The California legislature passed AB 195 in June of 2022. With this change, the state's cannabis cultivation tax has been eliminated, and its excise tax has been capped at 15%. For at least three years, it will remain at 15%. There is still a lot of work to be done, but it is a start. Among growers, distributors, and resellers, taxes are the most important issue."
