THE FOG WAS HIDDING A BAD REALITY... photo by Jorge Matreno
the road to supertubos is unforgetable!
Hitting the road before dawn will ensure that you will watch some of the most mind boggling sunrises you will ever see, hidden between the mist. But what make the journey even more enjoyable is the fact that you’ll have butterflies in your stomach all the way, specially if you are on your way to the world renowned beach break of Supertubos. Supertubos was the spot for the last event of the tour and although a national champion was already decided, the fact that the contest was on that spot made for a perfect finish of the Meo Pro Surf League. The first day of most events seemed destined not to have a lot of waves. It happened at the TVI Cascais Pro, the second stop of the league, and it would happen again at the Meo Figueira Pro and in Peniche for the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Peniche Pro! But the second day had some swell and it didn’t stop until the end, when Nicolau Von Rupp secured his first win of the year!
