transforming lives and communities
About OM: Our Vision, Purpose & Statement of Faith DEPENDENT ON GOD At its heart, OM is a movement whose DNA is a group of people completely sold out to Jesus Christ and His commands. Moved by the Holy Spirit, we cross boundaries, we push limits. We want OM to remain a movement of God, utterly dependent upon Him and showing that dependence by our commitment to His Word and to waiting upon Him in prayer.
OM TODAY
the poor, to proclaim freedom for prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
OM's Purpose
Working in every region of the world, our aim is to motivate and equip Christians to share God’s love, and to strengthen and plant churches especially in areas where Christ is least known.
Established in 1957 by visionary, George Verwer, OM is a dynamic, international Christian missions movement. In the OM family of ministries, we have 6,100 workers representing over 113 nations in more than 110 countries and in world port communities, through our ship, Logos Hope. Today, our work varies hugely from country to country but our focus is always the same. We have One Message -‐ the same message Jesus brought -‐ that is to bring Good News to

Statement of Faith § We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. § We believe in the absolute deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ. § We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, the authenticity of His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His present mediatorial work in heaven. § We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit. § We believe He gives life, He sanctifies, He empowers and comforts all believers. § We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments in their original texts, are fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error, and are the final authority for the Church. § We believe that man was originally created sinless. Tempted by Satan, man fell and thereby brought the whole race under the condemnation of eternal separation from God. § We believe that man is saved through repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ. Justification is through grace alone. § We believe that the Church is the body of Jesus Christ composed of all true believers. The present work of the Church is the worship of God, the perfecting of the saints and the evangelisation of the world. § We believe in the personal and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to consummate our salvation and establish His glorious Kingdom.
