Advanced GIS is used in many aspects of business and allows analysts to visualize data in various formats in order to look for relationships and patterns. “The GIS Essentials is what I was mostly needing for the work I’m doing now but I found all the other components of the course quite interesting. It’s a challenging program but is exciting to learn,” says Pooley. “The sense of community I felt while attending Okanagan College continues in the work I do at Adams Lake Band. I have performed some mapping tasks for a few different departments here that make me thankful for the knowledge I gained at Okanagan College, especially when it comes to helping out our children and youth.”
