The previous event had already had good conditions but Pico da Mota overcame everything and for three days provided great waves for the best competitors in Portuguese surfing. This beach break perfectly received a swell that showed scarce conditions in almost all other beaches of our coast. Summer weather with an autumn like swell, with little wind and good formation, were the norm throughout the event and this was the perfect stage for Frederico Morais to show his best surfing.
After a slight “stumble” in Ribeira D’Ilhas, Morais from Guincho showed in Peniche how hot his surfing and proved that anyone who wants to beat him has tough task ahead. Is the title already his?
