After graduating from the Royal College of Art with a Masters Anna was the only person of her year to be offered a US scholarship. Since that time Anna has had a very successful and award-winning career including the Major Award winner for the International Jerwood Drawing Prize. Mazzotta's work invites you in to a world of backstage gossip populated by strong women imbued with verve, vigour, vitality and sometimes cunning. Heavily influenced by the timeless glamour of film, theatre and their unseen workings her work allows you to see the world through her eyes, suffused with humour and adoration Her work doesn't always fit the typical popular conception of art as portrayed by the high street galleries today - from the femme fatale to a hapless stooge Mazzotta's work will leave you relishing her narrative skills as you enter her world.
