Garry Pendergast is a life-long learner and has made a career of passing on his learning to others. He teaches in a variety of disciplines at Okanagan College including Employment Skills Training, the Education Assistant program and Fast Track to Office. Pendergast prides himself on supporting students as they expand their education, strengthen their skills and prepare for the workforce. “The most rewarding part of being an instructor is that moment when you see a student who you’ve been working closely with, grasp the subject – you can visibly see when everything clicks and it’s inspiring. Background Etiquette on Set Background performers are also called extras. That is because they are the “extra” performers needed in the scene to make it look realistic. Relaxation Massage for Two An introduction to a variety of simple to follow massage techniques that will help decrease muscular tension and stress as well as increase circulation. AGRICULTURE Beekeeping Basics You can become a beekeeper, whether you live in the big city, the suburbs or in the country. Learn what the handling of honeybees is all about. Practical Gardener
This online course provides a basic understanding of cultural techniques that will enhance plant establishment, survival and health. It emphasizes practical approaches and solutions to gardening situations and problems encountered by both the novice gardener and grounds maintenance personnel. For students with no prior knowledge of plants or horticulture, also for persons already in the horticulture industry who deal with home garden issues on a regular basis – e.g. Garden Centre and Grounds Maintenance personnel. And, of course, it is ideal for homeowners who wish to take their gardening techniques to the next level.
