What feature makes the “Ideal Eyes” youthful? Volume. As the face ages, our cheeks flatten as volume disappears and your profile “goes South”. So to restore your youth, it is important to revolumize your mid-face with prominent, high, and fully contoured cheeks.
Many patients are concerned about their under eye area, even from a very early age, and this concern intensifies over time. The aesthetic lower eyelid should blend seamlessly with the cheek. When the lower eyelid and cheek don’t blend together, the lower eyelid trough becomes more prominent. The most common concerns are darkness, hollowing, and puffiness, which can cause you to look aged and tired. Many of my patients request under eye fillers to enhance the tear trough area, which gives a more youthful and rested look.
A common effect of aging is the sagging of the skin above the brow and on the forehead. This is something doctors call “brow ptosis”. The results can make a person look tired, angry, sad, or just much older than they actually are!
VOLUMA is often used to soften under eye hollows by lifting and adding volume to the cheek area. It is not an appropriate product for the tear troughs as it is too dense for this area. When Voluma is well placed, it helps improve the tear trough area by reducing the tension on the lower eyelid. It is best to treat the cheeks first and then the lower eyelids next. This is because improving the cheeks often leads to less product being needed to treat the lower eyelids. This happens because the skin becomes more taut from being volumized in the cheeks. The Lakes at Castle Hills, Lewisville, Texas hosted the 2022 Northern Texas PGA ProScratch two day tournament March 28-29. Cyril Bounoil, PGA Tour Professional and Amateur Partner Robbe Trout secured the title of the Srixon/Cleveland Golf/Asics Pro-Scratch Champions in the Open Division and Stuart Hendley, PGA Professional with Mark Motes secured the title in the Senior Division. The team led by Bouniol who carded 9-birdies on his own in the final round, despite the 35+ mph wind gusts. “Yesterday, I played great, I hit the ball beautifully. Hit every green (in regulation)... and then I just putted really poorly. Today I made 9-birdies in that wind which was pretty solid.” The team of Bouniol and Trout finished the tournament with 18 birdies.
