Anna Papadimitriou and Manoli Paterdis met at a Greek community event when Anna was 15 and Manoli was 16. Manoli proposed at Spicers Peak Lodge in Maryvale. “On our 10-year dating anniversary, Manoli surprised me with a weekend away at Spicers. I thought it was just a weekend away and started getting ready for dinner. When I came out of the bedroom, Manoli had filled the lounge room with candles and rose petals and was on one knee asking me to marry him.”

“The inspiration for our wedding was bright and filled with love. When I think of love I think of beautiful pink, red and purple tones and candle light. After 12 years together and what had been an awful 12 months due to my dad passing away and Covid, my biggest highlight was walking down the aisle and locking eyes with Manoli and seeing his big smile. I was so nervous but as soon as I saw him, I instantly calmed down and knew no matter what happened in our lives, together we would be able to get through it and come out stronger. I felt so much love and happiness in that moment.”

“My biggest piece of advice, especially with Covid still around, would be to remember the reason you are getting married. Don’t let the little things or the uncertainty ruin the process for you. Enjoy every moment on your journey to marrying the person you love. We will be honeymooning on Hamilton Island, Whitsundays.”
