The right-handed starting pitcher, who transferred to Orange Lutheran after moving from Colorado in 2017, had 120 strikeouts and only 11 walks in the 17-18 season, with an earned run average of .20 according to OC Varsity. “He has shown the ability to do things that I’ve never seen a kid do,” says varsity baseball head coach Eric Borba. Cole helped Orange Lutheran defend their title as national champions at the 2018 National High School Invitational tournament, which was held in Cary, NC in March. “That was probably the most fun week of baseball that I’ve had,” Cole says. “All the guys [came] together as a family and [had] fun.” According to Coach Borba, Cole brings both talent and integrity to his new team. “He’s a high-character kid who will treat people the right way. He’ll be the first person O range Lutheran High School to the field, and the last one to leave.”
