Their story: It was the middle of the pandemic when a mutual friend decided Matthew and I should date. I was a new mom and skeptical, but Matt was different – as our friend promised. We both went to the same high school (Bishop Moore) but never knew each other. We hit it off instantly and after he met my daughter, I knew he was the one.

Ceremony and reception: Our ceremony was a beautiful Catholic mass at St. James Cathedral on 10/22/22. The church was decorated with gorgeous florals, and the reception followed at The Country Club of Orlando. Our décor was classic and romantic with white florals and candles. Our band was exceptional, and when my daughter and Matt danced a daddy-daughter dance, there were no dry eyes.

Personal thoughts: Hannah: I felt an overwhelming sense of peace the entire day. We truly had the best team, and I was so happy, grateful and excited to marry Matthew. It was such a gift to be surrounded by all our family and friends. Getting ready with my sister, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my girls was so fun, and the quiet moments I shared with my mom, my dad and my daughter are forever dear to my heart. Matthew: I felt ecstatic! I was truly on cloud nine all day with my stunning and gorgeous wife! My dance with Tara was super special too, and I am thankful we got to do that.

Where they are now: Matthew works as a payment consultant with Stax Payments in downtown Orlando. Hannah works as a senior recruiter with Shyft6, a business optimization consulting firm. Hannah and Matthew currently live in College Park with their 3-year-old daughter, Tara, border collie mix, Nash, and are expecting a baby, due July 2023.
