Sports wagering in Washington state is live with Caesars Sportsbook. After partnering with three casinos, Caesars Sportsbook brought in-person sports betting to life for fans in Seattle, Tacoma and Spokane ahead of Super Bowl LVI. The new Caesars Sportsbook at Muckleshoot Casino features four live betting windows and nine self-service kiosks, with plans to offer on-property mobile sports wagering through the Caesars Sportsbook app, pending regulatory approval. Spokane Tribe Casino opened its state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook location with a brand-new dining option, while Chewelah Casino offers selfservice betting kiosks.

The best Italian restaurants tend to be family-run with recipes passed down through generations. That’s exactly what the all-new Sapori Italian Kitchen brings to the table at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. At Sapori, whose name means “flavors” in Italian, guests experience authentic Italian dishes from the Carano family recipe book. Since founding Eldorado Resort Casino in 1973, Don Carano built the company on Family Style Service and elevated it by offering his family’s signature dishes at La Strada in Reno. Now, visitors can experience them in Lake Tahoe, including their famous mushroom ravioli, recognized as one of the “Best Pastas in the Country” by the Food Network.

Following the launch of inperson sports betting at Harrah’s New Orleans and Horseshoe Bossier City in 2021, Caesars Sportsbook is now accepting mobile sports bets on its app. The experience allows sports fans to get closer to the sports they love by betting right from their mobile device in eligible parishes across Louisiana. Caesars Sportsbook already has several sports partnerships in the state and recently entered into an exclusive 20-year deal with the New Orleans Saints for naming rights to the Caesars Superdome and much more.

Fresh off a $170 million remodel of properties in Atlantic City, Caesars Entertainment is preparing to unveil an elegant new addition later this year when it opens Nobu Hotel at Caesars Atlantic City. Outside the hotel but still on Caesars property, a new Nobu restaurant will offer Chef Nobu Matsuhisa classics like black cod with miso or rock shrimp tempura. Caesars is planning more than $400 million in upgrades to Tropicana, Harrah’s Resort and Caesars Atlantic City within the next three years.

The superstar chef is opening his first Gordon Ramsay Food Market, a collection of restaurants and food stalls, at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. Take a trip back to the swinging days of Prohibition at The Count Room Live at Flamingo Las Vegas, offering a new live entertainment dining experience Friday and Saturday evenings. Tucked away in an intimate bar inside Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse, the new speakeasy is a throwback to Old Vegas, featuring craft cocktails and savory bites served to the sounds of “Prohibition Pop”—a mix of swing and funky jazz music performed by The Moonshiners. Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse embraces the rich history of Flamingo Las Vegas while presenting it in an elevated, modern way. Its name is a nod to Flamingo founders Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel and Meyer Lansky, his business partner, who famously created the first resort-style hotel on the Strip back in 1946 and forever changed Las Vegas. Guests are transported from the moment they arrive, as they enter through the bakery façade, much like in the bootleg days when anyone who wanted a drink had to enter discreetly through the back.

The Bugsy & Meyer’s menu features steakhouse classics with modern enhancements, along with a wide selection of rum cocktails, Prohibition-era libations and contemporary thirst quenchers. The speakeasy also offers an exclusive Build-Your-Own Old Fashioned beverage cart experience presented by a skilled mixologist. Proving young love can last a lifetime, Donny Osmond’s classic song just celebrated its 50th anniversary, and the singer commemorated the occasion in style thanking his fans with a special VIP event. On February 19 before his show at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Osmond hosted a one-night-only event where he met with fans for a Q&A and photo opportunity. Attendees also received a special VIP commemorative laminated pass, a signed “Puppy Love” collector poster and a custombranded Donny Osmond VIP mask.

NEW YEAR, NEW QUEENS Four New Cast Members Take Their Regal Places in RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE! Four new queens have joined the cast and three fierce new production numbers have been added to the most sickening eleganza extravaganza in Las Vegas herstory, RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE! The latest stars to slay the stage at Flamingo Las Vegas are Eureka O’Hara, Jaida Essence Hall, Plastique Tiara and Trinity K Bonet, who’ve joined a cast that also includes Asia O’Hara, Derrick Barry, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls and Vanessa “Vanjie” Mateo, who have performed in the show since it opened in January 2020. Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro is sweetening the deal in Las Vegas with The Boss Café by Buddy Valastro at The LINQ Hotel + Experience. The star of the hit TLC series Cake Boss is adding the new eatery to his Italian famiglia of Buddy V’s Ristorante, Carlo’s Bakery and PizzaCake. The casual, to-go dining concept is inspired by the neighborhood delis and markets in New York and New Jersey that Valastro and his family grew up with. He serves fresh-baked breads, Italian sandwiches, hand-crafted pizzas and a variety of sweets and pastries.

But at The Boss Café, it’s all about the Mozz (pronounced “Mutz”). At the Mozz Bar, guests can grab their favorite fresh mozzarella creation served with warm rustic bread and their choice of topping from basil pesto, roasted peppers, tomato-olive relish or tomato, fresh basil and aged balsamic. The Mozz was

created by Valastro’s fatherin-law and is made fresh daily in an open kitchen by the restaurant’s “Mutz Masters.” The café’s counter service offerings include several stations. Guests can choose from House Salads, like Pop’s Panzanella or the Hoboken Chop; the Sandwich Counter, with classics like Rosemary Ham or Caprese served on fresh Jersey focaccia; and Bakery Pizza, square pizzas including margherita, pepperoni or the Boss Supreme. The center of the Las Vegas Strip is about to become even more distinctive as Bally’s Las Vegas transitions to the legendary Horseshoe brand. The new Horseshoe Las Vegas will exemplify the spirit of the brand associated with gaming and poker. This spring, the resort will be making the transition to Horseshoe Las Vegas and bringing the beloved brand to this popular property. The changes will include a renovated exterior, new entertainment and food and beverage options, and a reimagined casino floor. Jason Gregorec, Senior Vice President and General Manager, adds, “We’ll be bringing in approximately 100 new games to the casino floor, with new slot machines, table games and electronic table games.” Gregorec notes that for guests, “First, and the most impactful, will be the design and renovation, giving it that special feel with the sophistication of the design and the warm tones, colors and the signature gold horseshoe.” The design team will evoke a handcrafted feeling with tooled leather in addition to the dramatic colors and the

The highly anticipated venue will celebrate many of Asia’s beloved dishes and preparations. Diners will enjoy flavors from across the continent, including specialties from China, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand. Dishes will include Peking Duck, hand-pulled noodles, dim sum and fresh live seafood, which highlight a menu full of both classic and creative fresh approaches to Asian cuisine. The immersive experience includes a hand-pulled noodle bar and wok kitchen that allow guests to watch the chefs create their magic. Bally’s fans will still be able to enjoy many of the activities they love, such as brushing up on their anatomy knowledge at the REAL BODIES exhibition and sinking putts at Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf.

THE NEXT DEAL The Las Vegas property isn’t the only location in the Caesars Entertainment collection of properties that is making a change. This spring, Horseshoe is coming to St. Louis, Missouri as Lumière Place Casino & Hotel begins a transformation into Horseshoe Saint Louis. The rebrand will include a renovated exterior, a new look for the casino floor– including updated carpeting and lighting–new slot options and a Starbucks opening later in the year. Caesars is also unveiling a newly branded Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino. Horseshoe Indianapolis, formerly known as Indiana Grand, underwent a recent expansion adding 25,000 square feet of new gaming space, including a live World Series of Poker Room with 20 tables.

The brand’s iconic golden horseshoe logo will be visible throughout the casino.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) news is one of the most exciting elements of the property’s transition. The 53rd annual WSOP comes to Horseshoe Las Vegas May 31–July 20. Gregorec says, “It’s very exciting because when you look at the history of the World Series of Poker, it was originally at the Horseshoe on Fremont Street and now we’re bringing it to the 50yard line of the Las Vegas Strip at one of the most iconic gaming properties in the country. It’s the perfect fit, and I think it will be very special for guests who have

John Legend can do anything. One of the top-selling recording artists of all time, the singer-songwriter has gone on to conquer other entertainment arenas, along the way racking up an impressive trophy case with his EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards). Wowing the world with his suave soul sounds and warm ember voice, over the last 18 years the global superstar has packed concert houses, composed for movies, executive produced numerous Hollywood projects and even burnished his acting chops as Jesus Christ in a live TV broadcast of the Broadway mega-hit Jesus Christ Superstar. Now he has decided to conquer Caesar— or, more specifically, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Legend will take centerstage at the Zappos Theater for his first Las Vegas residency, titled “Love In Las Vegas,” beginning April 22.

On Being Legend-Ary in Las Vegas “I just love being on stage,” Legend tells Caesars Player. “I love the connection that I feel with the audience. I love putting all of my energy and creativity into putting on a great show. And we’re going to do all of that for this audience in Las Vegas. It’s always fun to play in Vegas because people come from all over the world to enjoy the city and enjoy all the things the city has to offer. We want to give them an amazing show.” The Las Vegas shows will be even more amazing because Legend promises some Easter-egg-like bonuses, perhaps even some celebrity cameos. “That would be a matter of people’s availability and the timing, but we definitely plan to have some of our friends come. I’ve done a lot of collaboration over the years, and we’d love to have some of them come by.” And he plans on throwing in some improvised moments as well.

“That will change from night to night, you know, we’ll…make some covers that are unexpected, we’ll do some deep cuts that are unexpected. I think we’ll have a similar setlist every night, but we’ll do some different things depending on how the spirit moves me. I like to do a lot of that surprise stuff.”

He goes on to recall that with his concert tours, “We had a whole middle section of the show where I just sat at the piano and told stories and that changed every night and the songs that I chose to do in that moment changed every night, so [maybe we’ll] have moments like that.” With Las Vegas, showmanship is everything. “When you have a residency, it gives you a chance to kind of build out your production in a way that you may not have done upon on a traveling tour,” Legend adds. “And so it’s kind of a special version of a concert because we’re going to have a little bit more opportunities to stretch out and do some things production-wise that we may not have done if we were traveling on buses and trucks around the country. And so, it gives our creative team a lot more room to be creative and to do some fun stuff on stage that we may not have done on a normal tour. “I think as a lifestyle thing, it’s cool because I live in Los Angeles and it’s a very easy commute. It’d be easy to still be a very present father and husband while doing the residency and so there’s all kinds of reasons why it makes a lot of sense, but part of it is just kind of the milestone that it marks in your career. You have to be at a certain level and have had certain depth and breadth of repertoire to get to this point. I’m grateful to be at that point.” Legend wants his fans to know that love will shine throughout Vegas and throughout his show.

"In some ways we wanted to still be intimate and still be about my shows, which has a feeling of connection and warmth and romance and love that people feel,” he explains. “And so that’s one of the reasons why we want to call it ‘Love In Las Vegas’ because we’re bringing all that love that we put out there.”

I really wanted music to be my main lifestyle and to be my main source of income. I wanted to get my music out there to the world. I’m living my dream right now.” Right now, but as a child—for a brief time— there was another dream. “As a kid I wanted to be Ben Matlock,” he says, referring to Andy Griffith’s title character in the hit 1980s legal TV drama. “Because I used to love watching Matlock

And I think that’s probably why my philanthropic work has been so focused on criminal justice reform because I believe so often when people don’t have money or come from the wrong side of the tracks, they’re treated differently by our system. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa has had a love affair with Las Vegas ever since he opened his first Nobu Restaurant here in 1999, five years after the original Nobu debuted in New York. But he wasn’t done. In 2013, he took his brand to another level when he opened his first Nobu Hotel, coupled with one of his largest restaurants—this one with teppanyaki tables— at Caesars Palace. Guests staying at the boutique hotel can even order room service from an exclusive, Nobu-curated menu. Chef Nobu’s latest venture is a brand-new restaurant at Paris Las Vegas. With 140 seats, it is a smaller, more open restaurant compared to Nobu Restaurant & Lounge at Caesars Palace. It was designed by STUDIO PCH, Inc., which used natural woods for a lighter feel. The new venue is still home to his fusion cuisine, a marriage of traditional Japanese dishes with Peruvian ingredients. Guests can feast on fresh fish and seafood imported from Asia and Japan in the form of nigiri, sashimi and sushi, including everything from abalone to sea eel, toro, mackerel and barracuda. Among Nobu’s most popular dishes: yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno and black cod with sweet miso. Nobu Paris also has vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.

SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL A New Champ Is Crowned as the WSOP Moves to the Las Vegas Strip “Vegas, Baby, Vegas!” Actor Vince Vaughn resurrected his famous line from Swingers in announcing he’ll be Master of Ceremonies for the 53rd annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) this summer when the tournament moves to the Las Vegas Strip for the first time, ending its 17-year run at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. This year’s WSOP will take place at Horseshoe (currently Bally’s) and Paris Las Vegas, May 31-July 19. The Wedding Crashers star, who is no stranger to Las Vegas, made a special appearance at the 2021

WSOP Main Event, kicking off the first day of Final Table action with the announcement. Vaughn has been an avid poker player for much of his life and he may even get into a game or two. “I have such a strong connection to Las Vegas and am honored to be selected as the Master of Ceremonies for what is set to be the most anticipated World Series of Poker tournament ever,” he said. “Poker has long been one of my favorite sports, so to be a part of something as historic as the WSOP finally moving to The Strip is an absolute dream.”

Germany’s Koray Aldemir beat out a global field of 6,650 poker players to become the 2021 WSOP Main Event Champion. The longtime poker pro battled the field for 12 intense days, wrapping up play in a head-to-head match with American George Holmes. After six and a half hours of play, Aldemir eliminated Holmes on a final hand by winning with two pairs of tens and sevens. “It felt great. It’s the biggest final table in the world, so it’s a dream come true. Probably every poker player thinks about this moment when they watch this, believing, ‘Maybe I could be there one day,’” said Aldemir following his win, which came with an $8 million prize. Holmes picked up $4.3 million for finishing second. “This year’s Main Event exceeded expectations,” said World Series of Poker Senior Vice President Ty Stewart. “To see five countries represented at the 2021 Final Table was amazing.”

What happens when you pair one of the most iconic voices in popular music with a legendary stage? You get two hours of songs that have shaped our lives and the stories behind them, performed amid perfect acoustics by the artist who brings it all to life with passion and a dynamic bass guitar. Sting’s “My Songs” residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace returns June 3. Throughout the multidate engagement, the 17-time GRAMMY® Award winner will blast through hit after hit from his illustrious career. The set-list is a compendium of nearly two dozen chart toppers from his days with The Police and his solo career, including an acoustic version of “Roxanne” and songs like “Message in a Bottle,” “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” and “Every Breath You Take.” He also gives concertgoers a taste of his new music from his 2021 album, The Bridge. On stage, Sting is backed by a seven-piece band including father-and-son duo Dominic and Rufus Miller on guitars. During “My Songs,” the former schoolteacher uses his 1957 Fender Precision bass, which he has been playing for 30 years.
