Brooke Hawthorne and Christian Kereszteny met playing Oztag (football). “The proposal happened during a weekend away on the Gold Coast with our beautiful little boy, Fletcher. We took a walk on the boardwalk at sunset and that is where Christian, holding Fletcher, got down on one knee. He had asked someone to take a photo of us and she quickly changed to video so we now have a video of the whole thing. So lucky!”

“Our theme was Modern Romance, with soft blush, white and nude tones throughout. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything we could have imagined. It is truly one of the best moments in the world when you get to marry the person you love, and our day was nothing short of magical. We are so thankful to everyone who was involved and how accommodating they were with us when we had to postpone our November 2020 wedding due to Covid. It was definitely worth waiting for! Our highlights included walking down the aisle and seeing each other’s faces. It is such a surreal experience and everything else just seemed to fade away in that moment. Also the fact that everyone could be there. The current climate is so hard and we felt so lucky that our family were all able to attend and share in our perfect day.”

“Our advice to others planning their wedding is don’t be upset if things need to change or you are unable to stick to your original plan. If you have to change a date or change vendors, it will all be OK. As long as your family is there, that is what really matters. We spent our honeymoon on Daydream Island. It was wonderful! We were so lucky with the weather and it was fantastic to be able to relax.”
