Their story: In 2018, we both participated in a summer internship in Atlanta. Throughout the summer, I was constantly talking about my favorite ice cream, Jeni’s, and Jack would always mention he’d been wanting to go. The last week of our internship, Jack mentioned getting a group together, but it turns out the “group” was just us. We chatted over ice cream for hours and the rest is history; we’ve been inseparable ever since.

Ceremony and reception: The ceremony was at my childhood church, First Presbyterian Church of Orlando; it was so special with two officiants that we’ve each grown up with. Our reception was at The Alfond Inn, and it was perfect, filled with so many thoughtful details. Favorite things included: the floral chandelier over the monogrammed dancefloor (which was constantly filled with guests dancing to the Buzzcatz), After the Tone voicemail guestbook, Jeni’s ice cream in honor of our first date, a confetti celebration during the last dance, and a football-themed after party. We’d love to give a shoutout to my mom, Jane McLean, the Director of Catering at The Alfond Inn. I know I’m biased, but I think most people would agree that she is truly the best!

Where they are now: We recently bought a house in Smyrna, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. Jack works in experiential marketing and I work remotely for an advertising agency. We have a labradoodle named Stella, who we adore.
