest charge for its use. The merchant who acts this way will prosper and at the end he will enjoy eternal life.”

The complex is composed of four parts: the Tower, the Sea Consulate Room, the Orange Trees Patio and the Trading Hall or Column Lounge. The windows are highlighted with ornamentation while the monumental doors feature ogee arches, taking their peaks to heavenly heights. The décor also features small sculptures and 20 artistic gargoyles, most of them depicting scenes from the underworld, while the Virgin and Child stand as symbols of virtue trumping vice. The Column Room or Contracting Hall is a large open plan room, with three longitudinal aisles and five across forming a set of vaults in the roof – a petrified projection of the cosmic dome sustained by eight slender spiral columns and 16 similar pilasters. These features were deliberately selected for their resemblance to the iconography of the Temple of King Solomon. Eleven metre high columns give birth to ribs extending over square sections at the same level, forming spherical shapes. The splendid spiral staircase leading from the Column Hall to the Tower consists of one helix spiral ridge with stairs attached to circulate the wall rising to the upper rooms and the upper floors - designed to imprison delinquent merchants. Through the door of the Chamber of Trade visitors can access lovely Orange Trees Patio, another important part of the Silk Exchange. It is an idyllic and relaxing space under the shade of lemon, orange and cypress trees around a central fountain where festivals and ceremonies were once held. On the left-hand side of the Orange Trees Patio is the Renaissance Consulate of the Sea, with lavish décor in a graceful Italian style, which perfectly complements the Gothic Chamber of Trade.

Writer Joan Francesc Mira recorded the unique beauty of this monument building in the most beautiful and poetic way: “The Silk Exchange...is in the fifteenth century Catalan fish market style typical also of Mallorca but bigger and more beautiful... it is also, and above all, the unique and beautiful living space of columns: slender, helical, perfect columns, which open twenty metres up to form ribs and starred vaults. Ab ovo? Что было раньше - курица или яйцо? На этот вопрос, вероятно, никогда не будет найден ответ. Единственное, что мы знаем наверняка, так это то, что после яйца появилось знаменитое кресло, которое произвело переворот в дизайне мебели. Ab ovo? Which came first - the chicken or the egg? This thorny issue will probably never be satisfactorily resolved, but what we know for sure is that after the egg came the famous chair, which revolutionized furniture design. It was in 1958 that Arne Jacobsen, Danish architect and industrial designer, realized that the oval shape also represented the human body in the foetal position and this perception led to his Egg Chair, created for the lobby of Royal Hotel Copenhagen. This influential creation, which combines a sensual and aesthetic form with comfort and functionality, still represents the zenith of modernist aesthetics and Nordic design. Cosy and designed to support the human form, it offers privacy and fits perfectly into any space and was used in many film productions. Arne Jacobsen was the first in the history of design able to manufacture a chair in one piece, the seat, back and armrests being moulded in fibreglass, allowing the creation of a single concave shell. The chair rests on a star-shaped aluminium base that permits the chair to swing. Due to the unique demands of the manufacturing process it is impossible to produce more than 10 units a week, so the Egg chair has become an object of desire for interior designers all over the world. The natural shape of Jacobsen’s chair gave another Danish designer, Henrik Thorn Larsen, famous for his designs for Porsche and Saab, the idea of adapting the oval form to create a semi-open egg. He called it Ovalia and exhibited it with much success at the Scandinavia Furniture Fair in 1968. The shell of the chair is executed in fibreglass reinforced polyester in gleaming white, while the cushion is, in fact, the Egg chair designed by Jacobsen and made from polyester and synthetic padding. It is available in a rich palette of more than 20 colours, making it suitable for any environment. It measures 130 by 90cm, while the moving, rotating, painted or polished aluminium foot is 14 cm high. Over time, there have been several Ovalia replicas fashioned from different materials, for example pendant bamboo, which is more suitable for outdoor spaces. In conclusion, both the Jacobsen chair and Larsen’s Ovalia are pieces that provide complete relaxation and a sense of protection, comfort and aesthetic pleasure that feeds the senses. “THE BIG EYE” POPUP GALLERY EXHIBITION On June the 12th a group of art enthusiasts gathered in the showroom of Nezha Kanouni Interior Design in Estepona to see works by Paula Vincenti and Jorge Hernandez in the new Popup Exhibition Gallery. The exhibition, entitled The Big Eye and curated by Elena Caranca, examines dual visions of the world of perception beyond sensory limits and will be open to the public until the 30th of August. Guests attending the opening were entertained with music by Funky Derrick, aka Mederic Nebinger, who is part of the French electronic scene.

The opening of the Ligismond Art Gallery in Marbella On Friday June the 19th 2015, Marbella witnessed the official opening of the Ligismond Art Gallery. This exciting new venue features works by the French artist, Thierry Ligismond, including a selection of his drawings, sculptures and paintings. Ligismond is especially renowned for his bronze sculptures with coloured patinas. The exhibition will be open to the public until September 30, 2015.
