R&M Designs My design concept was Rustic Decor mixed with a modern style. For this board, I focused on more rustic/antique elements than I usually do.
For this project, I had to invent a company that represents my design aesthetic. My design aesthetic is typically Rustic Modern, although this year made me branch out into more modern designs with accented neutral color palettes. I named it R&M Designs, standing for Rustic and Modern Designs. For my project I had to create a busines card, a facebook banner, a promotional representation of my company, a logo and an instagram post of my aesthetic.
Re-Model: Living Room
For my design concept, I chose a very monochromatic color scheme with green accents in the plants. I used a lot of fur material because typically that is seen in higher-end homes. I still incorporated light colored wood to fit my design preference but used a large number of materials to bring the space together.
For this project, I had to tour expensive houses in the parade of homes and select a room in my house that i would re-do based on the designs i saw in the houses.I choose my living room to re-do and complete a materials board to envision the space.
3-D Model & Material Sample Board For this assignment, I had to collab with my fellow students. We each made a room and when we were done, we all had to make a house with each of our rooms. After I made a 3-D Model, I was required to do a material board for two of the rooms and chose the master bath and master bedroom.
For my design concept I chose to do a very modern style, incorporating fur elements, glass and very soft colors. I chose to use a lot of textures/materials for my design.
New Build- Sustainable Home
For this project, I chose a very minimialistic, user-riendly design with a triadic color scheme using yellow, pink and blue.
For this project, I had to build a kitchen based off of my client’s need of sustainability. I had to research what exactly made a home a sustainable home.
Dream Teen Lounge Space For this project, I was given a teen client and had to make a lounge space of their liking. My teen asked for a very “dreamy� aesthetic with clouds as well as pastel colors incorporated into the design. My teen was also a very good student and wanted a desk/workspace incorporated into the space.
My design concept was based on a modern but comfy, inviting feel. However, in my relaxing space, I incorporated a desk withing a storage space and added many areas for seating to ensure comfort.
